  1. While not blitzing was not at all surprising (and the strategy was as I expected). However, this week I see us blitzing for the first time this season. Dalton is raw and he has to prove that he can beat the blitzes. Expect to see a lot of disguised ones in the beginning to see what the kid can do. If he starts going down, then we will send all out blitzes. I don't expect Dalton to crack 100 yard passing this week. (sticking my neck way out on this one)
  2. History will recall this game as the one that began a 10 year domination of the Pats* by the Bills
  3. Brady is critical to the Pats* success as most great QBs are. Probably he is not as important to the Pats* as PManning is to the Colts. But, somewhere Brady must be thinking that if he gets injured, he will get Bledsoed by Mallett and may never see the field again as a Patriot*.
  4. The Raiders' beatdown of the Jests puts our win in perspective. We held off a pretty good football team, and held McFadden in check. The more I see these results, the better our performance looks thus far.
  5. Most of you know this but feels good to see it on the billboard: http://www.nfl.com/standings #1 (shared) record #1 in Points For #1 in TDs And, if it comes down to that, our three wins have been conference wins - a big plus later in the season. This win will probably hurt the Pats* more than they realize right now. EDIT: Sorry for duplicate post . mods please delete or merge with Scrappy's
  6. Are you kidding me ? If it wasn't for Brady's 4 interceptions, a phantom PI call this team would have lost today. The Pats just had an off day today. See what happens next week and get back to me.
  7. They should borrow ieatcrayonz from us
  8. Floyd fan here. For those too lazy to search: http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialPinkFloyd
  9. If we win, this 3-0 is going to feel a lot like 8-0 considering we beat increasingly difficult opponents including a consensus SB team
  10. I think Dareus+ Williams > whoever the Chargers and Dolphins have Actually, I think it did hurt them. I did not watch the entire game but SD was done in by their 4 turnovers
  11. When we are on O - He will want to take away the long runs and force Fitz to throw. He may blitz initially to see how the OL and Fitz respond. We need to pick up the early blitzes and burn them. Else we will see them all day long. He may try to confuse Fitz with different D looks but for the first time in several years I have confidence that our QB and OC both wont be fazed by such apparent trickery. When we are on D - Brady will do what he does best. Go pass heavy in the beginning while challenging McK and Wilson. Gron will be heavily involved as well. Folks, if the Pats* are leading by more than 14 at the half, we are hosed. They are not the Raiders. We cannot let this game get out of hand. Keep up with them and pull it out in the 4Q.
  12. Actually I was not commenting on the rights or wrongs of that policy. I just read that it was twitter's policy to not allow selling of handles. But, wtf do I know about twitter ?
  13. And somewhere, Pats* fans are screaming that Cowherd is a d-bag and that the Pats* still get no respect from the media
  14. It is tough to be depressed in a movie as boring as that one. What a waste of 2 hours it was
  15. This development is bloody hilarious and I am enjoying every minute of Netflix's squirming. Apparently (I am not a twitter user), selling a twitter handle is violation of the terms of service. So Netflix has to backpedal or change the name. What a faux pas. IMHO, Reed Hastings will be kicked out the door qwikly
  16. Why did you choose ypa as a measure of a franchise QB ? Why did you come up with 7.2 ypa as a cut off (even if it is approximate) ? Factor in the poor OL performance and you see that Fitz has done very very well and not just in the past two games. Even assuming for a moment that the ypa statistic is a leading indicator of greatness, Tim Brady is 7.4 ypa, Manning is 7.6 ypa. I argue both are better QBs than Kelly was especially in the biggest game.
  17. And here I was thinking only Evans was capable of doing that
  18. There is pressure and then there is pressure. We have to win at the line of scrimmage to pressure Brady. If the front 7 or more importantly, the front 3 r 4 can push their line back, we will go a long way towards hurrying his throws or disrupting his rhythm. I don't think we can blitz him too often unless it is a very well disguised one. Else, he will find the hot receiver and burn us big time. Look, he will have his good throws, he will get his long completions. However, if we can contain that damage and limit the scoring we will be fine. We cannot expect or try to shut thier offense down. Just do enough to keep their scoring to field goals and hope the O has another good outing. This game is winnable.
  19. Of all things, I did not expect him to be a traitor. Good that he did not survive, makes yesterday's victory even sweeter.
  20. Received an email from Netflix CEO today saying basically: "I am sorry, I screwed up and am trying to make things better. So, we are renaming our mail service qwikster. Hope you will enjoy the two names and two different websites which shows I am responding in ways that don't make a damn difference to our customers."
  21. The fact that he left with a clean uniform yesterday helped immensely. The combination of improved line play, Fitz's quick decisions & throws, Jackson's performances, Gailey's play calling are all working together beautifully right now. Fitz is the right QB for this team and this offense right now.
  22. Well 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Sorry, beerball
  23. Hey, Tommy - you are not better than the opponent if you 'give them the game'. Means you are incompetent and hence the worse team.
  24. I will add: - Good play calling on the O side of things even when we were down by 18. Also, fantastic execution led by Fitzy. - Byrd seems to be improving in run support. He was in places I did not expect - Our O today masked a pretty poor pass D. I am not sure what the problem is . We seem to have the talent. - Pretty good game management today which goes hand in hand with the O play calling. No obvious coaching flaw jumps to mind which was quite opposite to the multiple 'wtf' moments I would have in any Jauron-coached game - This team did NOT give up and kept coming back. I don't expect us to win next week but I want to see a well played game and a good honest fight. The media has started giving us some love in line with our gutsy performances. Go Bills !
