  1. At least he will have someone driving him...
  2. or GM if he can get more people to play for $2,000. Maybe our new football guru?
  3. That is how I look at it too. Snoop was going to give his kid the money anyway, might as well use it to reward behavior you are trying to encourage. A friend of mine has recently offered his 11 year old son, who needs to drop some weight, $5 per pound lost, or $500 to lose 20 pounds. Shouldn't have to bribe our kids to do the right thing, but I can see why people do it.
  4. As many here know, Snoop Dogg's son Cordell Broadus is a pretty good WR. Apparently he did not want to play football when he was 6 years old so Snoop gave him $2K to play. I know several parents who give cash incentives to their kids for achievements in sports like TD's or Home Runs. What do you think of this practice? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2320843-snoop-dogg-paid-his-son-how-much-to-play-football
  5. Not negated, offset. So if we would have fired him and owed him 4 mil per year and another team paid him 3 mil per year, the Bills would be on the hook for 1 mil per year. I believe the 4 mil for next year only applied if he executed the out clause and would not have been applicable if fired. If he had remained unemployed, the Bills would have been on the hook for the total contract remaining.
  6. That's what I was thinking. Yes, as long as she is not the one on the right.
  7. this. That's my point, the premise of this post, that Whaley can't evaluate QB's is a very weak foundation.
  8. Agreed, I don't believe it was his call, that's why I didn't mention it.
  9. I don't think it is fair to assume that Whaley can't evaluate QB talent. Where did he miss? By not taking Geno Smith over EJ? It is not like there has been a plethora of QB talent pouring into the league that he has missed on. There are not many elite QB's in the league, let alone ones that Whaley had a chance to get. I think he made a good effort to add serviceable veterans to the team in Kolb and Orton and the jury is still out on EJ. Just because we have not had the good fortune to add an Andrew Luck to the roster doesn't mean that Whaley doesn't recognize the talent when he sees it.
  10. Cutler is definitely more likely, but I agree. The thought of him does not help me relax. I understand the panic.
  11. I am assuming this is a joke. That train already wrecked once.
  12. I always liked the Study Hard poster and Farah Fawcett when I was younger. Are they on this board? The artist formerly known as Crayonz. (You know who you are) Oh, and I vote for Deep Voice.
  13. I could go for this too. I do believe that Nate has a bright future in the league and will continue to get better as an OC. I for one would like to see how he does outside of Marrone's shadow.
  14. Jimmie Johnson lives in Key West. Football czar? No kidding, I need me one of them jets.
  15. Any chance Marrone made the recommendation? Trying to get talent out of Buffalo to be spiteful?
  16. I agree with this unfortunately. I would be very surprised if Marrone is not coaching the Jets next season.
  17. That would be great! Another clown show to follow Rex Ryan's circus act.
  18. I kind of agree as far as being a big fish in a small pond and therefore getting more local attention. However, if you get ripped in a Buffalo newspaper, odds are only the people in Buffalo notice. If you get ripped in a NY newspaper, you make national headlines and end up on ESPN. There may be more distractions, but once you are bad enough to rise to the top, ala the Sanchez era Jets, it becomes a major national story. Not the case with Buffalo area coverage in my opinion.
  19. THAT is freaking hilarious. Lots of great pictures, but this made me laugh the hardest when you pointed it out.
  20. So playing devils advocate, is it possible that Marroene's limiting of Hackett's play calling, was the bigger problem than Hackett's ability?
  21. I can't imagine he would have opted out unless he was certain the Jets were going to hire him, but wouldn't it be karma if they passes and then no one else showed interest? I would love to see Marrone left on the outside looking in after the way he left this team.
  22. Damn dude, that is one hell of an intuition.
  23. LOL, it takes a big sack to hang around this place.
  24. You have 1?! Way to go.
  25. i always remember back to when we got him from Indy and they got our guy I don't even remember anymore. (Sheppard?) Both fan bases were excited to get the guy with a higher ceiling than the one they had. It is so cool when something like that works in our favor for a change.
