  1. The real question is can El Pegs can buy both the Bills AND the publishing rights to all of Bon Jovi's music (which he will then lock into a vault in the new Ralph Wilson Stadium in downtown Buffalo)?
  2. What!? Does this mean we can't hate on him anymore? Or just that he's no longer upset that Nassib "stuck it to them" o_O
  3. Thank you! Holy, I feel like I want to cut and paste this into every thread about the sale to stop the "Mary Wilson is greedy, she should call Pegs and end this!" It doesn't work that way and never will. It's a billion dollar plus transaction, there's going to a lot of DD happening which takes time, this isn't a Craigslist transaction...
  4. Since we've got a 4 page thread on Marrone's presser attitude, but no link to the presser itself, thought I'd add that: http://www.buffalobi...anshare:twitter Did most in this thread even watch this? Personally I thought it was funny - obviously Marrone doesn't want to say anything about anyone (maybe he likes that we're flying under the radar?), but he was smiling and even laughing while on the mic. Hardly him being a jerk...
  5. Doesn't really matter to Marrone, he can't coach both the Bills and the Sabres because they're in the same town. Loved the Woods question - something like "people were surprised he played into the third quarter, why was that?" Marrone: "Because he was supposed to play in the third quarter"
  6. Anyone watch the debut tonight? Good stuff as always - it'll be interesting to see how their focus on toughness serves them... I would love the see the behind the scenes with the Bills!
  7. Pretty thorough article in the Toronto Sun: http://www.torontosun.com/2014/08/05/toronto-group-bidding-on-bills-allowed-to-submit-higher-first-bid Of note: "Bon Jovi would be principal owner. Constituted in that manner, sources have told QMI Agency the group cannot come close to matching even the reported initial bid of $1.3 billion submitted last week by Pegula, the cash-flush oil-and-gas multi-billionaire who already owns the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. Two QMI Agency sources said Pegula indeed bid about $1.3 billion." And "While some reports last week said the Bon Jovi/Toronto group had bid $1.2 billion, the amount was considerably less, perhaps under $900 million. Their ultimate bid limit is believed to be somewhere approaching $1.2 billion."
  8. And the terse Marrone presser: http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Doug-Marrone-Tuesday-Press-Conference/75c90066-de9f-4972-9fba-21bcde001074?campaign=buf:fanshare:twitter Maybe it was just me, but I thought it was funny!
  9. There were at least a few. Definitely some scrambles and sacks in there too though... Hopefully that's just a TC thing, that can't happen during the season - I mean, they HAVE to know. Maybe a test for the O? Kelso said EJ still on the field throwing, Sammy out working after a long practice. Nice to hear...
  10. Kirby believes the eventually owner will keep the team here, not that it will be Bon Jovi. As for the second question, have you even read this thread? The links on this page?
  11. Listening to Murph, he also scored about 5 TDs...
  12. Go read the 55 page thread on the same subject and you'll find KJ's background... Now, does anyone know if the bidder also has to bid on the Sabres because they're in the same town? Or something.
  13. And the problem with Twitter, Sal's tweets lead to this from some rando: @Number1Bills: @salmaiorana I think there's a hidden rift developing in the #Bills front office that no one is talking about yet. It's just a feeling That'll probably get retweeted, then tomorrow we'll have to see a thread on it. A hidden rift, there you have it Bills fans...
  14. FWIW, Murph and Kelso are live at camp - Kelso said he watched the tape and is going to talk about some strong performances from the HOF game.
  15. But, but, but, doesn't someone have to *catch* the ball? I mean that shot to Williams in the EZ was RIGHT where it had to be - hard to fault EJ on that one. Heck its hard to fault Williams, the defender grabbed his arm, it didn't get called, we didn't score a TD in a pre-season game. Such is life. Doesn't mean EJ wasn't in command of the offense.
  16. My bad, you said he's not a good NFL QB and you can trace it back to his HS days, which is implying that he's never been considered good. Regardless, I know you're smarter than FSU and the Bills FO when it comes to player assessment...
  17. I was thinking the same thing - these guys... And yeah, he was terrible in HS: http://www.si.com/college-football/2010/01/01/rivals-recruiting
  18. Remember when everyone was all like "Schwartz sucks and our sack total is going way down"? Yeah.
  19. Not to mention that in those past 13 years, even if our 1s looked semi-OK, our 2s and 3s would often get outplayed by the other teams 2s and 3s (lack of depth). I didn't see that so much last night...
  20. He's got big, soft hands and 15' legs - SUPERBOWL!
  21. Imagine if EJ had taken a sack / strip / fumble - we'd have to hide him from the pitchfork crowd in a safe house with Norwood...
  22. The start of the 23rd page of this thread made a LOT more sense after reading the end of page 22...
  23. We started a vesion of this last year: http://www.landairsea.com/gps-tracking-news/gps-trackers-used-to-evaluate-football-players People that don't believe in analytics don't understand the world we're living in today...
  24. With Andre's fist to his face
  25. That story would straight LEGENDARY - Kurt Warner'esque, with the cherry that he helped get the Bills over that hump. Here's to hoping...
