Sorry el Doctoro, I missed that earlier. I initially thought that AB’s life ended the way it did because of decisions she made. In that regard, she was like Michael Brown and while he wasn’t killed, Jakob Blake. Bad $&$& happens when you make very bad choices. So…I thought I was on the same page with Billsy for once. I’m increasingly concerned about the lack of dialogue in this case, and the lack of media interest on the righteousness of the shooting. That’s really odd to me. It really smacks of “Ah she was shot, and she should not have been but she’s a conservative so who cares?” . Very Billstime-y. This has been an especially bad day for Billsy! 🤣🤣

I don’t mean to jump in on this systematic dismantling of Billsy, but he’s apparently going on record as saying she should not have been shot, but she was, and that’s the end of it. This would be the argument made when any other law enforcement shoots any person that should not have been shot to begin with——an odd position for anyone to take today. I don’t think Billsy is typing from his momma’s basement, I think he’s posting from Alabama, in the year of our Lord 1958.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Oh, and @The Frankish Reich and Sunny D— just imagine the messaging that might have taken place had Barrack and Michelle Obama arranged a press conference, assembled the media and said something like this: “We were so excited to celebrate Barrack’s 60th Birthday with our friends at our beautiful home. We started planning for this celebration of a life well over a year ago when we were hopeful that the nation would be on the other side of this pandemic. However, when it became apparent that the delta variant is an extremely dangerous adaptation of the virus, and when we saw the vaccination numbers stall nationally, we could not in good conscience push forward. Together, we call on all Americans...rich and poor...tall and short....conservative, independent and liberal...to join us and get vaccinated. To Black Americans specifically, we’re asking you to trust us on this, times have changed, we are on a brighter path—get vaccinated now. Oh, and special shout out to Leh-nerd for reminding us all that being in a $25,000 tent, singing, dancing and partying is not the same as being outside! You got us boy-eeee!” -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

I’d be happy to share thoughts on Trump’s modeling. What would you like to discuss? As it relates to the here and now, I assume Trump will have something to share about the abject hypocrisy of the event. He should, and it’s for the greater good. It would be appropriate politically. I’ll let you know about Florida when I get there next month—assuming Tom Hanx and Queen Bae didn’t import California delta variant seeds across the northeast with this hugely important celebration during a time of national crisis. Btw, when I was in Florida in February, unvaxxed and minding my business as I usually do, it was awesome to be out and about with the sun on my face. One of the hi-lights was a night on a restaurant patio drinking a beer. After winter in NY, shut downs and Andrew Cuomo, it really felt an awful lot like freedom. I almost wore a Defund Five-O shirt to guarantee the virus stayed clear of me, but decided to live on the edge. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

I’m a realist. I look at actions v words, consider the agenda of the people in question, and what they may know that I do not. It’s the same approach I took when watching widespread social justice protests and gatherings, with support from liberal politicians as if no one ever suggested those specific actions were exactly what spreads the virus. I have no issues with Obama having a COVID party, no issues with him making scoodles of money after leaving office, or him using the world as his personal playground. I just recognize this action for what it is—a bunch of wealthy liberals with agendas doing the exact opposite of what common sense tells us. We can get into the weeds about all these folks being 100% clean and tents being airy, but none of that passes muster IMO. A tent on the lawn with 500 people jammed into it, singing, dancing and carousing is not an outdoor venue. Behavior is modeled, or it’s not. In this case, it’s not, and lots of folks on both pro- and anti- vax sidelines look at what took place and go “Hmm, now that’s weird”. Additionally, the entire event was discussed, optics included, pros and cons weighed out and they decided to push through because they knew they could manage the fallout. -
It’s silly to argue that political committees behave politically, and that a politically motivated committee will result in a fair and factual accounting of what occurred. The FBI should investigate, the facts about who did what and to whom disclosed, and politics should be kept out of it. While unlikely to occur on a non-partisan basis, that’s the appropriate resolution.

