Ya know...I think we are more likely to get a republican in 08 than we are on tuesday. Possible 08 GOP candidates Guliani McCain Powell Schwartzzeneger (if constitution ammended, i hope it isn't) Pataki That is a powerful group of guys. Guliani and Pataki Can bring in NY (plus the normal conservative base). Swartz can reign in CA. McCain is a beast and I think its his to lose if he wants it. Powell is the best all around candidate, but I doubt he wants it. Others possible: Sen Allen, Condeleeza Rice & Tom Ridge. Contrast that with the Democrats Hillary & the same bunch of duds we had in this election. Best candidate IMO is Gov. Mark Warner of Virginia. Other reasonable candidates: Harold Ford Jr, Gov. Rendell and Barack Obama (though he needs to prove himself a little more) All in all, the GOP has a better crop of upcoming presidential candidates.

Drew did very little to help us win this game despite the score. McGahee and McGee really steped up. Drew did a good job today Not Losing the game today. Which is sometimes all you can ask for.

Sure his stuff is right wing, that doesnt make it any more or less wrong. You KNOW he is right wing and can filter out the propaganda from the news, and its very easy to do with drudge

For what its worth, I told a good friend of mine (who is undecided) about the bin laden tape. He has been leaning bush because of judicial appointees, but little else. When I told him about the tape, he responded with the attitude of "It makes me feel better that they hate bush, he must be doing something right". I know that is a very small sample, but I wanted to share my experience with this issue.

This looks like a pretty bad electoral map to me. It only uses the latest poll. Try realclearpolitics or even better (IMO) http://geekmedia.org/tradesports/ which is a market average.

I dont know why people keep trying to discredit drudge. What has he done to get this kind of rep? He publishes a story and then links to REAL news stories. He has been on top of virtually everything in the past week, and he gets news hours (sometimes days) ahead of other outlets. I just dont understand the general distrust of drudge.

Yet, iraq posed no threat of terrorism, and did not have weapons of mass destruction (whatever 380 tons of highly dangerous explosives is...), and sadam did not need to be taken out of power. It was the wrong war at the wrong time. We should have let sadam have those 380 tons of weapons at his disposal. You guys are amazing.

Okay, believe what you want to believe. I saw this being reported on both foxnews and msnbc already. It will break hard tomorrow i am sure. NBC was evidently THERE when troops arrived and these weapons were already gone. We'll jsut let this play out since neither of us really has enough info to have a logical debate on this topic. But it does look like kerry jumped the gun to make this a high profile issue today.

The OVERWHELMING consensus when JP was drafted is that he was very raw and very immature. He would need 2-3 seasons of riding the pine before stepping on the field. Then he broke his leg. Now people want to start him and expect roth type numbers? Get out of town. Now Matthews, there is an idea I can get behind. But losman? Maybe give him a cup of coffee here and there, but thats aobut it.

Thank god you live in Ct! While I agree W is not your typical conservative and I disagree with him on MANY issues, a vote for a conservative candidate (Lib. party) would go further to show your point. Also, voting for kerry because bush is not conservative enough is a JOKE. Even a moderate bush is better for the country. There could be up to FOUR supreme court vacancies in the next 4 years. Help us all if kerry puts 4 more ginsbergs on there. On my 2 major issues (terrorism and courts), bush wins hands down. Now if only we could get him to stop spending like a drunken sailor in the phillipines....

I have a hard time faulting him because nearly every move he has made I supported at the time, and continue to support (with the exception of GW). I like the personnel on this team, though we need to do something with our offense. Obviously reciever wasnt the problem like we thought it was. Drew needs TIME. Either we give him time or find a quarterback who can help himself a little. I am off the drew bandwagon and think he should be gone. Start matthews and see what happens. If nothing else, it should give us better insight as to exactly what the problem is.

early in the 2nd round, it depends on who is left on the board. CB is a possibility. Safety is a possibility. DE and TE are possibilities. (Never shoulud have let riemersma go). AND if that kicker (cant remember his name) is around, possibly Kicker (as much as i would hate to). Also if a good LB is around, its a possibility if our need positions are gone. LB depth would be good, and a possible posey replacement. And of course OL. So to make a long story short(er), we take the best player available. Duh. Too bad we dont have a first because it would make watching these games at least a little easier to swallow.

Nascar has confirmed they have spoken with Rick Hendrick, so he was not on the plane...But this is still a HUGE loss for the auto racing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire hendrick family and the racing community.
