  1. ugh, it's just too early for this. has bad karma written all over it.
  2. it's gotten a lot harder to key in on what spots we need. is the solid o-line play just a flash in the pan? is merriman's lack of pass rush also only temporary? i'd say 1. T 2. pass rusher 3. DB (hopefully just CB if searcy pans out)
  3. jesus christ dude - never once did i key in on a specific person/poster. you're grasping here. on what planet is "idiot" some horrifically insulting word?
  4. no one wants their personal life attacked. no one. it's crossing the line, message board or not.
  5. lolol that's the most pathetic retort i've read in my entire life. as if my prediction of a 6-8 win Bills season has ANYTHING to do with my real life. "little respect or control in real life"?? i have a beautiful fiance, a 3.9 in grad school, and an awesome friend/family base. you can go !@#$ yourself.
  6. lol where the !@#$ did i say that? the people on here are regular people like you and i. football and sports in general is a huge part of many of our lives, and if one is delusional enough to predict SUPER BOWL type of bull **** for the 2002-2010 Buffalo Bills, than I question your head is at. bottomline.
  7. right, so no one directly. if you were predicting 11-5 last year, let's just say i'm sure as !@#$ not going to be coming to you for financial/business/life advice. keep pounding your head i guess. you have 2 groups of people calling each other idiots. while arguing the same points, one group has been right on for 10 years, the other has been dead !@#$ing wrong. so who's the idiot?
  8. yea, not exactly. the idiots are the group who predict 11-5 and then call you an idiot for disagreeing. this has been going on for a decade - i've been here the whole time.
  9. haha idk man, but i definitely was guilty of getting "swept up" and certainly still am, but the cowboys collapse and mckelvin's fumble took a lot out of me. now, my expectations are a bit lower until i see some proof on the field. i'm a superfan like the rest of this board, and get emotionally invested to the point i feel like i'm about to stroke out (see this past Sunday) - but in times like last year when the team is really bad, i just tune them out and remember there are other things in life. getting super jacked up and then super down just doesn't do it for me, i'd rather keep an even keel. i don't think i've insulted anyone directly, have i?
  10. lol whatever man. in my world, a 15 game win streak is a 15 game win streak. and they're operating as efficiently as they ever have.
  11. That's where you have it wrong - I'm enjoying it a great deal. I think this team is definitely on the up and the Oakland win is not a game the '09 or '10 Bills would've won. With that said, I'm not blowing my wad yet over an 2-0 start, especially when you're about to face the game's best player who has OWNED you for 8 years and is setting records with his early season performance. For me, it's just about having realistic and tempered expectations - that's all. When I see that we "should" beat the Pats and "should" go 12-4, I naturally assume the person is A. suffering from the complex/effect discussed above, or B. 14 years old. Wrong. Maybe for some people that's the case, but not for me - not my style. My predicting is simply a product of what I see and what I know. Is it possible that an offense put together by journeymen, URFAs, and 7th rounder can lead a top 5 unit to a 11-5 record? - sure. Is it likely? - god no. You're making an assumption that I like predicting a 6-8 win season. That's just not true at all.
  12. San Diego??? how on earth are they a lock? counting out the raiders, who swept their division last year, would be a mistake.
  13. lol what a joke this is. the guy isn't sitting here saying he hates the bills and wants us to lose, he's simply making a prediction that is COMPLETELY ON POINT WITH WHAT THE LAST 15 PATRIOT GAMES HAVE SHOWN US.
  14. there's a huge flaw in your logic - why get so built up with expectations and the consequent disappointment in the first place? why not temper the expectations until there's actual proof this team can handle the pats or jets? i don't think he's being a smart ass - i think he's calling it like he sees it, and if you've been in the "the bills will struggle" camp, you've been on point much more often than the misinformed homers. every god damn year there's a bunch of idiots predicting a playoff spot, and every year we're not even in the ballgame come december. i'm willing to bet these are the same people now calling for a 12-4 season. it's truly unreal. that dunning-kruger effect is on the !@#$ing money.
  15. a point that needs to be echoed over and over and over again this week on this board. because goddamn, if we lose convincingly, it's gunna feel like the end of the world on here.
  16. also, the OP says, "i expect to get pounded by the Pats", and then gets ripped a new !@#$. why? i know this is a bills board, and 95% of the people here are raging homers, but what evidence to we have to the contrary? yes this is a different, new, fun team - but i'll believe we can beat the pats, after we beat the !@#$ing pats. there's really no gray area here.
  17. i pretty much agree with the OP at this point. there's a lot to be excited about, but expectations are ALREADY getting out of control. for me, i'll be able to access things better at the bye week. if we're 4-2 or better, i think it'll be much easier to buy in. new england, philly, and @ NYG are TOUGH games - the old bills would lose all 3, let's see how this squad does.
  18. 12-4? damn. i'll say 8-8. 10-6 if there are no big injuries, and we stay in the top 10 in offense and scoring.
  19. well if you can get a 4th for freddy, fitz, stevie, and dareus you gotta take it. so that would give us 6 4th rounders, which maybe we can convert into a 3rd.
  20. sabres analogy: it kind of reminds me of the maturation of nate gerbe. gerbe, while not a bluechipper like spiller, KILLED it in college. everyone knew he had game, but people feared he was too small, and many wrote him off altogether. but sure enough, the game started slowing down for him, and he was one of the sabres best players in 2011. spiller is similar in my mind. a gamebreaker in college due to his speed, you HAD to think he would need time to adjust. let's hope today's game is just the beginning.
  21. for being #1 in sacks, blah blah blah...the raiders defense is !@#$ing terrible.
