  1. It will make the VA, NJ and MA results look like child's play. This November we are going see an angry and energized anti-left, anti-liberal, anti-democrat electorate the likes of which we've never seen. Better hide the women and children. Obama, Pelosi and Reid's health care bill process has been the most sick, most twisted and most shameful display ever of American democracy in action.
  2. Top ten reasons your 2010 Buffalo Bills will excite the pants off you this year... 10. From now till the draft, you can look forward to daily arguments about whether Florida's Tim Tebow can make it in the NFL as a starting QB or not. 9. You've got wings and you've got beer, what else ya want you big babies. 8. The maniacal tweets of Donte Whitner...need I say more? 7. Buddy's pressers are hotter than a $2 pistol on the Fourth of July. 6. Cornell Green...championship! 5. No more TO and his distractions which were the obvious reason this team failed to make the playoffs last year. 4. CBS has decided to create a new "CSI" Buffalo series based solely on Marshawn Lynch investigations. 3. Maybin's shirtless body updates! 2. Good ol' fashioned QB controversy? Yeah, we got that...Fitzy vs Edwards baby!!!! 1. Dick Jauron has been hired as the "live" target in the stadium's new "Shoot the Geek" game.
  3. Are you high? Have you watched McNabb play the last few years? Some of the fans here have a way over-inflated opinion of McNabb. I don't know if it's the Syracuse Western NY thing or not, but it really scares me. You should know better Alpha. McNabb hasn't been a really good QB since the Superbowl season five years ago. Right now he's an older guy who has all the appearances of being someone on his last legs and he'll be the type of player who's play will quickly nosedive from the now just above average level he's currently at. I give him one (two at the most) more seasons before he's reduced to being a full time clipboard holder/mentor. Dude is no where near worth flipping back to the back of round one. Are you kidding me with this stuff???? The Bills should offer no more than a third for a short shelf-life slightly above average guy like McNabb. One last thing, the dude flat out sucks in the big games.
  4. Give me a break, Johnson left the field with the lead and only 16 seconds to go in the game.
  5. http://www.gbnreport.com/ "Star Alabama MLB Rolando McClain stunned the pro scouting fraternity when he disclosed after he became ill during the Tide’s pro day today that he has had Crohn's Disease, an inflammatory intestinal condition, since his freshman year in high school. McClain reportedly treats the condition with medication and obviously has been able to play with it a very high level to date, however, its certain to be a major red flag for pro teams heading into the 2010 draft at which McClain had been rated as a top 10-15 prospect."
  6. Don't know about Nix, but TSW would have cleaned the clocks of the previous regime in terms of drafting players. From my recollection if there were a vote on 1st round picks in the last four drafts we'd have... 2006 Ngata and Mangold 2007 Lynch 2008 Clady or Albert 2009 Orakpo or Oher Why oh why did Ralph stick with Jauron and Co. for so long? Hiring Marv as GM, and Marv in turn hiring his loser Chicago buddy Dick Jauron has to be the two biggest mistakes in franchise history.
  7. The guy has no arm, plays with fear, doesn't even like football, isn't a fan of the Buffalo Bills, complains about being cold and damp after a loss to the Cleveland Browns. But yeah, we should give Edwards another chance because a former player who no longer watches the team thinks we should. Andre needs to go back to being seen only in those now ancient Bills' clips, and not heard. The Bills should cut Edwards and sign Losman. At least Losman was able to throw a deep ball and never complained about being cold and damp like a little wuss.
  8. The Bills are running out of options. I was hoping that Bradford would be there at 9, but that clearly is no longer the case. Signing a player like Carr or Losman is an option that unfortunately should at least be on the table. Carr has looked good in his spot duty appearances in NY and Losman looked good with the Vegas team last year. These are two veteran QBs that actually had the physical talent for the NFL, and who maybe have learned the mental aspect of the game enough to be viable QB competition options in what would be viewed as a year long gamble/experiment before the Bills would select their franchise QB in 2011 (with a bad record in tow of course). I'm intrigued at what the Bills are going to do this year at the QB position. We are seriously screwed till next draft. At this point, I'm looking at veeeery longshot options who are in their prime and at least have the physical talents to play the position. The list of free agent QBs is depressing and I'm trying to look for the silver lining of this sad group.
  9. http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2010/03..._quarterba.html San Fran, St Louis, Cleveland Should the Bills look into David Carr? Bringing back Losman? I'd rather have either of those two QBs on the team than Edwards (who should be released), and I think either of them would have a great shot at beating out either Fitzpatrick or Brohm. Ok, that's NOT a good thing...but these are both players who may have grown up and are ready pull a Rich Gannon on the league. I know that's a big stretch, but so is getting Bradford in the draft. I definitely don't want Clausen, he seems like a kid that will take years to grow up. Maybe the Bills should take a year flyer on either Carr or Losman. Man we are so screwed with the QB situation, I can't believe that I'm even suggesting these two guys as possibilities.
  10. http://www.ontheissues.org/Social/Barack_Obama_Abortion.htm "1997: opposed bill preventing partial-birth abortion In 1997, Obama voted in the Illinois Senate against SB 230, a bill designed to prevent partial-birth abortions. In the US Senate, Obama has consistently voted to expand embryonic stem cell research. He has voted against requiring minors who get out-of-state abortions to notify their parents. The National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) gives Obama a 100% score on his pro-choice voting record in the Senate for 2005, 2006, and 2007." Voting against a bill like this is a vote of approval no matter how much liberal mental gymnastics is used to argue the contrary.
  11. Obama and his sick liberal fans' twisted logic... Waterboarding is torture and should be illegal, partial birth abortion (basically murdering babies) is fine and should be legal. To answer the original question...yes, of course federal funding for abortions is in Obama's healthcare bill.
