  1. The thing is, if a coach says nothing, fans and members of the media B word, saying they are not sharing information and it is our right to know. But if they do communicate honestly "we" say these things should be done behind closed doors. It's a no win situation.
  2. But hopefully it works. Just because McGahee is a great player does not mean he should be able to do what he wants without any input from his coach. Mularkey is tasked with motivating his players as he sees fit and making sure his plans are executed on Sundays. He apparently feels that Willis was not executing his plan and that a public call out is the way to motivate him. Maybe he's right. Apparently he is executing in practice, so why don't we wait until Sunday to pass judgement on Mularkey. As a Manager, you have to motivate different people in different ways. I for one am hoping this works.
  3. This seems to be a lifetime acheivement award not a "how they rank this year" list. If that is the case he is not that far off. Today, it is hard to argue Moss and Owens not being 1 and 2.
  4. Hey The Real, I always make sure to read all of your threads because of your avatar. That being said, I think one win makes all of this go away and we're back to a Buffalo love fest. I do agree however, that there is too much talking going on right now and another bad game will make it worse. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that by Sunday night, all is forgiven.
  5. Wow that was a pretty good list. He ranked them different than most would and made a good case for each one.
  6. 28-17 Buffalo. Finally some touchdowns for McGahee, Moulds and Evans!! Let's go Buffalo!
  7. and running out of the endzone is a safety. Doh. We'll take cheapo sacks if it means Vick is contained.
  8. Not sure if that is this year or for his career. I think we will get a lot of pressure on him if he plays and if London Fletcher is in the game and healthy. I believe we need his speed to help contain Vick. Doesn't seem like we're getting too much respect down here.
  9. Like I said, I meant no offense by my question. I wondered if he was a contributing member of the team or someone they put in so that he can say he played. If he is intead a weekly player, that just adds to how impressed I am by this story.
  10. Do it! So, did you make the trade?
  11. Without Fletcher I'm affraid it is Vick who will have a field day if he is healthy. Might be wishful thinking but I'm thinking that we will be able to shut down Atlanta's run and force them to try and beat us in the air.
  12. I hate playing anyone who is going against the Bills because I refuse to cheer for them, so I would play Dillon and Brown. If playing a Buffalo opponent doesn't bother you, I would start Dunn and Dillon. Don't be fooled by last week, this defense can and will shut down the run.
  13. Is he actually a good player? Is here in there as a side show or can he really play? I don't mean any offense with this question, just curious.
  14. Here here. I had a conversation with some fans at the Tampa game who were from various parts of Florida and the Southeast. Bills fans seldom change allegences when they leave Buffalo. We continue to cheer for the Bills, even if the new "home" team has a better team or season than us. True Bills fans are fans for life, even when the going gets tough. Go Bills
  15. Man, I hope Fletcher is ready to go this week. We need him against Vick. His speed is a big key.
  16. damn, I missed it. I could use some comic relief today...
  17. I heard on the radio this morning that it was an ankle injury and didn't seem to be major.
  18. I agree they were not too loud but that may have been the heat. The tailgate was definitely the "wine and cheese" crowd, not the burgers and beer crowd that we have in Buffalo. When I walked around the parking lots, the Bills fans were generally rowdier and more fun to hang around than the Bucs fans.
  19. I flew down from Atlanta, paid $250 for my ticket, spent way too much money while in Tampa but had fun all-in-all. $60 would have been a bargain.
  20. I know that is stating the obvious but damn the heat was oppressive. My buddy, who lives in Tampa, had to go sit in the air conditioned bar most of the second half. I've been to hot games in Miami and Jacksonville and this was by far the worst. The Tampa fans were pretty cool, they didn't abuse me too badly after the game even though I cheered loudly for the Bills until the bitter end. All in all, not a good day.
  21. We'll make some noise! At the appropriate times of course.
  22. That's funny. I lived on Norwalk in college and that is my top 3 as well.
  23. Looks like he might have ended his career with an ejection. Bummer. Very Tasker like but at least Tasker got in the game.
