  1. Please please please give us Anwar Phillips, the Penn State CB. I think he'll be a great player in this league in 1-2 years.
  2. Oh, I will not forget, I will call out the nay sayers, one by one... Actually, the mob mentality on draft day was pretty hilarious. The more the so call experts bashed the Bills the more the so called fans were coming out of the wordwork preaching gloom and doom. Kind of funny how things calmed down once the critics started backing off.
  3. Judging the players that we got, not neccesarily hwen we got them, I give us a B. We have greatly improved our D in my opinion and is a good start. B+ or higher would have required a better OL pick but all in all I'm pretty happy.
  4. I'll add Anwar Phillips, the Penn State CB. I thought he would get drafted. http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2006/phillips_anwar
  5. Matt Bernstein is out there but I'm not sure about him. I like Sir Henry Anderson - and for more than just his name. A good sized decent DT from Oregon State. http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2006/anderson_sir-henry
  6. I agree. I hope there is a decent OT waiting for us in the 3rd. So far we drafted 2 positions of need.
  7. Safeties may be a dime a dozen but good safties are not. Who would you rather we play Coy Wire? Many of the best defenses in the league are built around solid safties i.e. the Steelers. I agree that we need a good DT but there are good ones who will be available such as John McCargo.
  8. I agree and I believe a good OT will be there for us in round 2.
  9. In a year or two (or next year for that matter) if he is a productive player on defense and ST, it will not matter one bit when he was selected. We just so happened to have the #8 pick and this is the guy we wanted.
  10. Denver gave St Louis a 3rd not a 2nd plus there was no guarantee that Whitner would have been there if we traded down. Detroit may well have taken him with the next pick.
  11. a good one. Not sure why all of the negativity. I was shocked at first as well but the more I read the more I like. I think he will be a great player, my original doubt was because I was hoping we would trade down. Marv and company probably figured their guy would be taken if we traded down so they took him. Now I hope we go OT or DT in round 2 and OT or DT in round 3. I am happy we got a good Safety, which we needed, now let's move on.
  12. WOW, no wonder he sounded so confident. This one really suprised me!
  13. I also heard Mario Williams interviewed on an Atlanta radio station saying he was extremely confident that the Texans were going to take him with the #1 pick. I think the teams feed these guys a bunch of bs and make them believe they will pick them.
  14. How exactly are "we" as football fans, to blame for the Buffalo economy. To date, Bills fans have continued to shell out the asking price for tickets to games. We have also remained in the top 10 in the league when it comes to buying team merchandise. Are we supposed to slip the ticket takers " a little something extra" the next time we go to a game?
  15. present and accounted for. I am working all day.
  16. 44.) I'm an agnostic, dislexic, insomniac; I lie awake at night wondering if there is a Dog.
  17. 48.) A rope goes to a bar and the bouncer stops him at the door and says sorry, we don't allow ropes in here. The rope is all upset so he walks around the corner, ties himself in a knot and pulls on his ends until they are all frayed and sticking out. He walks back to the bar and the bouncer stops him again and says, I said we do not allow ropes in here... The rope looks at the bouncer and says: I'm a frayed knot.
  18. You'd have to make room for Seal...
  19. I just recently purchased a new construction home and used the agent fee as a negotiating tool. I went into it without an agent and when they did not meet my initial price demands I said ok but I guess I'll go out and get an agent now to help me through-out the construction process. They kicked and screamed and said it was too late and I could not bring an agent into the deal after I made an initial offer. (they did not want to have to pay her commission) I said they could not deny me the right to an agent and they ultimately came back with a reduced price to keep me from getting an agent. My argument was that now I would have to do all the work and they would save money so it was only fair that they reduce my cost as well. So, this could be a good negotiator with the builder but you will have to suck it up and fire your agent/friend. Ultimately you have to look out for yourself...
  20. LOL Good stuff, thanks for the laugh.
  21. No kidding. The off season is not over yet. We will not know how we did until after the draft and the end of free agency. We have to look at the whole picture because these 2 things go hand in hand.
