  1. Bills, I'm a way bigger football fan than hockey. I enjoy the Sabres games but I LOVE football.
  2. So you are angling for the all Louisianna College QB team eh?
  3. That's how I see it too. It's kind of like, "if I'd of had another week or two to evaluate Nall you might not be the starter, so, good luck and go get 'em."
  4. I say yes. Someone made a comment earlier that if we wait until next week to make the call it looks as though he won the position by default. Yes, he may be motivated by competition but he may also be motivated by winning the competition. Says the Bills are JP's team, let the veterans rally around him and get ready for week 1.
  5. At least this makes me happy: Losman had the best pass of the day a 50-yard bomb to Evans right on his fingertips in stride for a touchdown to beat Clements and Vincent over the top. It wasn't that Clements didn't have good coverage, it's just that the ball was put in a perfect spot.
  6. I agree completely. The formation penalty took away a great rushing touchdown by JP. We need to work together as a team and get some disipline very quickly or this will be a long season. The good news is hopefully these are just growing pains in a new system and they will decrease over the next couple of games.
  7. I wish Jauron would just step up and make this official. JP has proven himself to be the starter and the best thing for this team is for Jauron to show his confidence and move forward. "We're going to leave it as it is," said Jauron. "J.P. is clearly the frontrunner and played pretty well the other night. We made a number of errors the other night as a team and as individuals and as coaches and we all have to improve. I think he's improved every week and every day in practice. We'll leave it like it is and if anything changes we'll let you know." http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=4070
  8. Not a bad list, fyi you have Powell getting cut and making the team. For some reason I still see Burns making the team, not sure who he'd replace.
  9. So with all of these merges, RJOSEPH has still only started one thread. Might me the first one topic wonder we've had in a long time.
  10. So the consiracy theorists may say that we intentionally under-utilized him in the preseason because we knew he needed some work and want him on the practice squad but didn't want other teams to see his potential. I like it. Marv is a genius.
  11. He seemed to have a decent camp from what I've seen but I was hoping for some input from people who have been to camp and seen him play.
  12. Actually, it was Anderson starting and he appeared to play a pretty decent game.
  13. I don't fully disagree with him. We have plenty of talent in our secondary, unfortunately many of them are still unproven. Tasker did seem a bit like a homer in the first half but at times I actually think he is overly critical of the Bills, as though he is over-compensating to avoid criticism. Back to the secondary, if Whitner, Simpson and Youboty play to similar levels as they did in college, they, along side Clements, McGee, Baker and Vincent are a very talented group.
  14. I don't think saying that he earned the #2 QB position is the same as writing him off. I just believe that JP has shown enough to earn the starting QB role. Nall has shown talent and will hopefully be a solid backup, but even based on preseason it is hard not to say JP looks better.
  15. Teams usually like to bring their starters out in the 3rd quarter in the 3rd preseason game so that they can see how they handle getting back in the groove after the break.
  16. The schedule on nflnetwork.com shows our game playing an Tuesday at 4pm but the guide on my TV shows our game playing tomorrow at 6am. I just set it to record, I hope it's really on. http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/preseason_2006
  17. No offense, but whenever I read a post like this and then check the number of total posts for the author, the total is usually less than 20, I'm not sure why that is. I would be suprised if any of these 3 got cut this year, especially Vilareal who is tight with Jauron. Now as far far as next season goes, all 3 could be on other teams by then.
  18. We will be enjoying Losman to Evans quite a bit this season as far as I can see. They definitely have a chemistry together and Evans has the speed to come to a near stop and then fly past the defender like he did in this game. A thing of beauty.
  19. I agree as far as the first quarter goes. I thought we looked very good except for a couple of misses by JP and the fumble by Willis. There was a hold call by the Bengals at the end of the first that should have been a safety but they innacurately(IMO) claimed it did not happen in the endzone. So far, Ryan Denney looks really good as do several of our Defensive players and Ko Simpson had a great ST tackle. Ok, now going to watch the 2nd quarter.
