This is a great point. I was always shocked at how over the last decade, many of the Patriot players put the "team" ahead of their personal bank accounts. I don't know what was in the koolaid Belichick was giving them, but this phenomenon has never happened before or since to any other NFL team. Glad to see those days of the Pats being immune to disgruntled players and their contract demands are long gone now.

Another Tale From The Most Ethical Congress Ever
1billsfan replied to /dev/null's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Time to grap the tissues Nancy (she has seen this kind of violence before)... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/17/p...e_n_289999.html No doubt this thug democrat congressman is a closet tea party person. -
Seahawks Still Quite Interested In Lynch
1billsfan replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Seattle's quite interested, and Marshawn is an excellent fit on paper for the Seahawks, then why would Seattle expect the Bills to part with him for a late round pick? This is some stupid !@#$. Is it too much to ask that Rotoworld write a coherent, well thought out story? -
Favorite non-Bill player ever likely to retire
1billsfan posted a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For that Superbowl catch alone, he's my favorite non-Bill player of all time... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ying/?related=1 Thank you for driving the stake through the Patriots heart! -
So amazingly stupid, you couldn't possibly make it up... "LOS ANGELES --- A space-themed, talking Hallmark graduation card is being pulled from store shelves because of the card’s reference to a black hole. But members of the Los Angeles NAACP say the message sounds like "black whore" in the card's audio recording. That's how they hear it, and they say it's racist, KABC-TV in Los Angeles reported." http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/11/naacp...t-card-shelves/ So instead of feeling embarrassed for their error, they outright refuse to understand the meaning and comic reference of a black hole and still demanded the card be pulled???? And Hallmark actually pulls this card from the shelves???? Next stop Idiocracy.

Schobel was a very solid defensive end. Nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately, there were few other solid players during his tenure here. I appreciated his effort and his leading by example, although I'm not upset that he's leaving since I think his best days are behind him and he's lost his passion for the game. Being coached by Dick Jauron for four years will do that for you.

This is a thread comparing Johnson and Edwards. I suggest you go get some therapy on your Losman obsession. No matter how many times I've said I was wrong about JP Losman it never seems to sink into your thick skull Bill. I was right about Dick Jauron but I don't feel the need to keep a running personal vendetta against all the Bills fans here who derided my negative opinions about Jauron's skills over the last three years. I frankly don't even remember or care about who was on who's side of the Losman/Edwards debate. They both suck. Get over it buddy. Time to find yourself another hobby.

So to an Edwards lover like yourself, a Bills fan is not even being serious if he thinks Rob Johnson was better than Edwards???? Dude, you need to get your face out of Trent's jock and get some air. Newsflash, Trent Edwards IS A LOSER... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxs...cgi?qb=EdwaTr01 He's got a 14-16 losing record, and the majority of those 14 wins are against reeeeaaaaal crappy competition. He is 5-12 in his last 17 games since this pantywaist got flattened in Arizona. I feel bad for that hit maybe being the reason for his lack of balls, but I think he should do Buffalo a favor and retire to go play golf which is his true love and passion. He needs to stop lying to himself. I feel bad for the fans who still think that Edwards is this great QB waiting to break through. He doesn't like football, doesn't like Buffalo and doesn't like the Bills. On top of that the guy is a wussy and throws like a girl. I can't wait till this loser is cut in training camp. It's gonna happen, you watch.

Movies that confuse/haunt/bewilder
1billsfan replied to Cugalabanza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Bad Influence 1990 - w/ Rob Lowe and James Spader Lowe plays a real evil character in this film. I saw this with my wife the other night and was surprised at how many good scenes there were in this movie...the engagement party scene where Lowe abruptly splits Spader's ties to his fiancee, Spader's creepy bunny mask in the liquor store robbery spree to his arrival at work the morning after, also Spader popping in that VHS cassette. This movie was surprisingly good and provided some well delivered creepy moments in it. -
Next Buffalo Bills QB to throw for 300 yards?
1billsfan replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you Edwards lovers are on his jock now, exactly what would you do to Trent if he did indeed get us to a 6-4 record by week 10? -
Sorry Edwards fans, Rob Johnson was better... Rob Johnson Games 26 TDs 27 % 64 INT 17 Trent Edwards Games 30 TDs 24 % 61 INT 25 But these Edwards fans will somehow still feel the need to ignore the obvious, ignore what they have witnessed the last two seasons and buy into the moronic thoughts of a bad ex-NFL QB turned bad NFL analyst.

Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you're wrong, I heard an interview with Trent in the early summer of '09 where Edwards told the radio host that all he was doing was playing a ton of golf. Manning and Brady were legendary in their offseason dedications. They practically lived at their respective teams' training facilities. Watching film, lifting weights, showing leadership. You're right, life is too short. That's why I have no time to be sympathetic to a guy that could care less about doing what it takes to better himself for my team. -

Yes the coaching sucked, but can I get an opinion from you on weather or not you think, through his previous actions, Edwards is or isn't dedicated to the game of football? -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guarantee, Manning and Brady were not taking whole offseasons off to play golf after their second season. Please name me one successful NFL QB who did that so early in their career over the last ten years. -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't need to read it again. Make no mistake, I'll be like a pit bull when it comes to fans here making excuses for a guy who was more interested in improving his golf game than improving his skills at his chosen profession. Frankly, it was the "for Christ sake" after the excuse that sent me over the edge. Why feel the need to be so sympathetic to Trent? He doesn't give a crap about Buffalo, the Bills OR even his job for Christ sake! By leaving Buffalo for the links, this loser acted like he had it all figured out. As if he were Peyton Manning or Tom Brady and not the first year starter who went down in flames in his last three games to end the 2008 season. You may not be a Trent supporter or pom pom waver, but you did give the guy a "there, there...I feel your pain" pat on the back. Fans here on this board need to be giving him the major kick in the ass that he deserves. -
Git'er done Obama???? Oh please, Obama should be forced to live in Detroit just so that he can see first hand the ditch his liberal democrat policies are driving America into... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit "Politics - Politically, the city consistently supports the Democratic Party in state and national elections (local elections are nonpartisan). According to a study released by the Bay Area Center for Voting Research, Detroit is the most liberal large city in America, measuring only the percentage of city residents who voted for the Democratic Party."

Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Boo hoo hooooo... Try he left Buffalo for all of the 2009 offseason to go play golf for Christ sake. Try he complained about being cold and damp after a horrible loss to the Cleveland Browns. This guy is a freaking a loser, and I'm tired of the latest rehabilitation campaign of this wuss. As for Dilfer, he owes his job to Ray Lewis and anybody who thinks he knows what he's talking about is crazy. He actually said that he'd take Colt McCoy or Jimmy Clausen over Sam Bradford. Moron doesn't even begin to cover Trent Dilfer's analysis skills. Now there's always the chance that Dilfer could eventually get something right at his current job, but I'm betting that this poor little Trent Edwards crying jag is not one of them. -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
More like he regressed because, after his first year, NFL defensive coordinators quickly realized that they had zero to fear of Trent Edwards' arm. The good one's are able to overcome the adjustments the league throws at them. Trent has never recovered. It's time for the Trent Edwards' excuse train to pull into the station and for everyone to realize that both he and his head coach were putrid. -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was better than Trent Edwards, which isn't saying a whole lot. The funny thing is that there are still a lot of fans still willing to buy into the ridiculous "cry me a river" excuses for Trent's bad play where they were mocking Losman supporters for hanging onto the dream for far too long. I admit I was wrong about Losman's ability to be a successful NFL starter. It's time for the Trent supporters to give it up already. The guy flat out sucks whether he were being coached by Dick Jauron or the best coach in the league. -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There was a time when the majority of fans here were screaming at me for excoriating Dick Jauron's head coaching skills and cried about how he really was a good coach but the poor guy was being victimized by having bad talent. How'd that one turn out? So now we have to endure the Trent Edwards is a victim card???? Please, enough already. I can understand Dilfer's comments because first, he's an idiot, and second, he's probably watched at most two or three Bills' games with Trent Edwards as our QB. Both Jauron AND Edwards sucked and neither should have any business being in the league with any important roll of note. -
Trent Dilfer on Trent Edwards:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The entire problem with Trent Edwards was Dick Jauron, huh? Sorry but this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read here. Let's be real here, Trent Dilfer is seriously one of the dumbest NFL analysts ever (and dumb NFL analysts are in abundance). So Trent Edwards is a freaking victim now? He's the biggest wuss to ever wear a Bills uniform and we fans supposed to look at him as a victim now? Give me a break. -
Where your New York tax dollars go...
1billsfan replied to KD in CA's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sorry, but give me a break. A couple of weeks ago, 30,000 union members (though noted that not all were teachers) protested Christie's plans. If there are some teachers who were accepting of pay freezes then they are being awfully silent... http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2010/05/p...out_in_for.html "New Jersey Education Association President Barbara Keshishian criticized Christie for his "arrogant, destructive policies." The governor and the state teachers' unions have been feuding for months over pay freezes." These "we do it for the children" teachers should be thanking their lucky stars they even have jobs in this economy. But these little piggies are crying about the prospects of pay freezes in a state where 70 billion wealth left the state between 2004 and 2008 due to it's high tax rate... http://www.nj.com/business/index.ssf/2010/...th_over_fo.html -
Where your New York tax dollars go...
1billsfan replied to KD in CA's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Meanwhile here in New Jersey, Chris Christie (our rotund hero) is beating the crap out of the unions... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/...new_jersey.html "At a New Jersey town meeting, Gov. Chris Christie, the newest YouTube star for the limited government set, was reproached by an unhappy teacher. The governor, facing a budget shortfall of $11 billion, has proposed, among other economies, a one-year salary freeze for New Jersey teachers. Her voice raised in anger (that's a normal speaking voice in my home state), Rita Wilson protested that she should be paid $83,000, the only reasonable compensation in light of her "education and experience." Christie's reply got an ovation: "Well, you know what? Then you don't have to do it."" ...that is so awesome! I laugh when I think about the predicted new democratic governor Andrew Cuomo telling the bus drivers..."Well, you know what? Then you don't have to do it."... Not a chance that would happen! -
Fred Jackson to Marshawn:
1billsfan replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every NFL team has disgruntled players. Lucky for us we have two very good RBs that are ready and willing to lay it on the line for the Bills in 2010. I will file this in the "who cares" category. -
Our last three coaches were all posers. Three different types, but still all posers none the less. Malarkey was like a cardboard cutout. He looked like a head coach and said all the right things, but he had no depth at all. Greggo clearly acted like a guy pretending to be somebody else (Buddy Ryan?) and failing miserably in his attempt. Jauron was a guy who was all talk with absolutely no accountability in place to back it up. Players can smell when a head coach doesn't have the authenticity to be a head coach. Gailey strikes me as the first authentic NFL head coach we've had since Wade.
