  1. I now know why it is never mentioned. Never speak of it again...
  2. Does Dr Phil have him talk in the girl voice? I'm still not buying that it was him on the phone.
  3. Thanks, now I get it. Damn that Bill Belicheck!
  4. Patriots from the CFL Argos signed him? Were they American Patriots or Canadien Patriots?
  5. I second the vote for Col. Jessup in a Few Good Men. One of the best speeches ever.
  6. Farragut could see the ships pulling back from his high perch, where he was lashed to the rigging of his flagship, the USS Hartford. "What's the trouble?", he shouted through a trumpet from the flagship to the USS Brooklyn. "Torpedoes!" was shouted back. "Damn the torpedoes!" said Farragut, "Four bells. Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!"[19][20] The bulk of the fleet succeeded in entering the bay. Farragut triumphed over the opposition of heavy batteries in Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines to defeat the squadron of Admiral Franklin Buchanan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Farragut
  7. Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Reed, Carter, Tim Brown and Isaac Bruce were a few that he mentioned. He was saying football people feel differently about Moss than the media does. Says a true HOF receiver should block down field, never take plays off, be a good teammate, be willing to make a catch in the middle, etc. All traits that he said Moss did not exemplify.
  8. Moss said in an interview today that he was the best receiver of all time. He apparently never heard of another 49ers WR who wore #80 and really was the best ever. Polian was on his NFL radio show today and was not happy with this statement. He named at least 10 other receivers that he said he would rather have had over Moss and sited numerous reasons for not believing Moss should even be in the HOF. (although he conceded that he will most likely get in on the first ballot) Polian then started campaigning for Andre Reed to be in the Hall and said it was rediculous that he was not in yet. He was very complimentary of Reed as a player and was clearly very passionate on this topic.
  9. That would be a great compromise, but I assume it would mean we would have to split the $$ which is why it won't happen.
  10. He did have one dump off pass that he almost broke for a TD.
  11. So if Nassib drops to us in the 3rd, which may not happen after senior bowl, do we double down on QB's?
  12. Lol. She opened them up to even more scrutiny that is sure to follow. Let those of you without sin cast the first stone... (or something like that)
  13. Might not help you much with the ladies either.
  14. NFL newbie grading on the "I've heard of him" scale. If we hired John Madden, we would get an A+.
  15. I can't believe you or anyone else would defend Brady on this either. He could have hurt his ankle? Yes, as much as someone punching another guy in the face risks hurting his knuckles I guess. That is assinine. He intentionally kicked Reed on his planted knee, luckily for Reed his foot did not get stck on the turf or he could have been seriously injured. Brady's intention was just as clear as N Suh when he kicked Rogers and he should be punished accordingly. If you are sliding to "avoid contact" which is the intent of the rule, you would "get small" , not kick your leg as high as possible while someone is jumping over you.
  16. wow, that kick was no different than what Suh did on Thanksgiving and he got destroyed in the media for days. Suh was just trying to apply a kick to the groin, this was a blatant shot at a planted knee. I hope he dousn't get away with this without media scrutiny.
  17. This surprised me as well. Early on he seemed like he would be a great one, but he will not have nearly as much value now as he would next year if he could have a successful season. Maybe he is affraid that his body won't hold up.
  18. LOL. I just noticed that when I was re-reading the article. Sorry about the redundancy. I was reading articles about him because I saw a mock draft today that had us taking him with the #8 pick so I wanted to learn more. old article notwithstanding, I am still intrigued by what I have read and heard about him.
  19. The more I am reading about Glennon, the more I am starting to hope that he will be our pick. I know some people have been down on him due to his bowl performance, but I am starting to think he may be the right pick at #8. http://www.nfl.com/n...mb-draft-boards "I know that statement will take many by surprise, considering the endless hype and speculation surrounding West Virginia's Geno Smith and USC's Matt Barkley, but there is a growing sentiment in the NFL scouting community that the N.C. State star could be the crown jewel of this year's quarterback class. I had heard about Glennon's ascension up draft boards across the league over the past few weeks, but it wasn't until I made a trip to North Carolina to study him in person on Saturday that I could see what all the commotion was about. Glennon's masterful performance in a 43-35 loss to North Carolina made the visit well worth the trouble."
  20. We saw what hiring a QB mechanics guru can do for an NFL QB. David Lee was a QB at Vanderbuilt and went on to be a QB coach at the collegiate and Pro level. With all of that experience, he managed to help make Fitz even worse than he was the year before. I will take my chances with coach Hackett, he can't be any worse than the last guy.
  21. Won't help their argument much if they try to trade away the pick...
  22. The argument of Flacco as a "mid-level" free agent is wrong. With his play-off record, he is in the top tier of current NFL QB's and better than any incoming rookie as of right now. That being said, I would love to get him if we could.
