Teams with cap room who overpay in free agency usually do AWESOME. I know we were excited by the prospect of Jones but the dude is getting Tre money and his production is not what it used to be. He had 10.5 sacks last year, which is good. 5 came in a single game though. Bills do desperately need a pass rusher but they are against the cap and a lot of teams had a lot more money to burn.

If they do add someone, it will be good for 2 TE sets. When Boettger went down, he was starting. And they tendered Bates. Saffold is an upgrade at guard and saves cap $$. They need more depth and should be able to find it. I bet they add one more swiss army knife guy like Feleciano and then draft someone to bring along at guard in 1-2 years. All upgrades, with no offense to Phillips who late in the year played better. This is the second biggest hole in the roster. Beane needs to get on this in FA because draft prob won't have answers. Replacing a backup LB who hardly ever played isn't hard. I wish McD was less stubborn about playing 2 LBs. This is the biggest hole on the team. Tre coming off ACL + no Levi. Or that they can find guys like Levi in FA or the draft. Given that he's always been a borderline starter, this seems right. The real question is Tre's status for next year. Wallace is replaceable. Tre is not.

Levi was always fighting for that starting job at CB2. Solid player but benefitted from Poyer, Hyde, Tre, Taron, Milano, Edmunds...a LOT of coverage help. He's replaceable but it's annoying to have a hole to fill.

They needed guard help. They got guard help. Now they don't have to rush Boettger back from his achilles or plug in a draft pick before he's ready. Bills guards last year were pretty crappy for most of the season. Boettger and Bates were good later but they still need help at that position.

Yeah that's the truth. We have one left. Good RAV4 Hybrid. Most boring car on planet earth short of a Camry. A solid car for my 20 year old. No fun but reliable and good MPGs (40). I just got a diesel Wrangler where I'm hoping its fun offsets its terrible reliability. Wife has the Chevy Bolt that we got for a song with the fed rebate, Costco membership, and dealer deal during Covid. That car can't corner for crap and the interior is boring but it is fun to push the go pedal on an EV car, even a Chevy.
