What Bills' collectible(s) do you value the most?
ndirish1978 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My Thurman Thomas Super Rookie card. I have treasured that thing since the day I had it. I guess i't been about 24 years, wow. -
PFT says Marino is out officially. Of all those shows the only one I like is Dexter. Watching it on CBS is just sad though, feels like buying an edited rap album at Walmart. If you ARE listing all the series though, isn't the Tudors due one more season?

Forget Whitner- I guarantee the playoffs
ndirish1978 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well there are so many doom and gloom people on here I thought it might be nice to register them here, like we register other criminals. -
Have you SEEN the LBs coming out in the draft next year? I have 3 guys (2 USC LBs and Laurinitis) who could all be top 10 picks. Tender Crowell as an RFA and then extend him the next season. If we stand to lose him we take someone in the draft, though we'd have to trade up for them since we're making the playoffs.

I guarantee a playoff berth. I'll bet my profile picture and signature line that we make them. We don't make the playoffs and you can change my sig or picture to whatever you feel like, as long as it won't get me banned from here, for 6 months. Feel like making a fun message board bet? Similarly, when I win, I get to change your sig/picture for the same amount of time.

Anything with that song from Rudy gets a 5 stars from me!

There's always the possibility that they are TRYING to get the other 2 deals done at the same time as these others and Evans/Peters are simply taking a tougher stance and taking longer to sign

Guess for best proformance as a bill next year

Lynch will up his ypc by at least .4 this year -
It was not only a gun, it was apparently a POWERFUL gun. When I read the title I immediately thought DB stood for douchebag and hoped it was Tom Brady getting arrested

I agree, college football is the way to go if you really want to have fun at a game. You want to stand the whole game? Make your way to the student section and you get booed for sitting down. Why not just have a standing section in pro stadiums as well, like in the lower part of the endzone. Make that change and offer those with season tickets there who want to sit all game tickets just to the side of the section. Cause I'm sorry, but it's just as annoying when an entire section is standing and one jagoff has to sit there whining to everyone. You guys act like standing the whole game is a bad thing, that's just ridiculous.

Who said we wanted to ruin the CFL? We are providing them with quality players!

Agreed. I was very hopeful with this signing. I do hope he comes out of his active duty safely.

I heard the police officer he dragged for 2 blocks on the side of his car is working in the pit crew? Is that true? Here's to the days when Moss was hitting people with his car and not Marshawn

Aaron Schobel on Sirius NFL Blitz
ndirish1978 replied to NY Nole's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You should change your moniker to #2 fan. Cause half of your comments dump on the team! Seriously though, when we get platitudes everyone complains that people are boring, but I would rather hear this bland stuff than have players complaining that the offense needs to change and who should be starting. Not that they can't have those opinions, they just need to keep them in house. I'd rather be boring than have a team in turmoil. -

Lynch rushes for 1500+ yards, 12 Rush TDs, with another 400 receiving and 3 rec TDs -
Totally agree on almost all your points. I DO wish we had better depth on the OLine, especially at T

Pete Prisco Ranks his Top 50 in the NFL
ndirish1978 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The list seems more like a popularity contest than a talent evaluator. That being said. I don't think I would add anyone else on our team to the list. We have several guys I would put in top 5 at their position, but 22 real positions (I don't count ST), 50 players total, doesnt really leave a lot of room for guys beyond 3 at their position. -
Which NFL mascot is more fierce? 52% Poe 48% Billy Buffalo Total Votes: 38928 If we lose this, Willis wins. Everyone vote

An offseason of distractions
ndirish1978 replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honor, accountability and responsibility are for sale in today's world as long as you have enough money. That's simply a fact. People get away with things because they have money. Kids aren't looking to become famous so the rules won't apply to them anymore, but they need to be more realistic about how life works out. Basically, you have a choice, like all other situations in life, to teach kids an object lesson when you see things like this happen. Life is not fair. Good guys don't always win. Do I think Marshawn hit the girl, knew he hit her and didn't care? No. Frankly, I don't really care. If your kid is busy copying EVERY action of his heroes, then I suggest you spend more time with your kids, cause it would take a pretty dumb kid to aspire to the errors in other's lives. -
An offseason of distractions
ndirish1978 replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I figured you would be of that mind, which is why I KIND of agree. If your kid idolizes a moron, it's your job to tell him to look up to someone else, not the moron's job to live up to your kid's expectations. How about we teach our kids too personally admire people like teachers, people who deserve their acclaim. Athletes are commodities and we need to stop idolizing them like they are bigger than life. Teach your kids to aspire to the job, not the person occupying the job at the time. -

I kind of agree. These guys aren't my heroes or my friends. I don't care what they do as long as they show up on Sunday. If their stupidity causes them to miss games, then I have a problem with them. Don't romanticize the notion of being a fan and pretend like we all have personal investments in these guys. If a player plays well and happens to be a nice guy, then they'll probably be one of the guys I root for a little harder and I might buy their jersey. For those who act poorly, I'll still cheer for them when they play well and remain nonplussed otherwise. I assume that all of you out there who have ripped on Marshawn and Hardy all offseason will still cheer when they score a TD. I would venture to say you might even learn not to personally hate them nearly as much anymore if they score enough. Sports stars don't have an obligation to be model citizens or good role models. They owe no greater responsibility to the public. They do their jobs and get paid for it. If some people want to put them on pedestals and then get heartbroken when they are human, that's your fault. -
RIP Tim Russert

Russert was amazing, this is a terrible loss. He spoke at my undergrad graduation and I loved every minute of it. -
Losman would beat out Edwards in a camp battle
ndirish1978 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I suggest we switch this to a question of who will win the #2 spot, Hamdan or Losman. I have broken it all down for you according to my own very specific set of criteria: Facial Hair: Hamdan: well-trimmed, very presentable Losman: looks like an early 80s porn star Advantage: Hamdan Better Photshopped Picture: Hamdan:http://buffalowdown.com/2008/05/27/bills-third-string-qb-best-arab-american-athlete/ Losman: http://data2.blog.de/media/715/1002715_a4c3365c89_m.jpeg Advantage: Losman Identifying Trademark: Hamdan: Oozes with Chroise Losman: The high-pitched voice of an adolescent girl (only useful if attempting to woo Travis Henry) Advantage: Hamdan The numbers don't lie: Hamdan 2 Losman 1 -
I like it, loaded fast and it's less filling.
