Back in 98... I was hanging out in a dorm room of an all girl school in Raleigh, NC. We were talking about how my GF's roommate kept wearing her underwear. Which wasn't cool because her roommate had crabs. But anyway, the name detoxsmurf came to me from out of nowhere. I thought that would be a cool IM name. I've used it as my handle ever since.

I'd like to know what you consider a "good" sports talk host. Would you prefer those idiots in NYC who think the Giants and Jets are the best teams in the NFL. Howard is a blue collar guy who went to school here. Openly jokes about his non athletic ability and balding head. I've lived and traveled all over the United States and can say that Buffalo is lucky to have a guy like that. Put him next to Jimmy B and you can see how good he really is.

Great, now there is a 4 way tie for the big east conference title. After the new rankings come out, none of these teams will even be nationally ranked.

Something my 16 year old step-sister does after school. Kind of like an online journal. You write about your most personal thoughts and act surprised when half the school knows about your private life.

I developed my own live linux server a few years back. The OS is on a CD and runs in memory. Even if someone did an exploit for virtual root and managed to upload some sort of rootkit, a simple reboot of the computer and its gone. But on the safe side, I do write the log files to a backup machine I have.

My school has most proxies blocked, so what I do is VNC into my home computer and surf from there.

I have a Jackson PS-2 guitar. I turned the middle pickup off and installed a George Lynch Screaming Demon pickup on it. It has a small 24 fret fretboard which I really like. I am a big fan of Kerry King from slayer and need something i can play fast. I play through a Marshall and have an array of pedals. Basically, I have it set up for a Van Halen I or Randy Rhodes type of sound. Heavy on the overdrive and use a chorus to give it a bigger feel. I use a phase shifter on all my solos.

I have 200 or so more to go. I should be there by Christmas.

Rivers does not fit into the San Diego type of offense. For those who watched him in college, he performs his best in the shotgun airing the ball out. He would be a great fit in St Louis. I think Rivers has some trade value and they could get a 1st rounder for him. Two teams that are looking for a QB are Dallas (who we all know has two number 1 picks) and San Francisco.

Yeah, powder beverages are ok. Things may have changed a bit but this is what I remember won't get past customs. 1) Porked based products. 2) any religious material other than Islam 3) porn, although you can sneak a centerfold in a regular letter. I'll put it this way... my step dad use to work for the IRS and my grandfather is a lawyer that does a lot of taxes. If there was any loopholes, I'm sure one of them would have found it by now.

When I was on active duty I had two roommates that were from south central Los Angeles. Ironically, both hated gangsta rap. One of my roommates Rob had knife scars all over his body. One day we got on the subject of gansta rap and his views on it. He said rap groups like NWA were, "studio gangstas" with no real street credibility. Rap is entertainment and should be viewed as such.

The NBA has fallen down to the level of nascar. You have your die hard fans, but most people just don't care. Blame it on the Michael Jordan era, where the league threw traveling out of the rule books and embraced showboating. Too bad these kids didn't learn anything else from MJ. I doubt he would have jumped into the stands and punched a fan.
