  1. Actually, it is because he was a Bill and I saw him at his best , that I am willing to accept him. I would be very nervous if I only had his Atlanta and Dallas stints to go on. I believe that Peerless can and will be a solid #2 for this team. Also, I believe that in part, Moulds receiving average was so low because he was Holcomb's favorite target and therefore was the recipient of many 5-10 yard passes. Unfortunately, this, combined with his decreasing ability to break tackles, kept his YPC down. Others, like Evans, benefitted from JP's downfield passes, hopefully we will see a lot more of those this year.
  2. I just decided to drive up for this game. Does anyone know the best way to get tickets?
  3. Referencing this old article which aparently some people have forgotten. BILLS: Buffalo quarterback J.P. Losman will never forget the first time he met his boyhood idol, Brett Favre. It was the summer before Losman's senior season at Tulane when a mutual friend set up a golf outing involving them. Pulling up to Favre's home in Mississippi, Losman recalled meeting a shirtless Favre, who was covered in dirt after a morning out on his farm. Things will be much different when the two meet in Green Bay on Friday for a scrimmage, Losman's debut in a competitive setting since being chosen the Bills' starter last February. It's a chance for the second-year pro to start showing how ready he'll be for the season, performing before a packed house at Lambeau Field and with Favre watching from the sideline. "This is huge for me," Losman said. "I'm a big, big fan, just the way he handles himself." And yet, Losman has one concern: "Hopefully, he'll remember me when I see him."
  4. Have you ever seen Brett Favre in tight shorts and a red hat? If so, what was your reaction.
  5. I don't see how you can say this if you ever watched him play or practice. He can't get the ball down field. KH drove me crazy last year because he had to constantly dump the ball off and ignored Evans wide open downfield. This is why Moulds liked him so much because he was Holcomb's outlet. Out fast wide receiver corps will be wasted with Holcomb under center. Losman still has to mature and prove that he can be a leader and pocket passer but we need to give him that chance. I agree that Holcomb acts more like a leader but he will never be more than a good backup.
  6. Interesting use of past tense in this article. Maybe Marv is right, time is running out. "Whitner and Allen, both safeties, were expected to compete for starting jobs with their new teams." http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9585955
  7. I may head up from Atlanta. I am hoping to see a strong pressure from our DL, a great secondary and hopefully a composed JP Losman.
  8. From what I hear it is wine and cheese and don't get to rowdy or someone will complain. They fancy themselves to be a cultured group. Silly rednecks.
  9. Glad to see that your long posts are back. I agree that there seems to be a lot of competition this year and that no one is being handed a job. I believe Evans will be a great #1 and I hope we have enough depth at the position to keep teams from shutting him down. It would be a shame to have this fast receiving group spreading the field and a quarterback who is not able to throw a completion past 20 yards. That is why I am hoping JP wins the job, he seemed to have a good raport with Evans.
  10. Damn you. Good thing your avatar is so hot it was able to quickly get that image out of my mind.
  11. No way that Whitner could get drafted higher than he did this year. Most people felt #8 was a stretch. If he sat out a year he'd be lucky to go in the top 20 in next years draft. He'll sign early next week.
  12. Not a chance. I agree with you. 8-8 at worst. We will be in the middle of the pack. Last year everyone was on our bandwagon before the season and this year we are the vogue last place pick. The truth is in between and the key will be improved D line play.
  13. He sure did. I remember him in press conferences saying he would sign before camp. So much for that...
  14. This is great news. I honestly thought he was going to play out the year and then go to the highest bidder. I am very happy that this got done prior to camp. Way to go Marv!
  15. I voted other: any reference to Mike Williams and Tampa.
  16. I abstain. This poll is rigged... I say Moulds and Andre Reed.
  17. I say it is Doug Flutie's little pooch kick thing.
