Thught it was hilarious when Tasker said “decisive decisiveness”
-
Had seasons for a few years, loved going to the games. Browning Nagle was our QB at the time. Certainly not NFL football. Not defensive on purpose, wanted high scoring, long throws, acrobatic catches(falling over the boards), no run game. Would still have my seasons today if they stuck around. On on a side note, thankfully mark hamister didn’t get the Sabres they way he drove the destroyers out of town. Had great attendance for an OK team.

What Do YOU Remember about Thurman Thomas?
davefan66 replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don’t recall the game, but he caught a ball down the right sideline stretched out and horizontal to the field. What I truly loved was knowing when the ball was handed off, he’d do his best to gain yards, and he did. When the ball was thrown to him, he’d do his best to catch and run, and did. Dont ever recall him taking any play off. -
Buffalo News in financial trouble
davefan66 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Print is dead. We recently went from getting the whole week, to just Friday to Sunday. Had too many unread copies being tossed out. Only parts of the Buffalo News I care about are The Gusto and the Sunday paper. Find it funny when you read news that is 48 hours old by the time I get the paper. Actually forgot what I’m reading happened. I don’t need to read a paper that is full of MY opinions. I want a paper that has its own opinion, but is not biased. Never believed a newspaper should force their options on the readers. -

Bills UDFA signings & Rookie minicamp invitees

Interesting throwing motion. Reminds me of Philip Rivers with that torquing of his upper body when he throws. Gotta keep his feet planted though, almost looks like a pitcher more than a QB. kid seems like a baller. -
EXACTLY why I think Beane blew the '18 draft. -Rd. 1

I believe our first round picks will have good NFL careers. Won’t know for a few years though, so can’t sit here and talk in absolutes they are boom OR bust. Aldo, can’t sit here and say a certain player would have been available if we picked in our original slots. Teams constantly jump other teams when they believe a player is coveted by another team. And who says those we missed on will pan out as productive NFL players?? -
Feel from what Jordan Palmer said, and these guys that Allen has the highest ceiling than any of the other QB’s in this years draft. my concern is the Bills need the perfect mentor for him. I trust McCarron knows his place as the bridge QB and will I his job. Just wish the Bills had the perfect QB coach to get him to that next step. Can’t wait for preseason to see what this kid looks like!

We have too many holes to waste all our picks on a trade up. That being said, do it and get a top QB already! -
Richie Incognito Un-retires via Twitter?
davefan66 replied to loyal2dagame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couple this with firing his agent, and it seems to me that Richie is having buyers remorse regarding the pay cut he just took. Bills showed resolve with Bolden last year and let him rot on the reserve/retired list. Wonder if Richie sees that and will “unretire” in hopes of getting cut. -
Just sharing... Mike® (@MikeSzafranek) 2/7/18, 3:59 PM Jimmy Garoppolo is at the Mulberry in Lackawanna with #Bills GM Brandon Beane

Too many other teams want a QB this year, unless it’s a smokescreen (don’t believe it is). Cost would prevent a trade up. Probably our 2 firsts this year, an early rounder this year and a first next year. Not with it for this QB class IMHO. The Bills need more than a QB. Need Oline, RB, LB, WR along with QB. Need to hit a few in FA, but drafting starters and depth will be very important also. I believe there are enough FA QB’s this year to address that position for us. I also believe the Bills May want to give Peterman another year to develop before tossing in the towel on him. I prefer they use all there picks to draft new players because it helps keep salary cap down, and sign a few good 2nd tier FA’s. As far as QB, sign a starter in FA, that’s where they’ll need the $$$$. All that that being said. If they have a conviction about a certain QB in the draft? then just do it. Whatever the cost is, just get your guy. I just don’t believe there is that guy this year.

Could be he wasn’t first choice when building this staff last year? Wouldn’t wack someone if they were responsible for how well a unit played....or at least I hope so...

What's the price to move up and get our guy?
davefan66 replied to ProcessTheTrust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not the year to grab a QB. Need to hit on our first two rounds this year to get immediate offensive and defensive help. Go all out in FA for a QB, and sit Peterman another year to see what he really has. Honestly, last year was the year for a QB, but the trade got us another first this year to hopefully fill out this team. -
Must say, not impressed with this guys history. Hopefully, he has learned from his mistakes, and can lead a good offense. Don’t need flashy, just competent situational play calls, and play to the strengths on our offense. Will be interesting seeing who stays and who leaves on the offensive staff. I feel we need a good QB, RB2 and OL depth to have an effective offense. This of course includes keeping our WR corps intact; sans Matthews who doesn’t seem destined to come back. Doesn’t matter if you have Bill Walsh calling the plays, if you have a QB missing wide open receivers, throwing too high or throwing too low, you aren’t going to win the big games.

Neither. I’m rooting for whoever the NFC representative in the Super Bowl is. Once the Bills are out, not tied to the AFC. Can’t stomach the patsies, and hate dougie. Although, if Jags get in, would feel better about our losing to them. Have to say, rooting for the Vikings. Something likeable about the team, and rooting for the underdog QB.

Would hate seeing st. Dougie beat the Steelers, but really want the best team who can beat the patsies to win. Feel the jags have a good D that might cause brady some pain

They know it will be a blitz on 3rd and long. Call a play that will beat the blitz. At least one time.....