Frankish, you’re a good poster but I have to take issue with your defense of “outdoor” partying. First, as @Chef Jim astutely noted, hundreds of people milling about in a structure designed to keep the elements out hardly qualifies as “outdoors”. That’s, in fact, the whole idea of the tent. On the level the elites play on, they tend to be exceptionally sturdy, well lit, secure and heated/air conditioned as necessary. That issue aside, on this level, you have people traveling from all across the country (and likely internationally), from yellow zones, red zones, hot zones with exposure to everything that entails. Additionally, while traveling, much of the interaction would be of an indoor nature—airports, rest rooms, restaurants, limos all along the way. While absolutely possible there was 100% compliance with CDC mask and distancing guidance, given what we see from the photos here and the generally tendency for power brokers to ignore their own directives, it’s seems unlikely. Finally, the question comes up about the optics of this sick rager. According to the experts, we’re dealing with COVID and the delta schmelt variety, we’re at mission critical status and one of the leading liberals in the world opts to have a maskless, distantless, climate &$@&ing hoedown at his massive palatial estate, exposing Vineyard residents to COVID and Delta schmelt infections just because he had a birthday? The reality to me is it’s another reason to question the National narrative on Covid and Delta schmelt my. See, I don’t think Barrack, Kerry, JZ and Beyoncé, and the remorseful bully Chrissy Tiegen have any desire to become infected or infect their loved ones. I assume Barrack and his event coordinators have access to state of the art intel and decided to push forward secure in the knowledge that all is well. -
I believe the Screw-Personal-Choice crowd here will really need to see the “data” on c-positive people entering the country through the southern right-of-way. On the one hand common sense suggests these poor souls are exposed to all sorts of horrible things—assault, abuse, rape and disease—-but on the other hand they may be covered under the Biden Social Cause COVID-Hover amendment that directs the virus not to infect. The data is projected to be available for public review in 4th Q 2027.

Interestingly, an investigation into something as multi-faceted and complicated as the election is batted around as something that simply must be resolved within 60 days, and by day 2 some people were clamoring for the end to the investigation. Here we are at day 250ish, wild liberal conspiracy claims running amok, the obligatory politician dramady ramping up and as sure as night follows day, it’ll end politically. Whatever else comes of it, it’s a National disgrace that the Capitol could be “breached” by a bunch of middle aged malcontents and a few guys dressed like they’re on their way to a Vikings and Vixens fraternity party. Someone’s metaphorical head should roll, and it’s a stunning indictment of the process that it has not happened yet in a very public way.

This young man is incredible. The wrestler he beat to go to the olympics, Nick Gwizdowski, is a two time NCAA champ and local legend (from Duanesburg, NY near Albany). I hated to see him lose, but GS is a phenom. Great victory!

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
You can’t have people who have the income and ability out meeting their personal obligations, or next thing you know the next guy will feel responsible to meet his. Then, suddenly, we’ve got honorable people doing the honorable thing across the spectrum! -
Biden fumbles pandemic cure
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I understand that you feel this way, it's always difficult when the light of hypocrisy is shined upon the perpetually indignant. Nonetheless, I'll press on, secure in the knowledge that when I lose the “put em on the island”, “take the kids”, and most recently “let em die” guy, I lose nothing. -
I used to think things I don’t think anymore. All I know is that after the dust settles, war for oil presidents and those who accused him of sending young people to their death under false pretenses are just the bestest of buddies. How does that happen?

Biden fumbles pandemic cure
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
He’s responsible for not having the plan he bragged about to shut down the virus, for allowing seeds of doubt about the vaccine to be shared by key members of his administration especially to communities most vulnerable, for sending mixed signals on masking/unmasking, and for the deaths of the people on his watch when the vaccine was there, teed up for him to simply deliver. Biden was basically UPS in this role and wasn’t up to the task. Hell, it’s like you want to give him credit for the Trump vaccine being eligible for those who were always going to get vaccinated to begin with. You think that qualifies as him doing his job? You should raise your standards. He should mandate vaccinations, but to do so would alienate too large a segment of his base. He’s a politician, so an alternate plan must be formulated. Instead, his plan is to wait it out, hoping businesses will bail him out by putting the squeeze on them. So, he doesn’t do the hard, dirty work folks like you voted for. He wakes up, wanders about with his vacant-eyed stare, maybe seeing Ted Kennedy or Cornpop waiting for him on the other side. While he’s fiddling about like wicked Uncle Ernie, the virus spreads. I’ll give you credit though—you never speak against the family. You would have been an awesome foot soldier for La Cosa Nostra. -
DeSantis For President in 2024?
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Biden had everything he needed COVID-related from day one. The vaccine prep work DJT, the feds and private industry had promised was completed, Trump had been infected with COVID, recovered and ultimately vaccinated. He was the architect of the plan to save millions of lives, and all Biden had to do was not $&@& it up. Yet, he $@&ed it up. Can’t get the people who don’t trust him to trust him. Can’t get millions of his constituents to trust him. Harris and company were shooting their collective mouth off encouraging vax hesitancy among constitutents and idependents. Biden bragged about having a plan that would stop COVID on its tracks. As a career insider he should have had things lined up, but somehow he botched it. Broken promises, horrible messaging, bumbling the work at the southern border as it relates to COVID spread…. Alas, all was predictable. Brain turning to puddin, the standard old man gaze off into the distance where maybe he sees his old pals Ted Kennedy and Cornpop waiting on the other side, calling it a day after raisins, prunes and a quick meeting with a press warned not to ask him the tough questions like “Do you know what city you are in?”. Sometimes, in his most lucid moments, he must pine for the old days when instead of pretending to be a functioning president, he had a simpler pretend life, driving 18 Whillers across the Great Plains of Delaware and southern New Jersey. -
There was a lot not to like. Full disclosure, I thought he was pretty entertaining on The Apprentice but never would have considered a vote for him when he first announced. Truth---a life long conservative, when it looked like Jeb Bush (blah), DJT (blah), Hillary Clinton (most definitely no), I pondered a vote for Biden should he have run. It was an amazing time in American history, the 2016 election.

