  1. I always liked him and hope that he does well and makes the roster.
  2. or Kennard his cousin's speed.
  3. I for one have appreciated your humor in this post. Does that make me a genius?
  4. I think this board is underestimating Ellis, Bowen and Corner. I am excited about the potential in this group which is all you can ask for in those rounds. And X-man will be the FB of the future.
  5. By the way, one of the guys with Mayock (Charles?) talked about being at the game when Akron took on Ohio Sate and he was absolutely impressed with corner and believes he will be a solid player in the league. I love getting real analysis instead of a couple of lame jokes about his name on ESPN.
  6. Wingo also called Bowen an offensive lineman, he had obviously never even heard of him before. On the other hand NFLN guys praised it as a great value pick. ESPN draft analysis gets a C- at this point in the draft, I don't care what they say.
  7. He said Bowen will become a good starter in a couple of years but contributr to special teams immediately. Also stated that Corner was a good value and he liked the pick. NFLN is not anti-Buffalo like ESPN and are speaking highly of our draft thus far.
  8. I keep flipping between NFLN and ESPN so I don't remember which one I was one but when we were about to make our second pick, they flashed to Chad Henne sitting on his couch, I screamed NOOO!!!. That was scary.
  9. We will get plenty of use out of him in the return game while he develops.
  10. Did you say you dated him in high school?
  11. I have to agree. You can never have enough talented Lb's.
  12. and Charlie Cassery picked McKelvin as his defensive rookie of the year candidate. He said he will become a very good corner but in the meantime will make an immediate impact in the return game ala Devin Hester. That was his choice over Chris Young, Dorsey, etc... Good stuff.
  13. Now that was funny. How much money do you have in the bank?
  14. They seem to be phasing him out this year and grooming Todd Mcshay. I think Mike Mayock on NFLN is better than both of them. He guessed both Bills picks before we made them and praised them both. That is not why I think he is better but I do respect his opinion more.
  15. I hear they are close to working out a deal for Chris Henry.
  16. Is Jordy Nelson really expected to drop to round 5? If so, I like that pick as well. Of course, my real prayer is that Vernon Gholston drops to us in round 1.
  17. Actually, I was wrong, this USA Today article is the one I was thinking of. It was in the list you provided, thanks. This one is a pretty good read, it explains how Turner moved into the starting role. http://www.turnertheburner.com/html/news/meet_turner.html
  18. I remember that Sports Illustrated did a big write-up on him while he was in college. I think they might have coined the phrase Burner Turner. They talked about how he was originally a back-up to a guy that was supposed to be a super star but the guy got injured and Turner stepped in and never looked back. He seemed like a good kid at the time. I wish I could find that issue, I'd like to re-read it.
  19. At least you have the coolest series of avatar's ever made...
  20. I'm guessing we get a 5th. The good news is, all of these people who keep doing mock drafts and choosing a player in round 5, will finally be vindicated.
  21. Mulligans BrickBar flashback... Case of splits filled with ice, those were the days.
  22. with a bunch of interview's from the other top QB's of that era. Marino, Elway, Aikman, Young etc... They were all talking about how gritty and tough Kelly was, it was very cool. The quote that I liked was Polian who said Kelly was such a competitor that he never really lost any football games, he just ran out of time in some of them. He said it was a discription used to describe one of the old time QB's but that it was accurate for Kelly as well. I agree.
