Freirmuth had a Bengals guy in front of him when Aaron release that ball. Still got behind him. -

Flacco is just firing the ball quickly and mostly accurate. good stuff! Higgins with the impressive RAC. -

Chase TD, Flacco doing what they brought him in for. Getting the ball out of his hand quickly to Chase. -

Probably why they brought him in. To target Chase and Tee 20 times per game with some accurate throws. -

Oh man, Flacco got the ball out to Brown and he dropped it. Would’ve gotten like 25 yards. -

I don’t think i’ve seen Aaron buy that much time in years. Nice 3 man rush there Cinci. -

Tomlin hates that Cleveland traded Flacco to a division rival. -
Look, the Allen that went crazy last season in a 4 game stretch vs KC, SF, LAR and Det did not lose his skills in one offseason. Maybe it was because Dion and the Oline were openly trying to get him the MVP? and Allen himself put pressure on himself to make plays and limit mistakes. But whatever it was, they were an exciting and aggressive group last season. So far this year the Oline seems less aggressive, they are struggling with some pass blocking protections, and Josh is not bailing everyone out with spectacular runs and throwing on the run. Hopefully they break all that down in the bye week and get back to playing like they are capable.

Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??
zow2 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching the Bills defense vs great RBs Derrick Henry and Bijan this season was just gross. They made the D look slow, small and gap integrity is not even in their vocabulary. I'm not sure how McDermott fixes that but he has to. I don't trust Babich to get that fixed. -
Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
zow2 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane traded for Cooper last season, there was negligible payoff and the man was injured seemingly 5 minutes after he got to Buffalo. I don't know if he is thinking about trading for another WR or Safety? But Beane needs to plug everything in to GM brain...and think about his speech at the podium after the Bills win the SB. And during that imaginary speech... which player(s) he brought in at the deadline that made a massive difference on this ball club to get them over the hump. It shouldn't be someone on the very back end of his productivity, and it can't be someone who has not shown durability. If he finds the right guy that thinks he can get us over the hump then pull the trigger and trade the draft assets and/or players necessary. We're wasting time. -
It's such a weird move to re-sign all the ex-Bills that were deemed expendable because they were not good enough.

I root for Coleman, I thought he'd be pretty good. While he's not a burner as we all know, I figured he'd be someone like Keenan Allen. A taller guy that knows how to use his body and has enough football IQ to get open and make himself available for the QB when things go off script. Clearly he is nowhere close to that as of today.

Would you want to see Josh play hardball with the organization?
zow2 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I don't necessarily need Josh to play hardball off the field. I would like to see him play hardball on the field. He's a good guy, but a little more fire would be nice. I mean we've seen Mahomes ranting and raving during games, pacing up and down the sidelines hyping guys up or even shouting if things aren't going way. We've certainly seen that trait from Brady, Manning and some of the greats. They get in guys faces sometimes. I'd like to see Allen rip Keon a new one sometime! Prob will never happen. -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
zow2 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
As others have said, the management must have come into the season thinking they are so good with Allen that the Bills can manipulate games... D can force turnovers, then bend but don't break while they work in some rookies... O can plow them over with our offensive line, run at will, quick passes, keep Josh safe planted in the pocket...30+ points per game. then get the 1 seed easily and unleash the entire playbook in January. Yeah we all know NFL football doesn't work that way. -
The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QB
zow2 replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like this thread, as it's been a topic I have talked about over the last few years. Unpopular opinion but I don't think Allen is a great pocket passer. I never have. To me he's just not accurate enough and he's sometimes a bit slow to read the coverages. If they have a play where it's 1, 2, 3.. back foot down, ball thrown quickly it's usually good. But if the coverage is disguised he has trouble. Don't get me wrong, he's still good from the pocket, just not elite,,, like Brady, Manning, Burrow, etc.. To me, Allen separates himself into an MVP QB because of what he does when he moves his feet.. When he's throwing on the run, moving around, scrambling and finding a guy downfield. that is magic. When he rolls out and take the 7 yard gain out of bounds, that's fine. When he takes off and runs, it can change the game. To the main point of this thread, turning him into a pocket QB is going to not go well. Teams have started blitzing like crazy, and it's already taking away from his ability to move around as the pocket caves in. I think his chance of injury is greater in the pocket rather than getting out of there.
