I think if you give Fitzpatrick a running game and a solid defense he'd be every bit the QB that Eli Manning is. Actually I think he's already as good as him. The Bills have two ways to go... 1. They either go the franchise route with Newton or Gabbert, 2. Or they follow the NY Giants Superbowl winning route with a solid defense, running game and solid QB. Dude had 23 TDs in 13 games without a running game to protect him. He made a huge leap in performance and can still get even better. I think he's just a notch below a franchise QB and that's good enough to win the whole darn thing. -
Gailey says while OT is not a crying need......

I think our run offense was pathetic. Our whole offense was Fitzpatrick and the WRs. Tyron Smith's measurables were the highlight of the OL weight in day. If you select this guy you may actually gain two #1 picks...Smith and CJ Spiller. I'm not saying that I definitely want him, just that he should be considered if we trade down. -
There's no reason to take a QB at #38 who has a very low probability to reach the level where Ryan Fitzpatrick is right now. People have forgotten that we actually do have a good QB. They either take a QB at #3 or they wait till the 3rd on down before taking a QB. And if they take a QB in the 3rd or 4th, he had better have a projected higher upside than what we have right now, which is pretty good. Otherwise they're just wasting picks that can be used for fortify other positions. I prefer either take a QB at #3, or not at all and reevaluate the position going into the 2012 draft.

Don't worry, there's no way of that happening. Fitzpatrick is a hundred times better than McNabb right now. McNabb is done as a starting QB and will either have to accept a backup roll or retire. -

Here's a mock draft in which the Bills fall back to a team (which wants a QB) and they add a second rounder in return… Round 1… OT http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tyron-smith?id=2495435 Round 2a… TE http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/kyle-rudolph?id=2495438 Round 2b… OG http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/ben-ijalana?id=2495174 OR http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/danny-watkins?id=2495360 Round 3…Best DL prospect (Nevis, Austin, Jenkins) Round 4a…Best LB prospect (Moch, Matthews, McCarthy) Round 4b…Best QB or DB prospect I know that we have defense on the brain, but just think of what this kind of draft would do for us… 1. Tyron Smith 2a. Kyle Rudolf 2b. Ben Iialana or Danny Watkins 3. Nevis, Austin or Jenkins 4a. Moch, Matthews or McCarthy 4b. Best QB or DB prospect I'm not saying that this is definitely what we should do, just that doing this would be very tempting. -
Point very well put.
-
I tried to ignore it, but when the number of people doing it grows to three I felt the need to at least make note of this practice. I came to this thread to condemn a systematic culture of brutality against women, ALL women no matter what race they are.
-
Prove it, show me the quote where I condemned an entire race or religion based on a single crime or terrorist attack. If I'm a racist, why would I care what they do to their women who are not white? Are you a misogynist? Because you obviously have a problem with my criticisms. This "you're a racist" garbage has officially gotten out of hand. I do feel it's libelous and violates the TOS. I'm asking that the mods weigh in on this issue because I certainly won't be coming over here at the PPP any longer unless there are at least ground rules like not being able to continually label someone a racist without cause.
-
Just what I thought, epic failure.
-
Prove it. Seriously, show me my racist quotes tough guy. BTW skippy, if I was a racist I wouldn't even care what they do to their women. You know, the ones who aren't exactly white. Oh and just so you know, by "they" I mean the ones who cut the clitorises off of women, bury their women up to their necks and crush their skulls in with rocks, whip their woman in public. So run along now, you've got your homework assignment for the night. Prove me a racist buddy.
-
Calling someone a racist ends all serious discussions and only proves you've lost the argument. It's widely regarded as the "No Mas" of political message boards. You and DC Tom make a perfect match..."Darn, I got nothin', I know I'll call him a name! That's it! What a brilliant idea!" You guys are a piece of freaking work I tell ya...have a nice day gents.

You're the one with the comprehension problem since you keep talking about rape in the singular sense. For the last time, we're talking about GANG assaults. Not one animal raping a women like you keep inferring. I'm absolutely positive that gang rapes/assaults are far more prevalent in Egypt. Sorry, but this attempt of making equal the American and Egyptian cultures, makes you and your liberal friends look foolish.

What are Pawlenty and Romney waiting for?

