You're a regular hand-wringer, sky is falling type. You're forgetting that the Bills haven't relied on a powerful offense to win 10 of their last 13 games. They got points and field position in large part from special teams and a swarming defense. FIVE take-aways last week!! If the defense and special teams play up to their potential, all the offense has to do is keep a few drives going, keep the ball out of hands of future HOF'er Brian Griese (sarcasm), and score a few points themselves. I don't think they'll need more than one or two TDs to win it. And anyway, we've got some pretty decent weapons on offense. Two very capable receivers, a RB who averaged over 100 yds/game for each start, a good FB, and a QB who can actually move and put the ball on target. Will the Bills win? Who knows? Hard to predict who might be on and who might be off. But as far as man-to-man talent goes, I have no doubts they're capable of beating the Bucs. Tampa won a whopping 5 games last year. Chances are they've improved, but so have the Bills, who won 4 more games than they did.

OK...need some confirmation on this. #1....is the game actually broadcast in high def? #2 If so, aren't all high def games on NFL Sunday ticket, or do they not show them all? According to DTV schedule, Bills game not scheduled for HD. So what's up with this? I have my doubts that there's an actual HD telecast, but Sunday Ticket isn't showing it. My guess is that you're mistaken about the HD thing. What's your source for this info? is it the local Miami CBS affiliate saying "broadcast in HD"? Just because the station has HD doesn't mean the game was set up with the cameras and technical stuff to show it in HD. Anyone have the actual lowdown on this?

Funny thing is that going back to last year, the Bills are now 10-3 in their last 13 regular sason games, and still their viewed as some also-ran. Keep in mind that in many of those games they were flat out kicking ass against some teams that went on to make the playoffs. If the Bills can take out the Bucs and then the Falcons, the Bills will suddenly become the media darlings.

There's you problem right there! Your priorities are all messed up! What do you mean you're "not around every week"? You see, the difference between you and most of us is that the Buffalo Bills come first in the fall. We plan around it. You, on the other hand, do just the opposite. Let me guess....you go hiking, golfing, church activity, or participate in some other physical activity that strengthens the body and spirit? Jesus H Christ. Sit your arse down in an easy chair, eat some unhealthy fried and salty crap, drink some cheap beer, and get inebriated while you watch some football, then fall asleep, as the old lady is out spending your paycheck at the mall. I've been torn whether I want to be at the game or in Buffalo when they win. This year I can have it both ways. Go to the bowl in Detroit, jump in my Panterra, go 100 mph down the QEW, and make to Buffalo to celebrate with the locals before last call. Naturally, I'd go for coffee at Tim Hortons for breakfast.

What's not being mentioned in this whole "bucs beat up on Vikes" business is that Gruden is a genius and Tice is a blockhead. I don't think it's much of a surprise that the Vikes had their asses handed to them. Mularkey's staff will have the Bills much better prepared. I'd bet the Bills.

With Jason Peter's freakish combination of size, speed, and athletic ability, I wonder if at some point he'll be a regular threat in goal line situations. Anyone think he might be a terror in the backfield, used regularly as a goal line fullback? If the defense wants to stuff the run by crowding the middle, Peters has the speed to bounce around the end. Good luck to any safety trying to stop him one on one. Who thinks we'll see him as a RB or FB in the backfield?

Just curious if any of you from Atlanta will be flying up to Buffalo this weekend for the game. I'll be heading up this evening, flying Airtran. Is anyone else from here going to be on this flight? (it's the only Airtran Atlanta to Buffalo evening flight, so anyone connecting from Florida etc., will be on this plane) Looks like the weather will be ideal. Looking forward to seeing the everyone Sunday.

Can't believe nobody's come up with the solution. It's simple... You have a dish installed at the arena and then run some RG6 cable to a convenient area in the corner bleachers. Bring a small portable TV, your satellite box, and remote. Set the TV up on the bleacher in front of you and enjoy. Since your kid's father isn't coaching the team, the boy will probably only get about 1 out of every 5 shifts anyway. When he finally gets a chance to skate, give him a little wave and a golf clap as he goes by, then yell to him to "pay attention, dig in the corners, get the puck, pass the puck, or hustle". You could maybe even get it recorded on a cheap tape deck and give some arena kid a quarter to play the sound bytes when your kid skates pass the blue line. Remember, you'll be in a far away corner, so chances are pretty good he won't skate by you much at all. See, now you've covered your personal Bills needs and attended to his emotional needs. So your not the most attentive dad, it's more than my old man ever did and look how good I turned out!

Exactly. I get the superfan package (of course), and would under normal circumstances get the Falcons game through this package in high def.....except for one little problem.....living in Atlanta, it'll be shown on the local Fox channel, rather than Directvs channel 700-something or 90-something for high def. Our local Fox station is not yet picked up on satellite, only through over the air antennas. I may have to get an antenna. The DTV installers were supposed to install one, but they didn't think it would work, since I'm 25 miles from the towers, so they never bothered to install it. I'm now being billed for it anyway. I need to make a phone call about that issue today. Anyway - there's a lot of high def customers out there. I wish there were better options for picking up all games in HD. I'd be surprised if it's not the standard by next year.

Here I am, all set up with my HD connections, wide screen LCD, and it looks as if the only early season game to come in high def will be the Falcons game - which will be shown locally here in Atlanta, meaning NO HIGH DEF THROUGH MY SUNDAY TICKET. Ughhhh! The only chance I have of seeing it in HD is to get an antenna that MIGHT pick it up. With the huge sums of money generated through the NFL and the network broadcasts, it's hard to understand why they don't have the technology in place to transmit every friggin game in HD.

"not many" ?- What is that statement based upon? My understanding is that about 100 (or ½ of the games shown through the NFL Sunday Ticket) will be shown in High def. The 2 ESPN games will definitely be high def, leaving 14 other games with a possibility of being shown in HD though the ticket or regular network broadcast. They Bills play some good teams this year, and if they turn out to be decent, more of their games will be featured in HD. I don't think it's unrealistic to think that at least 5 or 6 of the non-ESPN games might be in HD. I'm guessing that about 8 or 9 of the Bills games will be shown in HD. Maybe more.

As with anything that's new or different, it may take some getting used to. This is the era of throw-back retro looking ball parks for baseball, but for football, I think this is an absolutely fantastic design that functional for the climate and represents a futuristic look. I like it a lot.
