  1. Both Ford Fiestas (see Avatar). The first one was yellow, the second one was orange. I bought the first one in 1987 for $200, and the second one a year and a half later for $250. I added a third for additional parts the same year for about $50. I milked that $500 investment until 1992.
  2. A buddy and I, back in the early 90's got John Elway to turn around and tell us to shut up. We were in row 5 of the scoreboard end zone. The Broncos had come in at 0 and 3, and we were alternating chants of "Smellway", and "0 and 4". The worst thing I ever yelled was "We want Frank", and I wasn't alone. Jimbo, I apologize.
  3. It's in the original link under "You can see a news video on it here."
  4. You have to appreciate the fact that she bought said dress in the very mall she was tossed from.
  5. If it's real messy and contains peanuts, corn, and the like, you may want to beging with your standard toilet paper there Norm, then as things clean up a little you transfer over to the aformentioned pre-moistened TP. The stuff is septic safe but really strong. I rinse the suckers out and hang 'em on the edge of the sink for re-use. Saves money. If everybody in the country would do that, we would have more money fro gas. Crisis solved.
  6. Did anyone else watch the news video clip? You can't understand a word anybody is saying, but when they show the clip of him face down still in the bench, he's groaning in pain, and you can understand very clearly what he is expressing.
  7. Our league is head to head format, and his slow start helped to pin some early losses on me that really hurt. I guess league structure does factor pretty heavily into the discussion.
  8. There are too many variables. You mentioned Brees. He was my QB last year, and I was thrilled to have him after the season he had in 2006. Thrilled, until about 5 games into the season. Injury often blows you out of the water as well.
  9. For me fantasy football is alot like golf. The more I try, and the more I think I'm learning, the worse I get, but you can't bring yourself to just give up and walk away. As a Bills fan I hate to say it, but for offense I hope to ride the Patriots and Cowboys for offense pretty heavy. I'm sure I'll get laughed at, but I'm gonna get Jason Witten pretty early on. Here's his 2007 stats: REC 96 YDS 1,145 AVG 11.9 TDS 7 I think he is poised to improve on that. I'm in a league where you must play a TE. I'm tired of limited production in that spot, because I focus too heavily on WR's. If the WR's go too fast, there are a handful of TE's (I like Witten the best) that put up pretty close to WR numbers. We draft really close to the start of the regular season, so I haven't really started to study it yet.
  10. It has degraded into 5 little game of one-on-one. The arrogance of individual players is out of hand. If aguy scores on you, you take your wounded ego down the court and try to burn him, screw choosing the high percentage shot, game management, team play, and all that crap. The problem I see is that the younsters coming into the game want to emulate the "professionals", and it is only a matter of time before college starts to suck too.
  11. One of the most enjoyable flukes ever I take Brady out of the players you listed. It hurts to say it, but the guy puts up consistent numbers on an almost weekly basis. LT had a slow start last year, and left many people who had him with some early losses to overcome. I have always placed the highest value on RB in the first round. I think I may go QB in the first this year myself. The tough thing with a RB like LT is it never seems to be a slow diminishing of skills. You never know which year is the year you are going to get burnt. Raise your hand if you got Priest Holmes, or even Larry Johnson one year too late. LT put up great numbers in 2007, but it was a signifigant drop in TD's and yardage from 2006. Although Brady will most likely be listed as injured/probable every week all season, I don't look for a drop off in his production.
  12. I don't have a love/hate for either of these guys. I just hope our coaching staff can take an objective look and put the best QB we have on the field without pressure from the owner, front office, etc. JP looked pretty good, but from what I remember of JP, he has had pretty good games before, and then came next Sunday. Trent didn't get that much playing time last night, so it is a bit hard to judge his performance. What there was to judge, not so good. Watching JP on the sidelines, from what they showed on tv, I thought his attitude was great for what he has been through, and he looked like he was still interacting well as part of the team.
  13. I missed the part in the article where they described what he did for ten years while waiting to get the oil into the market. I'll bet it sucked just twiddling his thumbs, but we all know that it will take ten years to get oil into the market.
  14. Int the immortal words of George Costanza, "Was that wrong?"
  15. You can get Jason Taylor for $9.99. That and a set of darts could be fun.
  16. If you look at Moorman's face in that picture, he looks an awful lot like Jauron.
  17. I can't drive up 219 past the place without my heart beating a little faster. Nice pictures of your pilgrimage.
  18. I can't even see these, http://www.wtbtraffic.com/productdetail.asp?ProdID=114 without a shudder, a tear, and the taste of puke in the back of my throat. Those words haunt me.
  19. That's my list, but I rank the Harmon Drop game ahead of the Steeler game, and add the last Superbowl appearance, because you could just tell it was over. Jimbo was getting the crap knocked out of him, and it was just sad. I would say the Dallad game last year, but being at that game was just too much fun.
  20. It think it is actually a complex plan where he is still loyal to the Packers, and is just trying to screw with the Vikes to help Green Bay out. The Packers gave him the cell phone so he could bait Minnesota into losing some draft picks and the like.
  21. I would have put the 50 cents in to try and get her out with the claw.
  22. My boys just got home from summer camp, and told me about the kids playing Yo Momma. Being a good parent I wanted to help them the next time the need would arise. This is the best I could do. Yo Momma is so ugly, when she was a kid in school and threw up, the janitor dumped the little bag of sawdust on her. Yo Momma is so trashy, when she was sunbathing on the beach, the guy came over and poked her with the stick. Yo momma is so stupid they just renamed the "for Dummies" books the for Yo Momma books. My nine year old went on to tell me that he thought the whole concept was inappropriate.