Oh please, GM would have been better off if they had just gone into bankruptcy and got out from under the ridiculous union contracts. By the way, that's it? GM? That's all you got? That's pretty pathetic for a man in which unhinged liberal American's passed out over only two short years ago. -
Roughly is right, notice how they couldn't find any reliable data in those "controlled" islamic countries? What they do figure is that "roughly" 2 million girls are genetically mutilated every year in the world. How you can find a silver lining "it's becoming a less popular practice" point in that is beyond me. They don't have the data so let's fall on the side that it's become less popular? Is sharia law becoming less popular too?
-
Not an entire religion (see culture), but a religion large and powerful enough that it rules (see perpetrates evilness) over entire countries. There are peaceful muslims (see Kareem Abdul Jabar), there's are also a large population of evil minded muslims in the world that want sharia law the world over. It's beyond sick and disturbing what muslim men do to women. Note what all of the countries listed have in common in the link I've provided here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_genital_cutting Hopefully the revolutions happening in the ME will eventually result in freeing women from this kind of evil systematic mutilation.
-
Sorry, I thought we were discussing gang rapes by mobs of men. Oh yes that's right we were discussing that very thing. Not singular, "gang" rapes and assaults. When was the last time an American woman was forced to have her clitoris cut off? Buried up to her neck and had her head crushed by animals throwing stones? I was discussing that while there are gang assaults in both countries, the Egyptians gang of men assaulted CBS's (one of America's big 3 networks) top female reporter. Whipping her and calling her a Jew and American B word. It wasn't just some "random" woman. Women are mere property to these scum of the earth types. A gang assault is horrific no matter what, but pretending that there's not a cultural and political agenda with the Logan assault is living in a la la land.
-
You're right, it's islamic law.
-
While it's obvious that there've been brutal gang rapes and attacks here in the US, you simply can not ignore the major difference here. There's religious, cultural and political facets at work. There are islamic states that practice sharia law, that systematically cut the clitoris off of the female population, that bury women up to their necks to stone them for "crimes" such as infidelity, that publicly whip them for minor offenses. This is evil pure and simple. The attacks made here in the US are evil mobs, however they're random occurrences. This attack is an evil mob who follow a political agenda that wants to foist evil and brutal punishments against women (and men) in the name of a systematic religious governing regime all over the world. Do all muslims believe in sharia law? No. But there is apparently a large number of them that do. A large enough number that sharia law rules entire countries. The grand prize for muslims is to eventually have the US be ruled by sharia law. If you don't believe that then you're as naive as CBS. Since the attack, I have yet to see a female reporter reporting from one of these islamic countries. Maybe this will be a wake up call to the evil and misogynist practices of islamic states.

That's an interesting take. I'd be afraid of that as much as I'd be afraid of the Jimmy Carter defenders (were there any?). If you can't retort against the hot mess that this country is in then who in their right mind would donate any money? Taking on the democrats should be like shooting fish in a barrel nowadays. What you're taking about is defense, I'm taking about going on offense with the daily "Are you freaking kidding me?" take on what Obama's doing and telling America what a smart and sensible person would do instead. It's time to take the non-stop "Jimmy Carter 2.0" sledge hammer out of the bag and let the liberals have it. -
These two guys are obviously going to run for the presidency. Could you not have a better time time run? Obama has fubarred everything he's touched...foreign policy, sending in his thugs in support of the hugely unpopular public union and their temper tantrums, gas prices are already sky high and going higher under an idiot president who tamps down domestic drilling efforts. Seriously, what the hell are these two goofballs waiting for? I saw that Pawlenty's doing the rounds of TV interviews for a book tour, I'd ask him, "Do you not read the news, or are you just a dumb jackass with no sense of timing and a lame book?" For the record I don't like either of these card board cut outs, I'm for Christie.

Drafts made from GBN's top 150 final ranking

If the Bills are doing a hybrid defense and with Quinn's size, Paea could perhaps be the perfect compliment to the Quinn OLB first round pick. -
Drafts made from GBN's top 150 final ranking
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Heyward was ranked #33 and we're at #34. I was being strict to the ranking board. -
Just for fun I'd thought I'd do a few drafts off of the GBN's final board before the combine. I went strictly by who was available on the board when our pick came… The "Franchise QB" draft… 1. Cam Newton QB (3) 2. Ben Ijalana G (35) 3. Kenrick Ellis DE/DT (67) 4. Colin McCarthy ILB (99) 4. Kendric Burney CB (121) 5. Chykie Brown CB (134) The "building a tough defense" draft… 1. Robert Quinn OLB (3) 2. Stephen Paea DE/DT (35) 3. Kelvin Sheppard ILB (67) 4. Colin Kaepernick QB (99) 4. Kendric Burney CB (121) 5. Chykie Brown CB (134) The "BPA" in 1st round draft… 1. A.J. Green WR (3) 2. Stephen Paea DE/DT (35) 3. Kelvin Sheppard ILB (67) 4. Dontay Moch OLB (99) 4. Kendric Burney CB (121) 5. Chykie Brown CB (134) http://www.gbnreport.com/top100.html Of course some players will go much earlier than these rankings, however remember that while there will be players who go much earlier, that will inevitably push quality players into lower draft positions.

Warren Sapp rates Dareus over Fairley
1billsfan replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By the time draft day comes, it'll be widely considered that there are four "Superstar" player types in this draft...Green, Peterson, Fairley and Newton. We're picking at #3, so I think this is a great year to be picking where we are. I'd have no problem picking any of them. I just don't want the Bills picking for need or scheme over BPA with that pick. That second round pick can be the need and scheme pick.
