My rule then - changed somewhat now due to 17 - is that I tried to tell myself not to get excited about the team until they had 5 wins - and then see where we were at in the season. Usually was pretty good at keeping my emotions in check. But that 31-0 drubbing was FUN.

Totally different situation. Diggs is a drama queen. Cook, al least to this point, has not been. He is a top 10 RB in a world that no longer pays top dollar for RB performance. The Bills know this. Cook knows this. His Agent knows this. All sides are doing what is in their best interest. It appears Cook is trying to tip toe on that line between his best interest and the teams best interest. I cant fault him for this AT ALL. Add in that Cook is not irreplaceable - and it's far from a given he will continue to be a top 10 RB - and this situation is just bad. Naturally, I hope is is on the field too. Best case for everyone is he comes back on his current deal, runs for 2,000 yards and get a Lombardi and a massive pay-day. But I think more realistically - unless he agrees to take a more moderate deal - I see this dragging out and impacting the season. Unfortunately.

Him and Bosa can sit on the sidelines until December.

its crazy how expensive this is now. What I dont understand is that I can watch almost any Big10 or SEC game every weekend on some channel. Yet im stuck shelling out ridiculous sums to watch the Bills. It's gotten out of control. Not trying to brag here - but I have more then enough disposable income where the amount isn't an issue...I just cant justify paying that much. Who the heck is paying this???

Good trade all around. He was done here. No way to revive him. At the same time, he is a former first round pick. Worth a shot by Dallas. Similar reason I liked the swing on Justin Shorter (although not a first rounder, former 5 star recruit). these kinda guys have potential...but usually they dont work out. But its a lottery ticket IMO.

He is just a DE in a DT body. His legs are like twigs. his Center of Gravity has to be somewhere around his chest. He clearly was productive against good competition. If he can do the same in the NFL, that will be VERY impressive. I almost wonder if the better answer isn't to have him lose 30 pounds and put him at DE. Such an intriguing and risky pick. Really an unusual player.
