  1. A few typos as Brandt clearly copied and pasted from one guy to the next. Sayers played for the Bears for 6 more years than he actually did, and Barry made 50 pro bowls As for QB's, I'd argue that Steve Young and Otto Graham belong on that list. I'd go as far as ranking Young ahead of Moon, Aikman, and Farve
  2. Okay, so in this the thread, the OP proves to be a dope as he wants the Bills to pass more. This is just idiotic as the offense controlled the clock and had one of the best ground attacks that put points on the board, which kept the inept defense off the field. Let's use our heads here before we start a thread about Taylor being not good because they don't pass a lot, and understand that a balanced attack is often a great thing.
  3. I think of Gronk as a douchy meathead. As far as NFL'ers go, there are worse types than that. I hate Tom and Bill much more.
  4. covfefe- the resulting word when Donald Trump's hands are too small to use a smartphone keyboard I just spit out my evening rum reading this
  5. I say this every time, the European soccer teams do not make the public pay for stadia like we do. It considered the responsibility of the team to build their own palace. Many times the teams expand on existing grounds stand by stand instead of building a brand new stadium. Our government is so damn stupid to not figure this out.
  6. As much as I don't agree with Elite Poster's points, Tucker did tweet that. He may have deleted it since, but it was up on his account.
  7. and the NFL is banning these videos... !@#$ing hell. The NFL is living up to its No Fun League moniker
  8. That is just it. It is not wise to get rid of a productive player if you can't replace him.
  9. I wouldn't put Harvin in with the rest of these guys as he was hardly healthy, and effectively useless as the Bills discovered. That said, you don't get rid off weapons for nothing, unless you are replacing it with something capable, or are in cap purgatory. collins was traded because he was asking for more $ and the pats could absorb his loss, and the same applies with jones. Marshall has to be a locker room cancer considering how many teams have dumped him. The Seahawks traded a first and a pro bowl center to the Saints for Graham. That is a great deal for NO, as they had a lot of weapons for Brees. Forte, I'll agree with you on. cooks is a deal where the Saints have two capable receivers in Thomas and Snead, and are getting a 1st rounder back in the process Boldin was let go because they couldn't afford him and Fitz. That is a no-brainer that you keep Fitz. Smith tested free agency instead of taking what the Ravens offered. In almost every case above these teams had capable replacements already on the squad. I like Gillislee, but I don't rate him as highly as Shady, and would question if his stats are more of a byproduct of Shady and Tyrod.
  10. Using GM chip Kelly as an example is proof that you shouldn't get rid of weapons before 30.
  11. https://www.instagram.com/p/BQ-vlHvjTCj/ This is all you need to see. Shady ain't going anywhere.
  12. ... And the war drum beats on. I am not the biggest Tyrod fan, but the reality is that he is better than anything we'll be able to get this offseason, minus maybe cousins. Even then it would cost a king's ransom to get him after he signs the franchise tender with the Skins. Same could be said about Watson as he'll be gone by the Bills draft. Other names linked with the Bills are less inspiring, such Alex Smith and Romo. If the team did this well with the 7th ranked team in scoring with Tyrod. Maybe if we added talent to the defense (or coached them up right), the team could do better than 8-8.
  13. That'll hurt his draft stock and take him down Kiper's Big Board.
  14. I'd be okay with a hybrid of shorter breaks and on-field as the announcers are awful enough to give us a break of a beer commercial.
  15. There are a lot of college coaches that are "recruiters" and nothing else. It is a freaking shame.
  16. This is very typical and symptomatic of athletes moving up levels. This happens at colleges too. I have had athletes in different sports regress, due to the lack of coaching techniques. It is amazing to see that as you move up levels the coaches assume athletes know enough to fend for themselves. Because a person is a pro coach or a college coach doesn't mean that the coach knows his craft well.
  17. I have watched enough ND games over the last few years. I just don't see the appeal for Kizer as a high round QB.
  18. Given the current political climate, I'd hazard to guess that Mexico is not an option atm
  19. How about the union of probabilities of winning division or earning card= 1/4+2/12= 5/12 This makes use of the assumption that 3 of the 6 AFC playoffs spots can not be earned by the Bills as they can only win 1 division out of the 4. This is opposed to the brute force logic that 6/16 teams make the playoffs in the AFC each year. Thus chances of not getting either spot being 7/12= 58.3% chance of missing the playoffs in a given year. So we agree with slightly different logic to come to the same conclusion. However, you make the mistake of only using 16 years, when we are now on year 17. Thus, the random probability odds are 1 in 1/((7/12)^17), or 1 in 9537. Thus, that 1 in 6 million number is horse crap. When you consider the fact that the probabilities of winning the division and a wild card are not independent and that the team from one year to the next is not random, these odds become more common as shown the Monte Carlo sim that I believe Tom cited earlier. That said, ESPN, if you are looking to hire someone with a passion for sports with a math degree, and understands statistics and probability, please PM me, so I can send in my resume.
  20. Facts don't matter much to people who have strong opinions.
  21. It would help if our kicker wasn't on par with the kicker from UB, as the 3 points was there on the first drive in OT
  22. One I am wondering is why they didn't grant White the time-out at the end of regulation, pre-snap. He clearly was calling time-out at that point, but the broadcast focused on Rex being late.
