  1. YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME. if we punted that ball, appliances were going to be pulled out of the wall. all we needed was for fitz to fall forward to seal the deal. thankfully it never got to that point.
  2. ...was the only game we've lost it's amazing how worthless analyzing the schedule is before the season starts.
  3. 3 years ago. bills started 5-1, sabres started 6-0-2. both teams flopped. but the difference this time around is night and day, IMO.
  4. I'm not a big PC guy whatsoever, but I feel compelled to comment here. I don't really see how your bolded statement has any merit or place in a discussion. I'm of the pessimistic brand regarding the Bills, and my mental health is in tip-top shape. I watch the games and call them as I see them, and for the last 10 years, good things would happen and then everything would come crashing down to Earth. I really fail to see how people who are skeptical of the 4-1 Bills can be labeled as those "needing therapy". The comment itself isn't offensive or anything like that, but what makes you correct and me (and others) incorrect? I don't know how many others I speak for, but my opinions regarding the Bills are completely 100% independent from anything else in my life. To imply anything to the contrary is pretty !@#$ing ignorant.
  5. that sounds like a spin job to me. we faced jamaal charles, darren mcfadden, the pats - who got a big lead and tried running the call (22 carries), cedric benson, and now mccoy/vick. the strength of those teams, save for the pats, is running the ball is it not?
  6. right. the jets bad record is due to their defense, and not their **** QB and awful offense.. c'mon man.
  7. fine, i obviously agree the ends are weaker than the middle, of course they are. but people are in here making excuses for williams' lack of production and they're not really giving me much other than, "uhh because he's awesome" and "he's a pro-bowler". no, Kyle is not the "problem" on this defense, but doesn't mean he can't be playing much, much better.
  8. if you can go back and read what you just wrote, and honestly tell me you believe it, than you're completely out of your !@#$ing mind.
  9. i see the analogy you're trying to make but it's off. the jets defense is typically awesome, our defense is garbage. SOMEONE has to be sucking on our defense in order for it to be so bad (#29 against the run), whereas in New York, Revis is a part of a top 5 pass offense.
  10. lol whatever. the opposing o-line coaches are probably saying "we can run AND pass on them?!?!, what should we do first!!" Williams is a nice player, but his production and impact is way down. it's a cause for concern big time.
  11. can you stop talking down to me like i'm some simpleton? thanks for clarifying that nose tackles don't have 4.2 speed - this is completely new information to me. a guy earlier in this thread essentially made it seem that Williams deserves a pass because he was a !@#$ing pro-bowler a season ago. and i think that sucks. i don't care if teams run away from Williams - he's still not in on enough plays and is sure as !@#$ not earning his new pay check. he's rarely causing pressure on the QB and his tackles are obviously way down. his production is a fraction of what it was last year and he needs to pick it up - that's all. i mean, are you serious? they have 1 combined sack and are ranked 29th against the run. what part of that is "good"?
  12. lol unbelievable. you're absolutely right - i'm completely clueless and have no idea what i'm talking about. i'm completely blown away by kyle williams' fantastic 5 game performance. i don't know what's better - the 4 tackles, the 0 sacks, the 1 tackle for loss, or the fact that he spearheads the 29th run defense. surely he's a pro-bowl favorite again this year!
  13. he was a pro-bowler last year - who gives a ****? he's been invisible all year. he and dareus combined for a whopping 0 tackles today. kyle has 4 solo tackles all year. are you really trying to tell me that there isn't something wrong there?
  14. cool. i want you to refute anything i said. they outgained the **** out of us, and we were catching INTs off of players' feet. it was ridiculous.
  15. no kidding, it's a joke really. maybe the worst 4th quarter i've seen offensively and defensively in years. and the homer crowd is SERIOUSLY pumping their chest and saying "i told you so"? are you serious? it's as if gailey's gameplan was "let the eagles win" and the players almost executed it to perfection. it's an absolute shock we won that game. sure i'm excited we're 4-1, but i barely take this team seriously.
  16. you simply can't expect a linebacker to stop vick in the open field. hell, i wouldn't expect pat willis to make that play.
  17. there's not much more to say other than you're wrong. dareus has outplayed williams through 4 games. it's a concern.
  18. lol he "caught" him from behind? are you serious? it's JOE FLACCO. am i actually supposed to be impressed here?
  19. lol i love your sarcasm, thanks. it's pathetic that "teams are game planning for him" is enough to completely neutralize a player. if that's your argument, what does that say about williams?
  20. lol wrong. a kindergardener could've made the play. whether or not you think us bills fans have a desire to diminish maybin's sack/fumble is irrelevant. the bottomline is that there was nothing to it. flacco ran like a wounded giraffe in maybin's direction and the ball was knocked loose.
  21. interesting point. definitely something to be concerned about. it really is shocking how few plays he's made compared to last year.
  22. you joined the board in 2009 and gave yourself the name BLEDSOE1QB? wtf?
