Good stuff on morons. You mentioned Project 25, so kudos to you as a centrist for working that in on a thread about the Biden DOJ conducting surveillance on senators from the other side. What are your thoughts on the allegations, well, actually the facts here? The FBI seems to think it’s problematic, and the Senators think it’s problematic.

So, I get some of the theories…..expanding. 9/11 implosion for example. Someone says the building collapsed funny and scientifically it looked like a controlled demolition….and next thing you know everyone is quoting like they are a structural engineer with a minor in architecture who worked for 20 years in the demolition game. The whys and hows of Biden being deceased…not so much. Then again Fergie thinks I run with @ComradeKayAdams as an alternate screen name for reasons I’ve never quite understood, and some fools worship Luigi Mangione.

I was talking to a guy I know, and who I think is a good dude, during the Biden admin. We got to talking about all that and he told me, calmly, rationally his theory on who was really in charge, the election of Biden v Trump and I asked him about stolen elections. His theory was that Trump won, was in power and that Biden was dead and it was all going to come out in a couple weeks. Trump triumphant, Trump Deep State etc. He saw the look on my face, said “I lost you with Biden being dead, huh?”. Truth is he lost me before that, but I said “Yeah, I don’t think that’s true.”. He kinda shrugged, laughed and told me his wife says he always loses people when he revealed that Biden was dead (natural causes btw, he had actually been dead for a while). That was a few years ago and as sure as I’m sitting here, he just laid out the facts as he saw them. If I saw him today at the supermarket, car wash whatever, a very likable guy who wasn’t looking for trouble or a fight. I just don’t ever understand how he got there.

There's some truth here. We had "Biden cognitively sharp", Hillary playing fast and loose with security, Obama blaming some poor bast@rd for making a video and inciting the Benghazi incident, and all those stories of surveillance and authoritarian overreach by DOJ, Comey, Smith et al. Add to that private companies recognizing civil exposure and settling to avoid getting hammered in court, the Ashli Babbitt settlement and everything else. Who would have bet all those stories get sorted out in 2025 with he way things looked through 2023 and up through November of 2024? What a wild ride! Like here though, these issues will move some people and not so much others.

Under normal circumstances, I’d have asked you directly for clarification. However, after your most recent debacle with lifting comments from posters past without attribution, and being outed in about 6 minutes for doing so, I thought it wise to go directly to JD. Mind your business, (maybe) Dr. Karen.

I think I missed a series of texts here. Fergie is like Rick James--super freaked about the fire, not so much about the democrat who is apparently pro-murder. He seemed to start off with the assumption that the owners of the home were the targets of a hit, but then segues to beloved politicians shaking hands like an old Southern gent and people not wanting to honor him. Can you fill in the gaps for me? The fire was awful, of course, as it would be for any family who lost their home. Thankfully the injuries appear to have been minor, and at this point it seems like there is no evidence of arson. I'd think we would all agree that's a good thing?

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

I always hate to see people lose their job, but it’s the Opinion section and one guy has been there nearly 40 years. Maybe time for some new blood? -

No fireworks on July 4th, either. Crazy. -
No idea how widespread it is, but there are enough clusters of issues relative to parents rights, locker room issues, and for that matter sexual abuse at schools that are worthy of discussion. “Massive movement”, no, I would agree with you. However, I do believe that parents have a right to speak up, voice their concerns where they feel it’s necessary. Quite a few years ago, I was speaking with the friend of a friend, an acknowledged liberal who was also a Pats fan. He was employed as a school counselor and spoke about some of the initiatives he was spearheading. I can summarize by saying he put lots of emphasis on toxic masculinity, how every male needed to be held to account, that sort of thing. I thought he was a bit nuts, and he went on to share the abuse his father heaped upon his mother and how it impacted him. Well, I get that and have sympathy for his experience, running a program hanging guilt on a generation of students was not the answer. It wasn’t all that much later the #blamehim movement became a national movement. So, imo, push back on things that bother you, even if it might not bother someone else. Oh, and on your thoughts regarding raising strong children to be strong adults, I always encouraged my children to view agendas, consider the narratives and decide the impact on their lives. Part of that was encouraging them to push back on my narratives, shaped and formed by my experiences.

Interesting, would you agree this is just one man’s approach to Thousand Islands dressing? I know a guy who’s a well known drag queen in the local clubs. To be fair, I had no idea he was well known until a coworker told me. Nice enough guy, a tad over the top on certain business interactions in a very dramatic sense, his husband tends to temper that a bit. My children are grown, but being candid, I’d have had issues with a drag queen event at their school when they were young. Should they choose to attend drag shows as adults, have at it. I’d be DD as I occasionally have for all sorts of shows. Dude, we’re up to 12? We’re like Bezos in his garage in January 1995. It’s all about to pop! Soon….15….then 20. Then, gosh, who knows?

Donald Trump: The homegrowns are next
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Using the potentially deceptively edited video that outraged HomeStime, you might have just sent: Lm suc a jo you a. Needing any more than that apparently only scratches a conspiracy itch! -

So, you think the random bystander not acting as my personal film crew was indeed spinning the story? I don't know that to be true, but I know you were outraged, and just wondered why you thought the entirety of the video wasn't included. For the record, when I go to a movie, sporting event, or concert I like to see the beginning, too. -

In these videos, there are cameras held every where by anti-ICE individuals. You can actually see them in the frame, and I’d assume you would acknowledge that there is precious little at street level that isn’t recorded or photographed. My question for you—-why do these videos fail to capture the entirety of any of these events? Any thoughts on that? -
Yeah, ok, like Publisher’s Clearinghouse is going to show up at my door with a check for a couple mill? Answer the durn phone!

You’re right of course, who knows what’s in this guys history that yields this sort of madness. Can’t control the media narrative and the commercial press, they’re going to sell what they sell to people who buy what they sell. I believe more than ever we should treat the areas where we can find common ground with those on the other side of the aisle as fertile ground. Frankish may well be one of those pony-tail and bowtie wearing libs with a penchant for grandiose oration, but he’s correct here.

Jimmy Kimmel back on the air

Ah, the old “Become that which you loathe” approach. Sounds like you’ve thought this one through. Godspeed, friend. -

It’s probably just a perspective thing. Seems to me you pretty much hang around, cr@pping on people, negativity and ugliness seems to be where you’re most comfortable. I think it’s got to be pretty emotionally draining, and am most definitely glad I don’t see most things through that lens. It’s not that I haven’t had stretches like that—I have—but I feel like it it pretty much sucks. Anyway, thanks for almost believing in me. I’ll keep holding out hope for you.