No, I won't do that at all. I do forgive you for your harsh words as you struggle through your mental health crisis. It is clear that you support virtually everything you have accused Trump of doing so long as it suits your own political agenda. You have no issues with allegations of an illegitimate election, weaponizing the intelligence community, talk of coup, allegations of treason and the attempted overthrow of the duly elected 45th president simply because it was politically expedient for you at the time. Let me help you: Zero.point.zero.zero was the outcome of the attempted coup of your people. Not a sniff or a whiff of charges against DJT when they had the time, money, resources, House of Congress, Intelligence Community, the media pundits and Franz Mueller at the helm. Not a traffic ticket, a jaywalking charge, not nothing, and not nothing forever. Let me help you further: The 45th president gave way to the 46th president on the date and time he was required to do so. All the Doody to Warm twitter feeds you're hyper-fixated on....hold on a second ::yawn::.......citing yet another obligatory source who for some reason requires anonymity while detailing the ::gasp:: potential overthrow of the county will lead to nothing and changes none of that. You were left with egg on your face (I assume it's egg, hard to say with you kneeling before your leaders), and simply revamped the argument thereafter. They treated you like a boy because you allowed yourself to be treated as such. Grow up. Demand more. Your rage should be directed at the people who lead you around by the nose, but I'm happy to oblige in the interim.

All kidding aside, it amazes me how people fool themselves into thinking they are on the side of righteousness when drawing a line in the sand on these issues. To be fair--we all do it on one level or another, but these jamokes have super-sized the hypocrisy game. One side says "Trump lies"....while voting for Joe Biden, a guy with 50 documented years of lying about just about everything. One side says "Trump cast doubt on the election process!" while competely ignoring the statements made by Warren and Klobuchar about exactly the same thing. One side says "January 6th insurrection" while we all sat and watched the wide-scale, not-in-dispute sacking and pillaging of American cities and institutions all last summer. One side expresses indignation on Trump's call to Ukraine and alleged shakedown, while voting for Joe Biden ON CAMERA bragging about inserting himself into the Ukrainian political system and demanding a rando prosecutor (who just happens to be investigating his crack head son) be terminated. One side expresses faux indignation about Trump's crude, but factually honest, assessment of what some women will allow a wealthy, powerful celebrity to do, call it "sexual assault" but cast their for for Biden as they whistle past his accuser of an actual violent, sexual assault at a time when the Senate was the epitome of the Old Boys Frat Club. One side expressed faux indignation about Trump and racism, yet gleefully pull the lever for Joe Biden, a man with his fingerprints (and rhetoric) all over legislation that helped to destroy inner city communities and specifically targeted black Americans. One side expressed disdain for the "fake news" moniker Trump elevated to almost mythical status in popular culture, all while raging on about Fox News long before Trump prevailed against Clinton. As for Trump, whatever your feelings are about the man, he has an otherworldly ability to tell his enemies to "Suck a nut" and simply cannot be broken under the traditional methods used to destroy political enemies. He just doesn't care, and he certainly exposed a tremendous amount of hypocrisy on the part of the political system and major media cabals in the country. The issue has been discussed many times in the past, but Trump took the fight to them on a nuclear level.
