That's right. Have to start at the OL which needs improvement. If Ferguson is there at #8, and Nick Mangold is there in the second round, I think these two would be good picks for the Bills. A DT pick up in free agency might be a good idea. Ryan Pickett and hopefully Ted Washington would be good options.
At specific times the wide receivers that TD took in the draft were highly regarded in college. Some of those picks weren't needs for our team and eventually it cost the Bills. I think Marv will do what he can to keep Moulds in Buffalo.
Somehow I think this looks realistic except for the part about the Jets. If the Pennington is going to be fine I think they will take Ferguson at #4. If SI's draft works out is it really possible that the 49ers will take Ferguson?
I thought he was coming around the corner last year. He had a 34 yard run against Oakland in the later part of the season and he looked like he had some of that strength back.
Letting these two walk is correct. They need fresh starts somewhere else, especially Josh Reed. Trey Teague will find a job with just about anyone, but probably as a backup. These two were TD's picks, and Marv has his own plan.
There are some good upgrades in your offseason, but the offensive line still looks suspect. If Bentley is not going to sign with the Bills, I think it would be a good move to go after the Nick Mangold from Ohio State in the second round.
I'd like to see JP get an offensive line that will block for him up front. If that happens and he's not making the right decisions then I think we have something to worry about.
Some have mentioned Reggie Wayne. I wouldn't mind him. Joe Jurevicius is a hard working wide receiver but his chances of staying in Seattle are probably better than him coming to play in Buffalo.
Somehow, I think Daunte will stay with the Vikings. If Brad Johnson gets hurt for any reason they are going to want Daunte just in case. Also there is a lot of upside with Daunte. He's still a young QB who has a lot of potential. If he is traded I would have thought it would have been to a team like Detroit where they play in a dome.
Lots of reasons to feel good about whats happening. It starts when we franchise Clements. After that, hopefully we'll keep Moulds and then it's on the draft.
I think he is a great player in the making as long as he stays healthy. But if Moulds can restructure his contract, I think we'll have two very good wide receivers. I think that if you put Evans as a #1 and Moulds as a #2, I think we have something here. But when it's all said and done we need to first have an offensive line that can pass block
With Marv at the GM position, the offensive line will be our first priority. He understands the weakness in this football team and it is good that he will be addressing this need right away.
At the time, he was a new kicker. I know I was saying at the time that this guy wasn't that good, and I'm glad he's one of the guys that perservered and became a pro bowler. The positive that I remember about Shayne that season was that he made a 45 yarder against Jacksonville that season to get our first win of the 2001-2002 season.