  12. The Bills should tell them that they're only will to part with nothing more than a fourth (plus a player like Whitner). This would leave room for the Eagles to negotiate up to a third if they really want something for him. The Bills should not be giving up 1st or 2nd round picks for McNabb. Dude is not that good anymore and he's clearly on his last NFL legs. Two years from now he's not going to be starting material.
  13. Thank God you're not our GM! McNabb has an "old" NFL body, he's starting to break down. Brett Favre is more healthy at 40 than McNabb is at 34. And you want the Bills to pony up a freaking first round pick???? Are you kidding me? The Philly front office and fans would be laughing at us if the Bills ever made that kind of a trade for a washed up QB. McNabb was last very good five years ago and he's been on a steady decline since that Superbowl season. Just look at the stats... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/McNaDo00.htm If the Bills are looking to dish prime draft picks then they should be targeting YOUNG and TALENTED players like the two QBs or the two DTs. and to think I thought we were all but done with the "gotta get McNabb" love fest...
  14. We already have Tyler Thigpen on the roster, his name is Ryan Fitzpatrick. Seriously, these two QBs are basically one and the same, decent backups but definitely not starting material. I say either pass, or if you do go out and get Thigpen then release Fitzpatrick. We don't need two guys here who have plateaued as bench warming QBs.
  15. I remember the Ravens getting Gaither in the fifth round of the supplemental draft and wondering why, for the Bills that is, he wouldn't have been worth gambling a fourth round pick for in the regular draft of the following season. I was shaking my head on that one and then I remembered, we're the Bills and they are the Ravens.
  16. I strongly disagree with your premise and actually feel like it's backwards. In general, the QB was and still is the most important ingredient for playoff bound teams... Let's break down the final eight teams... Brees - Saints OL ...great QB, average line Manning - Colts OL ...great QB, worst run game in the NFL and a QB who's the fastest at getting rid of the ball Favre - Vikings OL ...great QB, very good OL Sanchez - Jets OL ...rookie QB (not good yet), very good OL team that won with a strong defense Warner - Cards OL ...great QB, average line Romo - Cowboys OL ...good QB, good line, push Rivers - Chargers OL ...very good QB, very good line equals push Flacco - Ravens OL ...average QB, very good line, team that won with a strong defense The only two teams that support your contention that it is the better offensive line play rather than the QB play which propelled their team to the playoffs were the Jets and Ravens, with both teams getting there because of their defensive play. The NFL is a passing league and having a great QB is by far more important than having a great offensive line. With few exceptions, this has been the superhighway path to success in this league since forever. With that being said, The Bills will not even given the chance to draft Bradford (the only guy who is franchise worthy) since the Rams will probably select him. In the end, the Bills will probably select an OT at #9. But that doesn't change the fact that finding a very good QB is the highest priority of any NFL team wishing to not only make, but have success in the playoffs.
  17. Bradford is going to be selected by the Rams with the first pick. As someone here had mentioned, it makes absolutely no sense for a team without a QB to draft a DT at #1. First off, QB is the most important position in football. Secondly, the contract size alone dictates it goes to the QB position if one is there and there is a great need for one. So for all the Bills fans worrying one way or the other, Bradford will be gone before the Lions pick. BTW, if he were to be passed over by the Rams, I'd hope the Bills do pony up the picks/players to get him. This team has gone long enough without a franchise QB and if it takes next years #1 and a player or a mid round pick, then so be it. Get er done and let true hope be restored in Bills nation.
  18. That was a year too late. This second year player had just been given the starting QB job and he leaves Buffalo to go golfing for three months???? Sorry, but you can't undo first impressions. You can't put the toothpaste back into the tube. The guy clearly is not dedicated to the game of football. I don't even think he likes playing it. As a QB, you're either all in or you're all out. Exceptions can be made to veteran players who have proven their mettle. Not to snotty-nosed primadonas who complain on camera about being cold and damp after a loss. That was my "he jumped the shark" moment with Trent.
  19. You both need to step away from that crack pipe. Edwards is the very definition of a pantywaist. Both Fitzy and Losman are better QBs than Trent. Heck, some of the Jills are probably better than that him.
  20. I was screaming here about his lack of leadership when he hit the gold course that offseason. I remember there were a lot of fans laughing about that even being an issue. I was shocked that a second year player, third round draft choice would choose to act like a ten year vet with multiple playoff appearances under his belt. I was angry about it. I would bet it's hard to find anyone here who would still feel his taking off and kicking back that offseason was fine and dandy and very leader-like of him.
  21. Trent Edwards is a guy that complained about being cold and damp after a loss to Cleveland. He's a guy that decided to leave Buffalo and hit the golf course full time after being given the keys to starting spot after only his second season. He's a guy who has never had a good game in inclement weather. He had his shot to be a leader and he blew it due to lack of dedication (love of the game?) and lack of ability. Fitz deserves to stay here and be given a chance over Edwards because at least the guy proved he could thrive in bad weather and he's shown leadership and a passion for the game.
  22. That was my point. It was a rhetorical question. If there was a "both teams would get the ball in overtime system" then there would be no incentive to attempt a long drive to win the game.
  23. I was being facetious, it was meant to mock the fans that feel cheated by the current Sudden Death rules. The current rules are very fair, there are 60 minutes to win the game or be prepared to lose a coin toss in OT with a statistical <GASP!!!!> 40% chance of winning. No need to sissy-fy the game and water down the 4th quarter drama.
  24. How's about we get him somebody who can throw the ball to him?
  25. Wrong. We've lost first possession overtime games before and never whined about the rule.
