    Reggie White was awesome but he played in a 4-3 with All Pro’s all over that Philly D-Line. Bruce was a 1 man show.

    Not really a fair question. Ralph was in his 90’s and without a clear plan of succession, no good GM or coach was coming here when they didn’t know who their future boss was gonna be.

    Kind of natural when something becomes so dominant for it to fall back to earth. They had a great run. Hard to make everybody happy especially in country as polarized as this one. It still has no serious national challenger. So many ways for people to consume their sports content now. ESPN still the dominant player. Just a more fragmented market.

    The INT by Flacco was the killer. Up 7 with 5 minutes to go. Pats hadn’t really stopped them and Newton hadn’t shown he could drive the team down the field quickly. That was the worst possible thing. No time run off clock and you give ball right back to Pats.

    Those OJ clips were enthralling. Dude was big, at full speed on his first step, had the change of direction of a scatback and could out run everybody. There’s no way there’s more than 3-4 RB’s in history with his talent. Jim Brown, OJ, Barry Sanders. Probably in that order.

    If you can’t stop the run (which includes QB scrambles) there’s not really much you can do to be creative on the defensive side.

    There’s only 1 Brady. Jones doesn’t even have the physical talent of Tannehill and he’s no Brady. Way over-drafted. That’s not his fault, but being drafted that high will probably ruin him.

    NFL consistently has the worst announcers/commentators who simply carry the NFL’s water. Whether or not you like the NBA, they’re at least secure enough as a league to have commentators who aren’t afraid to say when the refs get it wrong. Picking up the flag was ridiculous. Nobody’s saying it wasn’t a close call.

    I wouldn’t have a problem if he didn’t throw a flag. The point is a flag was thrown.
