  1. This is what’s so interesting and frustrating about team sports in general. There seems to be times when a team just doesn’t have it and everything is a battle every play. Those usually end in big losses. Then there are the days when that momentum swings and suddenly the tide turns from one team to the other and it’s a tsunami. I’ve often wondered what is at work to create momentum and the effects it has on games.
  2. Maybe you just picked a poor example for the title of your post, but it sure sounds like the Bills had called a play to beat man coverage, the Chiefs switched it up and went into a zone, and Josh just free-lanced after Torrence made a great individual block; that play was more about great players making something out of a nothing play call. “Allen said he appreciated “coach (Sean McDermott) for trusting us” on fourth-and-two. The play call was for man coverage, but KC dropped into a zone. “It's a man concept where Khalil (Shakir), if there's a man on the left side, we fly the back, try to create some eye candy, if you will, run him through the line,” Allen told reporters. “It's just like a mesh play. And again they went zone, so, just made a play.” Right guard O’Cyrus Torrence drew the assignment of Chiefs star Chris Jones on the biggest play of the game and cleared him out of Allen’s way. “I didn't see him until he was already like 10 yards downfield, when (Allen) was just running people over, running through tackles,” center Connor McGovern told the Times Herald. “But the big thing on that play was I didn't know until afterwards O'Cyrus had a great block (on Jones), an inside move, and he takes him and throws him literally past me. And that just gave Josh this huge open hole and he just took off. So credit goes to Cybo on that one.” https://www.oleantimesherald.com/newsletter/it-s-josh-qb-s-run-delivers-a-huge-bills-win/article_06b939a0-a57a-11ef-9209-53df3039cdb4.html
  3. The challenge was dumb, but I don’t blame McDermott. He has John Parry to make those recommendations and I assume McDermott followed John’s advice.
  4. The GDT is like PPP, some places are best avoided, unless you’re into toxic pathology. 🤣
  5. Other than that play, Josh was 11 for 29 yards, so they were doing a good job of containing him. Everyone in the stadium wanted and expected Josh to take that play himself, except the Chiefs.
  6. The coaching issue in that scenario is why didn’t KC have a spy on Josh. Made no sense, unless Spags had the Bills minus the points.
  7. I believe you meant to say “of coarse”.
  8. Your title says one thing but your post is all about Josh making the play on his own.
  9. Nah, he just didn’t want to be like those wimps in Detroit.
  10. I heard Bleacher Report has a good article on the Bills’ needs.
  11. I would definitely ask for a refund on that article. That’s ridiculous.
  12. Often people misuse “core” when they really mean “corps”. Props to the OP for correct usage of “core”. There’s hope for us all.
  13. Not to mention how small he is. He seems to get smaller every year. By the end of a new contract, he’ll be basically Danny DeVito.
  14. it that the OP doesn’t know irony but is unintentionally ironic?
  15. If they can just get Shavers going, this WR room will loudly get better.
  16. Apologies if already posted; apparently Taylor didn’t enjoy Bills Mafia treatment last time. https://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/for-petes-sake/article295704259.html
  17. He sure as hell didn’t go to Harvard though. He doesn’t even HAVE a wedding ring.
  18. Isn’t it fair to say the cost of construction materials, specifically specialized items, have a market value that moves over time independent of the typical inflation measures which is often applied to household and private consumer goods?
  19. You have terrible reading skills and consistently have an incorrect understanding of the discussion points. To your credit, you do a great job of being a troll.
  20. It could also be more labor hours are being spent than budgeted. It’s really difficult to forecast how long a project of this size will take, especially with the employment of M/WBE firms that tend to be less experienced. I was talking with the owner of a very large paving contractor about the rebuild of I-81 in Syracuse. He said the state DOT is experiencing cost overruns due to the number of contractors working on the project, and the fact they need to have 2 union staff for every 1 non-union staff; this is creating inefficiency in teams of people who have no experience working together. I imagine the same thing could be happening at the stadium.
  21. The time to run and evaluate those imaging tests are slow due to not enough staff available. This is from hospital nurses who were explaining why it took so long to schedule and get these tests done for my MIL who recently passed from pancreatic cancer. Now, it could be just a local issue, but that’s how they explained it to us.
  22. Rodgers has more rushing yards than passing yards at the moment
  23. Josh is a remarkable person. If I had a son, I’d want him to be rich like Josh. Hopefully, he’d not have a personality like Mahomes or Rodgers.
  24. C’mon! It’s game day! Haven’t you started drinking yet?
