  1. Can't get the Kelly video to work past 3 seconds. Got the Thomas on though. It's apparent these guys are, right now, in some roll with the team. Be it ownership, scouting or whatnot. One thing is for certain, they know more than they are saying, or not saying. I believe they have the coach picked out they want and the Nix hiring reflects that. The guy they want OK'd the move already and is putting together a staff. Remember, the Bills talked with Weiss and he said he was interested, my guess it would be as OC. I think the begining of next week we should see a new regime in place, hierarchy of who does what, including Kelly and Thurman. I believe our head coach will be named within the next two weeks as he probably already has the job. Maybe it's all just wishfull thinking, but I have a strang feeling about all of this.
  2. Actually, no. Listend to John Clayton on WGR yesterday and he mentioned that Marty said the same things about not returning to coaching prior to taking the job in SD. I believe Shotty would come back, if it is the right job. I think he would want a chance to redeem himself after going 14-2 and getting axed.
  3. Gone: - Edwards - His head is way too messed up to be useable in Buffalo - Lynch - Jackson is much better, we could use the cap dollars, maybe draft pick. - D-line - need to get bigger, faster, stronger and nastier. Maybe one of our most important needs in the offseason - Our strenght and conditioning coach - AVP - love the guy, but hasn't shown much as OC and when he was QB coach, what did he really do with Edwards? Stays: - O-line - I actually like the line we have, just need to make sure who our LT is. Like our guards (keep Incongnito) and center. Another year together should help. - DB's - With the exception of Whitner, they all can stay - LB's - Mitchell and Poz can stay. Remember a good D-line makes your LB's and DB's look better - Maybin - as an OLB until he "grows into his body" - Fewell - would not mind seeing him stay as DC (even though it won't happen), with and upgraded D-line - our DB coach Needs: - WR - OLB - DL - 2nd string RB - Tight End, probably on our roster already
  4. Most teams these days build around the divisional competition. Weiss would be good as he knows NE. Also, I toss out his ND career as that is a totally different animal vs. the NFL.
  5. "were is the toilet paper when you need it?"
  6. The Bills are so bad Rob's Johnson started our last playoff game.
  7. No, no, no and no. It would be the same QB's we have on our roster, just different names. Draft a college guy, keep Woods, Levitre, Hangartner, Incognito and Bell to hopefully keep him upright and move to the future that way.
  8. I would prefer Stevie Johnson. Won't happen though as Fewell tries again to win a winless game.
  9. Kelly has said many times he wants to keep the Bills in Buffalo and has stated he has a way to do it. I for one believe him. How he intends to do it and with whom is up for debate, but I do find it interesting how some of his ex-teamates are rallying with him, such as Thurman, Talley and Tasker. I don't believe those guys could pull it off themselves, but have a big time investor on their side. As for Kelly in any roll other than owner, I doubt it, not coaching or GM. My biggest concern is they think it will be easy to run an organization after being on the inside as players. I just hope they don't bite off more than they can chew and hire many smart football and organizational people.
  10. Thought his run blocking was pretty good today. Saw him take on two guys a couple of times and did well. The pass blocking by our OL was a mess as a whole. Don't really care if he is a dirty player. We need someone willing to go out and smash the other team in the mouth.
  11. Why be uspet? With that offsides, it helps us get a higher draft pick! As Maybin goes, he'll be a bust. New coaching staff, learning a new system will just set him back again. Unless the new staff decides to use him as a LB, he won't amount to anything as a DE with his size. Don't care about his great "first step", size matters.
  12. So, you've been to a Bills game then.
  13. Wonder if we could even get a 7th round pick for Roscoe...
  14. Not that I really had hope for this game, but my God after watching TE I feel hopeless. But, that may be the last we see of him with a bad ankle.
  15. I understand that if Trent comes off the bench and has a great game, that looks bad for this team. But who cares. I don't like Trent at all any longer, but he couldn't do worse. Even though Fitzy has finally gone over 100 yards!
  16. Call it the icing on the cake after another garbage outing by our beloved bills.
  17. Really glad to see Lindell thinks it's funny he missed the kick. Nice attitude.
  18. It was close. I've seen that not get called most of the time.
  19. WHAT THE HECK IS IT WITH ALL THESE LATE FLAGS! TOTAL BS!
  20. Right, cause the Bills aren't much better than a pee wee team.
  21. I'd really like them to consider Brohm at some point this season. Just to see what he can do. Thing is, Fewell is playing for this year, not next.
  22. Maybe if you read my post you would better understand my point.
  23. Correct. End all is Shanny probably didn't want to be here. About the Bills going public, they didn't do enough. They may have let it out they met with him but after those 7 hours, presumably, they did nothing. It's OK to talk about what you are doing, but at least follow through. By talking publicly, it let two other clubs get into the race for the "chosen few" ex-head coaches.
  24. Well if it is true that he stated he was a package deal with Bruce Allen, then they missed the boat. Also, we are meant to know only what the media tells us, but I don't think the Bills have been aggressive at all. The Browns have been very public about their love affair with Holmgren and the 'Skins axed, I mean, accepted Cerato's resignation and snagged Bruce Allen THAT DAY (I know, some back door deals were made). That is why the Bills are a day late/dollar short. Not aggressive enough, and just go get who they covet. Only the Bills know whom they truly covet, be it Shanny or someone who is currently with a team.
  25. Would like a coach with a pedigree, but Shanny? Don't know. Thing is the Bills lost him as soon as they telegraphed who they wanted. Just gave other teams ('Skins) a reason to move faster. Same old Bills story.. A day late and a dollar short.
