Wild Card Saturday: FA targets to watch
Mark Vader replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that will happen more so in the draft than in free agency. -
Stephon Gilmore - first team AP All-Pro
Mark Vader replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't care about what he did this year. That's not what I'm getting at. There were things that he did in his final year that I thought was insulting to the fans. His attitude really pissed me off. We as fans do not deserve that. Do I hold a grudge, yes! Like I said, I was thrilled when the Bills drafted him. I even defended him in his first few seasons, when people were complaining that Gilmore does not get any interceptions. His final year with the Bills was the last straw for me. If he's reached his potential with the Patriots*.....so be it. -

Just so you know, I was a fan of Gilmore. I wanted the Bills to draft him. I liked what I saw from him when he was here, and we all saw what he did against Odell Beckham Jr. and it was great. What I hated was his last season here. His attitude was terrible and you could see it in his play. He did not look like he wanted to be here and he played like it. The Chris Hogan play is one example of how his final season was here. -

He got toasted by Chris Hogan when he was here. That should never happen to any CB in this league. -
Conley & Humphries are not true #1 WR's, but they would add good experience and more stability to our group. If you add Conley & Humphries along with Foster, Jones & McKenzie then draft a WR who could be a #1, then you are looking at a much stronger group of receivers than what we had last year.

Exactly. I could easily see Gruden not being satisfied with having two very late picks in the first round and wanting to make a splash by moving up into the top 10 again. Also, if the Bills choose to stay where they are at and get the player they want at 9, I'm fine with that.
-
Yes, but they will be in the mid-to lower 20's.
-
That's why I say trade for 25 & 27.
-
If Bobby Beathard were still the Redskins GM, would you get their 2020 first round pick by trading down 7 spots. Otherwise, that's not happening. Although you could get a 2nd & a 4th, but not a 2nd & 3rd. I like the effort you put into this. I think Chris Conley would be a solid signing. Good job.

Wisconsin OT David Edwards declares for NFL Draft. https://badgerofhonor.com/2019/01/02/wisconsin-football-david-edwards-nfl-draft/

Thank you, although it's pick 27 not 28. Either way, it should still be a fair trade. I'm fine with staying put and picking the best player available at 9, but if we could make this trade with the Raiders, I say do it.
-
If the Bills choose to trade down, then they should trade their first round pick(#9) to the Raiders for their two late first round picks #25 & #27. The Raiders need all the help they can get. Does anyone know, by using the draft points value that this would be a fair trade?

Kyle Williams Mic’d Up vs Miami
Mark Vader replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really loved last year's finale with Tre' White mic'd up. Loved his reaction when Kyle scored the touchdown. This one, was just as special if not more. I love it when he's going at it with Josh Allen on the sidelines. I'm going to miss Kyle. -

CFP title game ticket prices plummeting
Mark Vader replied to YoloinOhio's topic in College Football
Yes, it is very expensive here. It would be cheaper to fly into San Francisco, but then you would have to travel 40 miles by car to get to Santa Clara/San Jose. Then there's hotels and food that you have to look forward too. Pro sports is a lot bigger here than college is, and that's unfortunate. Even if a team like Notre Dame was playing in the championship game, it still would have a tough time selling out. Notre Dame plays Stanford all the time, and whenever the Irish come to play in Palo Alto, nobody really cares. There's no hype at all. It's really sad. I was born in the wrong part of the country for this stuff. -
I voted indifferent. I think the train horn is louder on television than it is at the game. When I was at the home opener, I would hear the horn but it wasn't that obvious. Having the buffalo stampede would be a lot better.

Sadly, I have to agree with this. Believe me, I'm thrilled that the National Title game is being played here, and Levi's Stadium is just as good as any other place to play it. The problem is that the Bay Area is one of the worst places for College Football. There is no tradition here, and there is no hype for the game itself. California & Stanford have their following, but it's more of a student thing and that's not enough. There are a lot of transplants from many universities who have their own football clubs in this area, but not enough to fill an entire stadium. Too bad, because this is such a good area -
Why? The NFL touts how they do everything in the best interests of the fans. This would be in the best interests of the fans.

Charges dropped in Reuben Foster DV case

Well, well, well. Still wouldn't want this guy and am amazed that he remains in the NFL. This guy is Aldon Smith all over again. -
