  1. I've seen bad slates of games before, but this might take the cake: 1 PM: DEN @ KC HOU @ JAX CLE @ CIN 4PM: SD @ OAK BUF @ STL
  2. NJSue homework thread!
  3. Carl Cheffers is a new referee. He was a SB-caliber umpire for years and was just recently promoted with the retirements of Larry Nemmers and Gerry Austin. That being said, the crew today was horrid.
  4. I'm actually up on the week, and about at the break even point for YTD... have mine in OAKBX.
  5. I second... I wonder what Carl and Sammy would think.
  6. You know, Pats* fans think that the reason why other NFL fans hate them is because they're envious of their success. Yet that isn't it for me. It's stuff like this: http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patrio...ad.php?t=127407 I don't even hail from Buffalo (I was born in Binghamton, spent nearly all of childhood in Poughkeepsie, and went to college in Troy and Ithaca), and comments like that upset me. I've been to various parts of this country and I still come back to the folks of WNY as being some of the most genuine, down to earth people I've ever spent time with. Discuss.
  7. No props to Tasker at all, in fact I'd consider it one of his worst performances. He kept calling the JAX RBs "Fred Jones" and "Maurice Taylor". Add that to the blatently anti-Buffalo commentary on his part and it's getting extremely tiresome.
  8. I won't soon forget it. Happened my senior year of high school. Kids were calling their parents who worked in the city to see if they were ok. Cell phone lines were completely jammed. My government teacher's husband died in the attack.
  9. Gotta love the poll question: Will J.P. be the Bills' starting quarterback by season's end?
  10. Yet it doesn't seem like 10 years ago, does it?
  11. I believe Cowher's main previous experience was special teams coach.
  12. Yeah it's going to be nice to walk into work tomorrow.
  13. I was thinking they should call Vinny.
  14. - O-line's amazing performance is putting a lot of pressure on Peters. - Schonert makes Fairchild look like a fool. Excellent play calling so far. - Not converting in the red zone looks like a continuing theme from last year...
  15. This is why: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2363/170274..._71c9a69c98.jpg What a joke.
  16. Crayonz.... I KIND OF LIKE CAPRI SUN, THOUGH I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET IT TO GIVE HEAD. BELIEVE ME, I'VE TRIED LIKE A MOTHER _______!
  17. - Seattle Center (EMP, Sci-Fi museum, Space Needle) are decent. - Pike Place if you want to do shopping. - The Mariners are terrible this year, but visiting Safeco Field is an experience in and of itself. - Boeing tour is up in Everett. - St. Helens is about 150 miles away. Rainier is closer, and if you plan on driving, is a more scenic drive if you follow the SR-410 route. - Satruday or Sunday brunch at Salty's in West Seattle is an absolute must. - I would highly recommend Hurricane Ridge out in the Olympics. It's out by Port Angeles, and is a day trip, but the scenery is awesome. And if you're really into hiking/climbing, try your luck by climbing Mt. Si or Mailbox Peak.
  18. You can now get a Bills-themed DirecTV remote: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/conte...ssetId=P4820004 I have the Harmony 880, so I'll be taking a pass, but it looks halfway decent.
  19. Who actually likes pop-up windows? I find the "back" button a lot easier to use than to have to deal with an additional window. If I want a separate window, I can just right-click the link and "Open in a new tab".
  20. I have an HTC (Sprint) Touch. It's 240x320.
  21. Hmm... I absolutely hate Mexican food (with the exception of churros), so I'm "one of those people" as well.
  22. Yeah ORD and ATL are horrible hubs. I fly non-stop whenever possible/feasible. Decent alternatives are DFW (AA), IAH (CO), SLC (DL) and DEN (UA) during the summer. DFW, with its new trAAin behind security, is actually a pleasant place to connect through.
  23. Location may indicate risk, but that doesn't mean branch locations are immune. I had my number stolen from a skimming device attached to an ATM inside my credit union: http://seattle.metblogs.com/2008/02/02/tro...-at-first-tech/ I'd drop these clowns in an instant, but they manage all the ATM locations at work... so unless I want to pay hefty fees I am screwed.
  24. Evidently the winter of 2006 escaped your mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGnOHg8KU_I...feature=related Of course, if you listened to Ron Sims, 3 snowplows for all of King County are too many!
  25. I dunno, I've always liked Mazia's out in Clarence.
