I love George Carlin. Big fan. But he sorta misses the point here. It's not about Saving the Planet in the "abstract" sense. It's about leaving a better world for your kids then the one you inherited. If this accomplishes that in any minuscule amount, then I'm all for it.

Thanks gringo for the heads up and Levi for the update. I just got back from China (and caught up on Lost) so I totally would've missed this.

I'm back from China and all caught up on the 5 episodes I missed plus the finale - including taking time to read the Doc Jensen recap corresponding to each episode and this board before moving on to the next episode. Anyhow, the only question that still troubles me is the underwater island. Doc Jensen says it's just a lie. I'm not sure I buy that. Could it be that Hurley's reign ended in failure and that was when he moved on to the Sideways world?

My cousin works at AXA in Amherst. I believe he's honest. I'm savy enough to do my own investing so I don't use him. But both my brother and sister invest with him and seem happy enough. From what I can determine, he doesn't invest them in any front loaded (sales load) mutual funds or back loaded (redemption load) funds. So I guess he's just getting paid a percentage out of the 12b-1 fees which didn't seem that high.

I might be done for 4 weeks. I'm off to China and I don't think you can stream video from abc.com there. Anyhow, as I'm doing laundry for my trip, I'm rewatching The Package. I have a couple of new questions: 1. After Sun knocks herself out while running from the MIB, why does the MIB just leave her to be found by Ben? How come he didn't carry her back to his camp? 2. Does something like Sun's condition really exist? She hasn't lost her voice and can still speak Korean. She can still read/write English and can comprehend the spoken word. She just can't pronounce English anymore. Has anyone heard of anything similar before?
