  1. "Do you even realize that I could literally lead the league in five or those 7 categories with enough pass attempts?" With that silly statement, you have proven yourself to be someone who's not be taken seriously. I'll refrain from commenting any further.
  2. Sounds like Quinn, Jordan or Watt is the pick if they indeed are trading out of that #3 spot. Depending on the spot, Miller will most likely be off the board.
  3. 10th in TD% 10th in Sack% 15th in TDs (13 games) 16th Yards per game 17th Yards per catch 21st in Completions (13 games) 22nd in Yards (13 games) In one year Fitzpatrick went from being an ok backup to being right in the middle of starting NFL quarterbacks in this league. This was AFTER he came in off the bench two games into the season no less. In one year he improved his QB rating by 12 points. But just keep on trying to pretend he's a bottom of the league QB with no chance of further improvements given a full training camp, a running game and a good defense like the top guys have had.
  4. Mike Mayock has jumped the shark with his praise of Gabbert and trashing of Newton. I've seriously lost all respect for this guy the last few months. I really don't know what his deal is, but I don't think he's right in the head.
  5. That's not half as funny as you (and many here like you) wanting the Bills to pick Blaine Gabbert. He of the 16 TDs in the spread offense against college competition. He of the 69th QB rating ranking. He of the 3.25 YPA on 3rd and 8-10. He of the 30% completion rate on throws over 15 yards. Clearly you guys didn't have your fill of Trent Edwards...LOL
  6. It's weird, I listen to the experts talk about him and it's as if they are brainless drones. They generally don't talk about his play on the field, they talk more about his attitude, his personality, his leadership skills, his work ethic. All important traits, but that obviously should be discussed AFTER you have displayed GREAT ability on the field against college competition. There was a guy drafted a long time ago because he had everything going for him except his play on the field…Todd Marinovich. He's obviously not a psycho like Marinovich, but this is the last guy that I can remember that was promoted to such a degree that he was a 1st round QB pick with mid to late round on the field ability. There was a thread about racism in regards to the rough media handling of Newton and the kid glove handling of Gabbert. It's crystal clear that Newton is getting wrongly stereotyped with failed black 1st round QBs, while Gabbert's skipping hand in hand through the daisies with the media and also with horrible numbers from his 2010 season. Has one media expert brought up Chase Daniels???? The opposing handling of these two guys is the story of this draft. I'm glad that you brought up Chase Daniels. That right there breaks wide open the sham going on in the media's strange love affair with Gabbert. IMO, there's zero chance the Bills take Gabbert.
  7. What were these red flag "comments" at a press conference that you're referring to. If he does drop and becomes the next Julius Peppers then there will be about 10-23 teams that will being asking themselves what they were so freaking scared about. The only red flag for me is the year off, but that was dissipated by his good (and by that I mean very acceptable for a top ten OLB pick) combine performance.
  8. Dareus cooling off. (I never warmed up to him...LOL) Bills like Peterson and Miller a lot... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/peter_king/03/27/mmqb/index.html Take it for what it's worth I guess.
  9. Other than Patrick Peterson or AJ Green, I could do the exact same thing with all of the other potential #3 picks. Give me a name and I'll gladly do it. That was a very impressive sophomore season. Let me repeat, SOPHOMORE season. There's a youtube clip of Quinn going to town on BC's Constonzo, making three huge plays with the last one of him being double teamed and still making a crucial play. Dude's a scary football player and while the year off is a concern he still did good at the combine. People here always wanted a Julius Peppers type pass rushing OLB, well this guy is it IMO.
  10. There's that, and theres also about a 95% chance that none of these 2-7th round guys will ever be as good as Ryan Fitzpatrick is right now. So it would be a wasted pick. If they want to take that 5% lottery ticket chance on Taylor in the 4th or 5th, then I wouldn't get crazy upset over something like that.
