  1. Since we are banning QB's by name, I say we add Billy Joe to the list. No good comes from a QB named Billy Joe.
  2. I'd be surprised if Scott or Wright were available in round 2. If they were, I'd say take them in a heart beat. BTW Ngata won't be there at 17 either IMO.
  3. There is just way too much talent available in the first round for us to trade up and sacrifice what could also be a productive number 2 pick. If anything, I think we could trade down a bit, still get a very productive lineman, such as Eric Winston OT from Miami, and then get an extra second or third rounder as well. This is a very deep draft for some reason, so I believe more picks is better than higher up picks.
  4. Damn, I was googling like mad and I counldn't find it. Good job.
  5. Yup, 5th pick of the 3rd round. (69th overall) Our pick would have been 15th (79th) but we traded it to Green Bay. 3 TE's were chosen before him, Dallas Clark, Bennie Joppru (I don't even know who that is) and LJ Smith.
  6. Wow. Flashback. I remember the song but I don't remember any more of the lyrics. Time to go searching...
  7. No doubt. People keep calling him lazy because they saw him in one game and they seem to feel that game was enough to make a decision on his ability. I watched him play in several games and he is an absolute game changer. He would free up our LB's to make plays and would be seeing constant double and triple teams. I have made him my avatar because I believe we will draft him and that would be great news for our Defense.
  8. The best thing Cottrell does is lure free agents that he used to coach to come and play for his new team. Such as Antoine Winfield, Pat Williams,Sam Cowart. Damn, come to think of it that bastard keeps stealing our guys.
  9. He sure called a hell of a gadget play yesterday when Randel El took a direct snap, ran across the field and threw it back to Rothlisburger who launched the ball down field for a TD. The entire defense bought it and were completely out of position. I loved it.
  10. Thanks for changing the link, I thought I was going crazy.
  11. Agreed. The team needs to either get behind him or get rid of him. I believe that players and coaches who are considering coming to this team will be concerned about joining a lame duck coach. Players will be forced to learn a new system if he doesn't last and coaches will fear for their jobs or at least more changes. At this point Wilson and Levy need to support him 100% or let him go.
  12. Wow, that's a lot to read. Does it really say in there somewhere that Gray is gone?
  13. He probably thought it was just someone with the same name and he thought he was being funny. If it was my kid I'd be having words with that teacher and they would probably not be very pleasant.
  14. Slothrop quote: "If you love wealth better than liberty ... crouch down and lick the hands which feed you." - Samuel Adams Why is our Defensive Tackle talking about licking hands?
  15. He said that he talked to Mularkey about how it is impossible not to take fans criticism personally, especially when it affects your family. He said that his 11 year old son came home from school recently and was upset. He said "Dad for some reason everyone in school hates you now." As far as Mularkey goes, he said that Mularkey told him that he has a child in elementary school in Buffalo. I guess about a week ago they had a substitute teacher in class who was taking role call and when he got to Mularkey, he said "as in the soon to be ex-coach of the Bills?" I don't know if the teacher knew that this was actually Mularkey's kid or not but Mularkey was pretty upset by this...can't say I blame him.
  16. I agree. And as you can see by my signature, I'm excited about Ngata and I believe he can be the difference maker on this Defense. I also believe we would take Ferguson over Ngate if he were available and I would be happy with that pick as well.
  17. This Led Zeppelin DVD is awesome! I highly recommend it and I'm not even an avid Zep fan. It was just fun to watch/listen to. http://www.rockgreats.com/catalog.ez?ShowP...=9701-DVD&AID=2
  18. Oh God, please, no one else from Pittsburgh for awhile. Now Norv Turner as OC, that sounds interesting. How's about Haslett as DC?
  19. His play calling and getting outcoached on a weekly basisi is just part of the problem.. My issue with MM is the way he seems to handle his players. He has clashed with many of the teams veterans and has used the media to publicly criticize players. Then he cops an attitude with the media when they call him out on certain issues like play calling, personnel decisions etc... He is just not the kind of coach I want representing the team I root for.
  20. that was amazing. If he comes out, I can't see the Texans passing on him.
  21. I hope he is more involved... I truly believe he wants to win one before he "moves on".
