Mosque coming to Ground Zero
1billsfan replied to WisconsinBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They are building a 10 story/100 million dollar middle finger to all of the people who perished on 911. The fact that there's so much outrage (predictably so) and yet they're still going full speed ahead just goes to show you that this isn't about building a "house of worship," it's about embarrassing America on the victims of 911 on the grandest of stages. -
I don't know if you realize this, but Walmart and Verizon's travel and security expenses are not paid for by us taxpayers. Also, we Amercians have had enough of being preached to "tighten our belts" her to by her husband, then two years into the worst recession in history she decides to thumb her nose at all of the poor saps. I sure hope she is "proud" of herself. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...toryId=96231055 "Bush has dug a deep hole. It's going to take some time to dig us out. We're all going to need to tighten our belts a little bit. We're all going to need to sacrifice," the senator says. http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/obam...uestion-546481/ "First Lady Requires More Than Twenty Attendants Recession, Depression, What, Michelle Worry?" "One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one"

You guys act like we all don't know that the republicans are just as corrupt as the democrats. All of Washington DC politicians are living a ridiculously decadent lifestyle for people elected to a publicly held office. The republicans aren't the ones in power though. They haven't held majority over a congressional house/senate since jan 2007 or the presidency since jan 2009. WE ALL KNOW that the are republicans are corrupt too. The republicans now have a golden opportunity on their hands to change if they're given the nod by an ever growing angry American electorate in nov. Obama's clueless wife just gave the republicans a huge gift with her insanely insensitive trip to Spain.

Well I'm cutting him some slack...I had to edit my reply because I completely !@#$ up a metaphor. I originally said "the thud you just heard was Obama's "we're just regular folk" line being flushed for good." Gotta chuckle when you can around the PPP.
-
I know you're trying to argue the case, but I feel like this is a bad metaphor to begin with and is completely overshadowing the original topic. What she did by going on this opulent overseas trip to Spain (with 40 friends and family/70 security agents in tow) is not rude, inconsiderate, nor arrogant...it is obscene given the circumstances our country has been faced with the last two years. BTW, all of Washington DC is awash in decadence. The difference is that Mrs. Obama just took it to the highest in your face level yet. The thud you just heard was Obama's "we're just regular folk" line hitting the floor for good.
-
Decadence is the first lady Michelle Obama amazingly taking a gaudy vacation with forty of her friends and family to a five star hotel in Spain while America has a 9.5 unemployment figure and is currently going through the worst recession it it's history. Millions of people have lost their homes in foreclosure. 40 million people are on food stamps, largest ever. And the fact that the American taxpayer is on on the hook for $250,000 of it, which just adds another log to the deficit bonfire that our children and children's children will eventually have to pay off, sickens me to the core... http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/08/06/mi...king-criticism/

My bet's on Snooki. Viacom's fourth quarter profit quadrupled thanks to the "Jersey Shore" ... http://online.wsj.com/article/NA_WSJ_PUB:S...1100705034.html

I saw Snooki last night... They had eight cops outside of the bar for crowd control on the boardwalk, and inside there were 4 huge security dudes surrounding her table. It was a freaking zoo. However, the owner of the bar had a huge smile on his face. Right there Snookie is better than Obama in helping out the small business owners and the economy.

NAACP accuses Tea Party of being racist
1billsfan replied to WisconsinBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
When these "crazy" people happen to be the ones caught on video in front of polling place, during a presidential election, with nightsticks making threats against white people, and the president (who is black) condones this behavior by dropping the charges, then it is a THREAT. This is how the nazis got to power, as Jefferson once said... "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." You and the MSM are being good little blind followers by remaining silent in the face of an extremely offensive non-action by this administration regarding this case. Obama said that this is not a country of red states and blue states, but apparently it's a country with two sets of rules depending on whether you're a black person or white person. -

Glenn Beck, Hannity and Palin should all start wearing t-shirts saying "I told you so." ...and then start selling t-shirts that say "Sorry America, I voted for stupid" with Obama's likeness on it. For the crowd who have the guts to use humor to apologize publicly. Hey, maybe you can wear a t-shirt that says "I heart Obama." You can probably find one somewhere in a poor south american village now. -

What's sad and scary is that this happened in 2008, was reported on in 2008, 2009, 2010 and neither he nor a sitting congressman haven't a clue about it. -

You forgot to add that they were wielding bats. Not that it's important to get so detail oriented or anything. -

http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/42920/ Glenn Beck - "So today I was watching Fox and MSNBC. I look up and Fox is doing a story on the Black Panthers because there's new amazing audio from the Black Panthers. And what was MSNBC doing? A round panel about the NAACP claiming that the tea parties are racist and how racist the tea parties are. We are in two separate countries." This pretty much sums up why you and the congressman appear to be out of the loop. BTW, for all the jokes and barbs thrown at them during the great american Obama love-in, turns out that Hannity, Beck and Palin were all correct about Obama. The president, through his and his AG's actions condone and protect voter intimidation of white people. Time to stop watching the government run media and re-educate yourself. -
Which quarterback are you pulling for ultimately
1billsfan replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks, it's been a brutal three years worth of watching Trent meander down the field knowing there wasn't any chance he was even going to attempt to throw a pass in the endzone let alone a touchdown pass. What part of that do these people want more of exactly? -

Voting for Trent to start is like a person who's been walking the desert for 300 miles and voting for 100 extra miles of desert. It reminds me of the holdout Jauron supporters last year. They needed to see that train wreck one last time to be certain that he sucked. Eight years of being a loser coach clearly did not give them the hint. -
NASA (Not About Space Anymore)
1billsfan replied to IDBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
When the base tenant of that religion is convert or die, and our president wants to give these bomb makers the biggest overture ever in handing them NASA technology to help them in quickening their objective? Honestly, stop being a dope. You act as if you've never heard about two gigantic buildings in manhattan being blown to bits in the name of this religion. -

1billsfan replied to IDBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Obama's terrorist loving overtures like this will drive even more independents and moderate dems to vote in the republican columns in 2010 and 2012. This is insanity and comes close to Obama being a traitor, given that we've been at war with muslim extremists since they declared it on 9/11. Yet his top priority is to give muslims NASA technology???? As much as I hate the notion of Biden being President, I think that Obama's actions have become too scary to ignore and our country can no longer risk putting our faith and security in his muslim loving hands. He's clearly a phony and I'm starting to believe the people who think Obama's a closet muslim, including Obama himself... http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/obam...faith08.article -
Pete Starks Town Hall meeting last Saturday
1billsfan replied to erynthered's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
...and here I foolishly thought I kept up on my politics! Hey, there's hope for LABillzFan since we elected Governor Christie here in heavily democratic New Jersey. Unlike Obama, the guy is a true rock star. California needs to get off the weed and take a good look at piece of waste products running things over there. -

Losman Looking Good in Seattle

What's funny to me is that we had actually had a nasty board war over Losman and Edwards. What's also funny is how easy it is to bring back around here! -

They're all in a state of shock and denial. Not only is Losman back in the league, his current NFL stock is higher than Edwards! -
54 people shot in a SINGLE WEEKEND
1billsfan replied to WisconsinBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Wasn't his "legendary" experience in community organizing the inner city streets of Chicago one of Obama's biggest selling points to becoming the President of the United States? Good thing for Obama that the idiots who voted for him didn't do their homework and look into the murder rate of Chicago. Yeah, America's in the ditch...but hey, our president is so cool!