  11. This thing that I like and find interesting about this guy's "big board" is that he's completely off the map with regards to all the other draft experts' seemingly consensus opinions. Example Danny Watkins is listed as #14 and Marcell Dareus is listed at #15... http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/scouting_department.html I think this is what the real NFL teams draft boards look like. There are some guys that the experts have high that the teams don't, and vise versa.
  12. 1. Cam Newton - Let me preface this by saying that this pick is coming from not knowing much about his personality. If he's a jerk then I don't want him, if he's not and he's a dedicated and super-competitive guy wanting to be the Michael Jordan of football then it's go big or go home. IMO, we'll never be back in this position for another decade or so. The guy would learn professionalism and smart play under Fitzpatrick for a year. As much as I like Fitzpatrick a lot and think he can actually win us a Superbowl in two or three years when the team takes shape, I have to go with a potential franchise dynasty move for our team. It will suck not drafting for that defense though, ouch!!!! 2. Robert Quinn - I have a gut feeling he and Peterson will be neck and neck for who's the best defensive player from this draft. I've got to get pressure on the QB (and stop the run) and this is the all-purpose superstar guy for me. A bit risky, but there have been a rotation of about 10 guys mentioned in the top three positions. That means they all have question marks. 3. Patrick Peterson - Well except maybe for this guy, if Newton and Quinn are off the board (very doubtful Quinn is taken top two), then I would take Peterson the lock down solid pick of the draft. McKlevin is stupid and McGee is starting to get dinged up.
  13. Stay away from Blaine "The Bust" Gabbert. I'll post this again... Gabbert: #69 in QB rating 16TDs / 9 INTs (horrible numbers for a spread offense) 6.7 YPA 3rd and 8-10 yards: 3.25 YPA (that's worse than Trent Edwards) Newton: #2 in QB rating 30TDs / 7 iINTs (20 rushing TDs) 10.2 YPA 3rd and 8-10 yards: 12.5 YPA Please read "The Bad," we've seen enough of this kind of performance the last 10 years thank you... http://atomicteeth.fantake.com/2010/11/07/mizzoutexas-tech-post-mortem-time-to-jump/ Having a 3.25 YPA on 3rd and 8-10 says that to me that he won't be anybodies franchise guy let alone our beloved Buffalo Bills. This is worse than Trent Edwards and this was in his senior season of college! This guy so reeks of Joey Harrington, Alex Smith, JP Losman, Rick Mirer...well you get the point.
  14. Yet there's 55 people (Gabbert's current total) who apparently didn't get their fill of Trent Edwards and his magical 3 yard passes on 3rd and 8...LOL I'm truly amazed at the totals for Gabbert. I feel like Bills fans will have to consider relinquishing their "smartest fans in the league" cards soon with these poll results.
  15. Who's George Edwards?
  16. I love the idiot comments of people saying things like, "that's all he did?"...LOL Yes dumb people, just go ahead and refuse to turn down your car stereo when a cop tells you to. We need a 12th Edition of "COPS: Idiots on Parade" ...LOL
  17. I think Blaine Gappert is the biggest sham going and some team is going to ruin their franchise for the next 3-5 years picking him in the top 10. Ever hear of Alex Smith? Joey Harrington? JP Losman? Tim Couch? Rick Mirer? Gabbert: #69 in QB rating 16TDs / 9 INTs (horrible numbers for a spread offense) 6.7 YPA 3rd and 8-10 yards: 3.25 YPA (that's worse than Trent Edwards) Newton: #2 in QB rating 30TDs / 7 iINTs (20 rushing TDs) 10.2 YPA 3rd and 8-10 yards: 12.5 YPA I will be LMAO if the Panthers pick Gabbert. I found this random link that was shocking in it's descriptions of Gabbert: http://atomicteeth.fantake.com/2010/11/07/mizzoutexas-tech-post-mortem-time-to-jump/ "• Gabbert has to be the worst third down quarterback in college. One of 12. Throw in an 0 for 2 on fourth downs and you get the feeling why it never really felt like the Tigers were going to get back in it once down by 7. • Texas Tech did not get any appreciable pressure on Gabbert, yet he was running around scared all night. Gabbert got sacked once. • 12 of 30 passing. Remember when we could liken Gabbert’s accuracy to that of pre-Okie State Chase Daniel? Now he’s more like Ricky Vaughn. • 3.2 yards per passing attempt. • Under 100 yards passing against the 117th ranked passing defense." Yikes!!!! So yes, I've heard of him enough to not want him any where near the Buffalo Bills unless he's on the opposing sideline…LOL
  18. I read somewhere where the failure rate of 2nd round QBs is around 85%. Just sayin'. BTW, I think the only QB who will end up being a better NFL quarterback than Ryan Fitzpatrick when all is said and done is Cam Newton. Spending a second round pick on this rag tag group (remember 85%) would be throwing a high pick away IMO. I'd like them getting Tyrod Taylor in the fourth.
