  1. Yeah dude looks like a young Eric Moulds. I don't see him lasting till round 2 as he will probably rise up draft boards. As for 11, it is possible, because a defensive player may just not warrant the selection there, and that includes the Bama linebackers, sorry BillInNYC and other Upshaw fans. I'd take Upshaw in the 20's though....
  2. Shaun Ellis was 6'3 285 for the Jets in a 4-3 for years and was very solid. Even in a 4-3 the LE is often a bigger, stouter end. I believe Carrington could be that type of player: solid against the run but could provide 8-12 sacks per year now that he has some NFL experience.
  3. Carrington will drop back down to 285 and play LE, and become a solid starter. Mark it down.
  4. I think Nix is targeting of of the Florida St tackles in the 2nd or 3rd rounds......just a hunch.
  5. I can't see him recieving anything less than 5M per year if he hits the open market, just because he plays LT, and thats just how it goes. I bet he gets a 5 year 30M contract at minimum. That's about as high as I'd go though if I were a GM.
  6. Yeah beerball, like I said, the light's really not on upstairs for the guy lol. I guy I really like as a somewhat under-the-radar type signing would be John Carlson from Seattle. Kind of the 2nd option there after Miller, but would be a #1 here. Good all around TE when healthy.
  7. Yeah, Bennett would be a nice addition too, even though he's as dumb as a box of rocks.....superior athelete at the TE position though. Would be a nice compliment to Chandler, which you need these days.
  8. Also agree with ajepp. Hairston belongs on the right side where he can battle Pears and the loser can backup both spots.
  9. I will take bout 9M for each of them, and I would have no problem doing so. Keep Bell and add one more TE in free agency and we could go HEAVY D in the draft. Or we could go after Bowe hard instead because I believe he fits our offense and personnel best out of all the free agent WR's. Offer Steve 8 and Bowe 10, and we'd have a shot.....
  10. I agree jc but how many RT candidates do they need? lol
  11. I personally can't wait for Overdorf to be GONE. Unfortunately, Ralph will have to die first. Wish the old busted bastard would do the right thing and sell the team to a group who plans on staying AND winning!
  12. Don't forget there will be a few other WR's who get huge deals this offseason.....Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston and even probably DeShaun Jackson of the Eagles will all get pretty big deals. When all is said and done 7.5 will probably be closer to 20th in the league than 15th. Just throwin that out there.....
  13. Hairston will always require help in pass pro. If we let Bell walk, get ready for a LT drafted high.
  14. Levitre is the guy who needs to be locked up the most, but I would like to see all 3 with new deals ASAP.....I really think Bell is the only guy on the roster who should be a full time LT though. Hairston needs to go to the right and battle Pears and the loser become the backup/swing tackle.
  15. Yeah, probably not quite athletic enough for LT after he built himself up to football size, but like Barbarian said, he could probably be trained to play anywhere else on the line. We could have a 4 way competion for RT next camp with Pears, Hairston, Jasper, and Brown! I don't like Hairston at LT either. Just too slow and we'd always have to have help over there.
  16. Yeah, you would think that he'd have no chance playing center at that height but he looked pretty good. I don't think anyone hear is gonna complain about possible O-line depth. Well...............maybe!
  17. A somewhat under the radar signing at TE would be John Carlson. He's been hurt a bit but he and Chandler could really solidify the position for us for the first time in....forever lol. No, it wouldn't be the dynamic due like the Pats have, but very solid nontheless. We score Carlson in free agency and Jeffrey in the draft, this offense becomes VERY balanced. Sure, the D would still need work and we'd still be stuck with Fitz, but we'd still have more draft picks and HOPEFULLY a little more action in free agency to deal with that side of the ball.
  18. Cool, I was hoping the win vs. Denver didn't drop us to like 15th. I can definitely deal with 8-11th.....An impact performer always slides a little......my short list for that range is Alshon Jeffery (and yes we need him with or without Steve coming back!), Courtney Upshaw (move Kelsay to situational pass rusher only), or even Zak Brown. Just imagine what the D would look like with Zak Brown playing LB instead of Spencer Johnson!!!!!!!!!
  19. If we can't land Barkley or RG3, Alshon Jeffrey is my man. If we are gonna be stuck with Fitz, we gotta get him targets that are effective intermediate recievers. Might as well add a TE to pair with Chandler in free agency as well. Fk the spread crap. We need guys who can work the middle of the field and help the running game be more physical.
  20. so sick of hearing a RB can't carry the load cause he is too small. Biggest myth in NFL history! Being small is actually better if you know how to avoid the big hits! There was once this guy named Thurman, ran thru the hole like a a wiggle wormin, caught passes while he continued squirmin.......had a pretty productive career too..........
  21. Fine with the Pears extension but Hairston is not long term LT material. He just doesn't have to pure athleticism for it. Even though Bell is not very durable I would bring him back if possible. I would be OK with using Hairston as a fill in LT or RT of the future but not a full time LT. I guess we would be alright using a rotation of these 3.
  22. With the team being stuck with Fitzpatrick for a while, a true BIG TIME TE would actually be the best aquisition that would help the offense right now. Chandler would be a very nice #2.......
