Tiger has to be kicking himself for going at #17 on Fri and Sat. It cost him at least two, and probably three strokes. Along with the unusual three putt on 18 on Sat, he could've claimed his 11th Major.

I have to agree with Kelly here. Near Chippewa is where you want to be. Either the Hampton on Chippewa or the Hyatt down Main St. There used to be a Radisson on Main and Chippewa which I think might now be a Comfort Suites. If you want to go on the cheap, there is the Buffalo Hostel on Main just 1/2 a block from Chippewa. Additionally, if staying near Chippewa, I'd recommend hitting up Hemmingway's on Pearl St for wings. They're my favorite place in Buffalo for wings. I always stop there for wings after the dozen or so Sabres games I go to a year. Which reminds me, the NHL is back in action. You might luck out and be able to catch a Sabres game that weekend also.

I'm not so sure about that. I (hazily) remember being in the Flats a few years back and having the best damn Gyro in my life. It was from a stand which I think was right across the street from Fado. PS I hear that Fado has closed.

I've never understood this opinion. I'm just thankful the sponsors are there to support the tournaments. So if a sponsor wants to use their exemptions on Wie, or a local favorite, or the brother of the CEO's mistress, who cares?? Let them use their exemptions however they want. That's what they get for ponying up as the sponsor.
