  1. A lot of people, like me, are ready for a complete redeal. Hopefully yesterday's game was real and permanent.
  2. I'll step in and bring some rain, but he didn't loft any really deep balls yesterday and he seemed to really put all he had into some of the medium throws. His two longest plays were that 22 yard scramble and that 23 yard pass to Evans which was probably 30 or so on the fly and he really seems to have heaved it and put some umph into it. He played a good game, but he hasn't proven that he has a consistent deep arm yet by any stretch. He may not even need it though to have an effective offense if he can just be very good on the short and medium stuff. The offense did step up and look good, but there was no deep component to it yesterday. Sorry.
  3. There are very few announcers that actually add anything to the game.
  4. No you're not. It's just the board miscreants complaining about everyone that didn't clearly see the Bills as now being 2-1 odds for winning the Super Bowl.
  5. It was a PERFECTLY thrown ball. Let's see whether or not this is true when, as they usually will be, are not perfectly thrown.
  6. lol Oh yes, gotta have a high motor to play on this team. Doesn't matter if the tranny is in idle, gotta have that high motor.
  7. Oh, well, if Chris Brown says it it must be true. He's never been blatantly wrong before or anything.
  8. lol Sadly that's probably about right. Then they'll discuss all the rest of the "crappy team" as individual units and make the same exact assessment. The conclusion will be that when discussing any given unit of the team, it's very good or up and coming, or whatever, but that the other units are holding it back. The unit being discussed then just gets rotated as if the prior discussions never took place. GO BILLS!
  9. Ahh yes, I completely forgot about the venomous fate. Thanks for reminding me.
  10. You don't get it though, it's not his fault. He has never had great talent and there are other reasons why he sucks too. Come on now, get with the program here.
  11. All he has to do is show up for camp and they will start talking to him. Oh, wait, he's in camp and has been trying to get an extension since last year. Scratch that then. He may have to hold out. Have faith, we can always count on Brandon and the front office. Brandon's so experienced that it makes your head spin.
  12. Let's see him be accurate on most of his short throws in a game too. Edwards defenders have to be pretty desperate to be flaunting single individual practice plays in order to justfy terrible performance last year and his starting status this year. We can wait for games. It should be pretty obvious in week 1 what the season is going to be like.
  13. lol Well, Murphy isn't even close to 300 lbs. He's listed on the official site at 6'5" and 264 lbs. I doubt that they underlisted his weight. Lanky is another word that comes to mind. Has he even ever started a game? Sounds like a few dozen other guys sitting around on the waiver wire.
  14. I don't think that anyone's ready to throw him under the bus after the first preseason game. I think that quite a few people wonder why he was even handed the reigns last year when the offense did just about nothing in 80% of the games he started and was among the worst in the history of the Bills under him. Now if you want to pin that all onto one preseason game, feel free, but you're ignoring quite a bit of relevant data however. I'm just wondering what all of the Edwards supporters are going to be saying when our offense doesn't do anymore than it did last year after half a season with him playing like crap starring in the lead role.
  15. You hit the nail right on the head, but far too few people understand that here. No QB we've had has had the support of the coaching staff for a full two seasons yet since Bledsoe left. Ironically it was Bledsoe that had it for what, four years. Once the problems are understood, then people can rant about them in forums like this and put some public pressure on the team.
  16. It hasn't even been a month from when everyone was talking about how McCargo was some kind of beast or something and you're already hammering him. Kinda early for this crowd.
  17. Murphy's very diminutive for a T. Isn't he the LS? I know he's not just a backup OT. The guy's puny.
  18. Well you tell us if that's the smart way to approach things. The team was terrible last season and this is an opportunity to get them a couple extra series under a new OC to establish some much needed chemistry and find their way. Leaving that for the season-home opener against Seattle is negligent IMO. Agree with you on the overreaction by many people, but only to an extent. We were not capable last season, so the assumption that all of a sudden this team is going to play capably is a poor one. Fans have a full right to be skeptical and critical right now. After we dust the Seahawks and put the Raiders and Rams to bed early, if that happens, which I too am skeptical about, then we can begin the "see, none of it mattered" talk. But not until then. And if we come out flat against the Seahawks, then the very first question that everyone is going to have is why didn't the first units get more reps in the PS games.
  19. If Edwards can't put up points I would think that they would make a change by midseason.
  20. Favre could flop in NY. It's not like he's 28 years old here. Besides, if we don't have the money to sign Peters and Evans, then we don't have the spare cash for Favre. Again, the problem is a lack of vision regarding our personnel decisions.