  19. When it comes to Ryan Fitzpatrick, you're all about lies, BS, manipulation...LOL Let me ask you something, if the Panthers take Newton (which I think they will), what do you want the Bills to do to rectify the QB position? Seriously, what is your plan? Who do you take or try to get? Stop with the Fitzpatrick bashing and get down to who you want for the Bills future elite, franchise QB? Have you even addressed this yet? We get that you don't like Fitzpatrick and you don't think he's the answer. Stop with the passive aggressive stuff about liking Fitzpatrick then beating him in the head a few times the rest of the paragraphs and tell us who you want!!!!!
  20. Everyone has their favorites. I could change my mind and go back to Fairley. I've changed my mind a few times already...LOL I just like the look of Quinn. He just seems to fit all of the requirements (except the one that he didn't play last season). He's big (we're looking to get bigger, right?), he looks great in the clips I've seen of him, he's got those long arms you look for in a pass rusher, natural deep bending moves, he seems like a serious and mature kid who has his head on straight, he's a football player and not a guy looking to be celebrity, he would help out both the pass and rush defense. Like I said though, I'd be very happy with Fairley, I'm just a little worried about the "serious, mature, professional, put the necessary work in" football attitude with him.
  21. Some team will trade up for Gabbert at some point in this draft. Will it be us trading out? The Bengals if they don't like him? The Browns trading back? There are just too many teams in need of a QB in and around the top ten picks, that a trade up for Gabbert is almost certain to happen at some point. My dream draft would be the Bills trading back and still having the opportunity to take Robert Quinn. If they stay at #3, I'd be very happy with Quinn or Fairley and I'd live with the Peterson pick.
  22. 1. I was reading a Carolina forum and I get the distinct feeling that the skids are being greased for Cam Newton. 2. There's almost a 100% chance that the Broncos will select Dareus. This is a very hard decision. For me, I'm picking from the group of Fairley, Quinn, Peterson, Miller, Green and Jones. These are true "impact" type guys. My gut feeling is that Quinn is going to be a star at the next level, he's a passionate football player, he has his head on straight, and he helps us in both the run and pass defense. I know his bust factor is higher than Peterson's and Green's, but I have to go with my gut for this pick, Robert Quinn. Who do you pick (doesn't have to be from my group) if those two are gone?...
  23. That's right, it was 2004. Drew Brees was a pretty bad QB until his 29th start which was the first game of the 2004 season (River's rookie year). It was literally as if a light turned on in his head... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BreeDr00/gamelog//'>http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BreeDr00/gamelog// I see Fitzpatrick as having that same kind of "light being turned on" moment in his 28th start which was the second to last game of 2009. Not as dramatic as Brees, but dramatic none the less... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/B/BreeDr00/gamelog//
  24. I gave you 7 real categories, and you gave me 3 real ones. I won the argument. We're cool...just stop making stuff up or you'll get called out for it.
  25. I guess we no longer have to wonder about what ever happened to Keith Olbermann...LMAO
