  1. Boom: https://electionlawblog.org/?p=138423
  2. Riding truck with UPS is a backbreaking job. They deserve every penny they get. Amen. He’s entitled to his point of view and his song. How it is a conservative anthem confuses the life out of me. If anything, it’s a call to unionize. It’s also an anthem in support of socialism (a muddy concept in today’s society, to be sure). He’s not happy with his lot in life. The solution isn’t to whine about things not breaking his way after dropping out of high school and to blame others for his plight. It’s to get to work and attacking those problems.
  3. Returns haven’t been great, but we had a sugar high with the Trump tax cuts and a black swan with COVID. It had to come back to earth at some point. And we as a nation probably have a big bill today. It seems like everything and everyone operates on credit. It can’t last forever.
  4. Serious question - do you understand how bail reform works? From which part of the Constitution did our resident constitutional scholar pluck that gem?
  5. I’m simply asking for evidence. For starters, this mystery video. And, if you have the evidence, maybe you can win some hearts and minds and direct us to these smoldering firearms.
  6. I haven't been looking. Where's the evidence? Or is this just another one of your hoaxes? Got the evidence? Or is this just another "HCQ is an effective treatment for COVID" type of thing?
  7. Incorrect usage. "Hoax" is properly used when someone says something that is false. For instance, "hoax" would properly follow "Trump won the 2020 presidential election!," or "windmill noise causes cancer!," or "Ivermectin is an effective treatment for COVID!"
  8. Incredibly funny, but not my thing. I much prefer the three-day-old hot dogs at a 7-11.
  9. And in their short time on the moon, the Indians have accomplished more than you have in your many years on this planet.
  10. By your logic, Trump then is done. President Biden is the leader of the free world. Trump's concerns right now consist principally of golf, eating red meat, lying about his weight, and, in his view, a few "fake indictments." If he can't deal with "fake indictments" and procuring the proper ketchup to apply to his steak, then I don't know how he could possibly handle the stress of the presidency.
  11. Get the dictionary and the community Ed sign up sheets first!
  12. Hoax. We’re not friends. Let me know how things go in your search for an appropriate dictionary.
  13. Yup. Maybe you can go to one of those community Ed programs and take such a class yourself. Maybe then you’d know what you’re talking about, or at least have a better understanding of the depth of your cluelessness.
  14. The hits just keep on coming, MAGA. A sitting R senator says what everyone with a brain knows: https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/20/politics/bill-cassidy-trump-should-drop-out-cnntv/index.html
  15. Probably should have found that dictionary before you slinked away with your tail between your legs.
  16. Hoax. You got schooled. Let me know what comes up when you find that dictionary.
  17. You obviously are clueless and beyond your depth, but I’ll still explain the import of the 1860s dictionary even though trying to educate you is like trying to teach a chicken about gravity. Courts of law will define “insurrection” in that amendment in the context of the time the amendment was drafted. So your opinion, which is generally useless anyways, is especially useless here. The best evidence of the meaning the drafters accorded that word lies in the debates with respect to that amendment and — you guessed it — a contemporary dictionary.
  18. And, I’ll add, the roots of the 14A probably lie on the insurrection act of I believe 1807, which was used in large part against slaves. So that military claim you made - as bogus as trumps fake elector scheme.
  19. Got your 1860s dictionary yet? Therein lies the answer. The drafters didn’t like the rebels. And I’m going to guess that the language used in the 14A will cover the folks who importuned “hang Mike Pence” and didn’t want to call off rioters trying to disrupt the electoral college against a backdrop of making bogus allegations about the election result. But we’ll see when you get ahold of that dusty dictionary. Rest assured, others will.
  20. You need to find an 1860s dictionary. Your opinion of the meaning of insurrection has no bearing on this issue. Sure. Maybe check out the tail of the Bruen opinion while you’re at it. Or Heller. Whatever suits you.
  21. I'm with you on Dodson. I also wonder if McBeane is going to make a move to shake things up a bit after last night's sleepwalk. Maybe somebody gets an early release. Maybe the depth chart somewhere gets a shakeup. (How about some first team reps for Van Demark this week, for example)? It's time to rattle some cages.
  22. Hoax to both. To the extent it is brought, this case will move quickly and will be given priority. And, dictionaries from the 1860s may soon be at a premium. You two dummies can call me all the names you want. But Mike Luttig just so happened to come up with the same point after it was made here. (I believe; I didn't see the Luttig article until this morning.). Bottom line - the Trump goose is gonna get cooked, and there's nothing that MAGA can do about it.
  23. Hoax. Courts of law will. Your boy is cooked. Carry on.
  24. Hoax. When did you become so familiar with Supreme Court practice?
