no, you are not old, you are in the middle ground! I am old, and have a wedding coming up in December, now my friends' kids are getting married, thats when you are old! Went a good 15 years with no weddings..now seems like 2 a year or so. Not a fan! In terms of gifts, when did this idea of paying for your plate start???? Screw that, you invited me, most likely your parents footing the bill...i am not giving you extra money to cover an expense you did not incur. BTW, i was mid 30's when i got married, paid for the wedding ourselves, ay a great spot in DC..paid by the drink. Scariest moment in my life walking up to the bar at the end of the night to get the bill!! Great thing was about 1/3rd of what we budgeted. we got married at 5, my friends and family pre-gamed pretty hard..kept costs down!!!!!!

Funny, i think sometimes most of us get so caught up in not getting in a cab, we lose the forest for the trees. DC cabs are now, for the most part, clean, comfortable, and with decent drivers. And during surge times, they are actually cheaper, sometimes by as much as 60-70%, than Ubers. I have no problems now asking how much to my destination to the cab driver just to make sure before i get in. Again, i use uber/lyft 90% of the time, but if you are in good size city during a surge event, cab is prolly better way to go!

Have a nephew getting chewed up by the US junior system now. Not abuse in any way shape or form, but arsehole lying coaches that need to be adored and praised , money being lit on fire , and promise after promise unkept. Hockey is a whacked youth sport in many ways, the junior system being the worst offender!

Few things... Just finished Peaky Season 5 ..okay, not great, will watch season 6 when it hits. I like history, Netwflix just put out Greatest Events in WW2 in color, and i have learned a few things..like meth amphetamines were very important to the success of the Blitzkrieg strategy..hmm, never knew that. I also enjoy the "Explained" series on Netflix..similar to Adam Ruins Everything" , but i think well done. Watch one last night on Meat..thought it well balanced, interesting etc.

I have never driven, but thought about it when i was bored a while ago(long story), and i enjoy driving and meeting new people. ...my research indicated kinda what @Not at the table Karlos said above..be in the city where people like to take Ubers ..would need to do at rush hours..and on weekend nights when people are partying more. I want to see McDermott this week walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Granted we do not see practice, but based on performance in games I think these folks have “ earned “ a seat or very reduced snap count 1) Lee Smith. Maybe some offensive guru can provide me the reason why the Bills are better when he in the game in 12 personnel, but on the surface I don’t see it. Add in his ridiculous penalty rate and I am just at a loss. Sweeney deserves to play and dress over him. Maybe 85 is instrumental on ST’s or something. 2) Frank Gore.
