  1. South Park Arrested Development Scrubs The Simpsons Lost (although I'm getting frustrated with this show -- too many questions, more getting added every week, not enough answers/resolutions)
  2. Is there anything like this for the personal photo or user photo? I can't get mine to show up.
  3. I just saw the draft order. Does anyone else think that the policy to allow 6 teams to make the playoffs from each conference is inherently inconsistent with allowing playoff teams to draft higher than non-playoff teams?
  4. That's PartyMike, another alias of mine.
  5. OK - what's "nm"? Nevermind????
  6. Abridged from <this site>: The song was actually Charles Trenet's "La Mer" which was the inspiration for Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea". However the lyrics to "Beyond the Sea" bear little resemblance to the French lyrics of "La Mer". The French lyrics and the best transltion I could find are: La mer Qu'on voit danser le long des golfes clairs A des reflets d'argent La mer Des reflets changeants Sous la pluie The sea which one sees dancing along the clear gulfs to sparkles of silver. The sea Of changing sparkles Under the rain. La mer Au ciel d'été confond Ses blancs moutons Avec les anges si purs La mer bergère d'azur Infinie The sea Confuses the summer sky's sheep With angels so pure. The sea Shepherdess of blue infinity. Voyez Près des étangs Ces grands roseaux mouillés Voyez Ces oiseaux blancs Et ces maisons rouillées Look! Next to the ponds Those tall wet reeds. Look! Those white birds And those rusty houses [cabins of boats?] La mer Les a bercés Le long des golfes clairs Et d'une chanson d'amour La mer A bercé mon coeur pour la vie The Sea Has rocked them [like a baby] Along the clear gulfs. And with a song of love The Sea Has rocked my heart for life. For a great discussion of the French lyrics by Trenet and the English lyrics by Jack Lawrence see: http://www.bobbydarin.com/OceanCrossing.html
  7. I need some acronym help. What's LAMP stand for? How about SUW? Any other acronymns I need to know?
  8. Please describe it for me. As I remember it, that catch should have been fairly routine. Is my memory going fuzzy?
  9. That link isn't working. Yeah, I figure Kate just defaults to the sly "how do you work a gun" mode.
  10. If you book for the week after Labor Day, Sep 11-17, at most you might have to add a day or two. We'll definitely have a home game on the 11th or 18th. Personally, I'd love to make a trip to New Orleans next year.
  11. Car and Driver called the G5 "a wheeled Toaster Oven" ... and referred to the Aztek as looking like "an angry kitchen appliance"
  12. So was that song the French version of Beyond The Sea?
  13. Allen Wilson???? Did you see his article last Friday? I can't think of a better example of eating crow more quickly!
  14. Excellently put. Which made Allen Wilson's article on New Year's Eve Lindell flying under radar so confounding! My favorite quote is "He also hasn't gotten many chances to display his strong leg on long-distance field goal attempts" This guy can barely knock a kickoff 50 yards, how does anyone think he can make a 50+ yard field goal???
  15. Find yourself a sports bar and watch the Rose and Fiesta Bowls!
  16. What you're forgetting is -- Denver wins if Indy "choses" to lose (Indy plays Denver).
  17. Only if the Jets already lost. It would look kinda stupid to tear down the posts if the Jets win and Denver goes on to win later that afternoon.
  18. That's not correct. If Seattle wins, Minn wins, and either New Orleans or Carolina wins (they're playing each other), then StL is out (having lost to both NO and Car). However, what's important is if the Rams win tomorrow, there is no scenario where they would be eliminated before next week. They would still be "fighting for their playoff lives" against the Jets. But, on the other hand, if StL loses tomorrow, they're eliminated. So tomorrow's game is big, big, big!
  19. Or a Universal Power Adapter for the one she currently uses
  20. And the boys of the NYPD Choir were singing Galway Bay And the cowbells were ringing out for Christmas Day
  21. Nobody wants a Genuine TKO Cowbell? Noone can envision a cacophony of cowbell whenever TKO does one of his dances? If you chage your mind, place order through link above by 8PM.
  22. Not that I like to judge, but did you catch her lawyer's name.... Earl Ray
  23. Anyone want a TKO Cowbell? Orders must be in by 4PM tomorrow (12/23)
