A .500 record is very realistic, esp. with a rookie QB under center. Defense will have to carry this team (and hope they don't have brain farts). I don't think ST will do better than last year but we can only hope. They will surprise nobody this year.

That is why we wait and bide our time and stick it to them by asking for a 2nd rounder now!

I brought up this point soon after DB was released. With him on the roster or w/o him, this wouldn't have changed except our starting QB will have had more experience and playoffs were more of an assured possibility. Yes the offense sucked those first four games of the season and they didn't improve much either but in 2 of those 4 games we had the lead late in the 4th quarter only to see the D give it up and we never recovered.

The sad thing is that our nation's public schools won't hire the best teachers out there for political reasons or what have you. I've had my share of incompetent teachers while going through school. I've always wondered how they managed to "earn" their teaching certificates.
