  1. Weather won't be an issue. Most of our guys live down south any way. Stroud, obviously, has played there plenty. Watch for Marshawn to feed off the heat and put up 120 yards.
  2. First, are you suppose to take free agency into account? If so, I think we need to replace Crowell through FA next offseason, as I foresee us looking to enter next season as a serious contnedor, meaning no longer looking for rookies to start immediately. And OLB will be key position to upgrade. After that, we need to build solid depth on in the interior of our offensive line. So a top-tier center would be great or even a monster guard. We'll have extended Evans by then, so too much dough will be tied up in our WRs to draft another one high. Plus, Hardy will be coming into his own by year's end, hopefully. I really like Derek Fine, and the coaches really like the other Derek, so I don't think they'll take a tight end in the first, even if there is a TE worth a 1st round pick. Another DT will be needed, especially if the reports of shopping McCargo are true, and I think they are. We just spend a t 3rd on Ellis, and I think he is going to becoming a good player, so this has to be a position addressed late if at all. We need depth at safety, but I think we have our starting duo in place for the forseeeable future. I'd go with: 1. OLB 2. C/G 3. C/G 4. DT 5. TE 6. S 7. OLB
  3. For sure. Here is a Q&A with Fred Taylor, in which he says he of Stroud, "I just want him to get back to the Pro Bowl-caliber player he is. That's why I push him so hard."
  4. A Dockery-Henderson match-up would be a great to watch.
  5. Bills make NFL Power 10 Debut
  6. The Jags also signed 6-4 380lbs Chad Slaughter today.
  7. That is considered. Pretty much verbatim, I say, "I need to come into the concourse to talk. No one is getting kicked out right now, but we need to talk right now." When someone refuses it is usually explained to me that he paid good money for the seat and doesn't want anything or he is too drunk to really understand. I tell him, "I understand that. And everyone else here paid good money for their seats. You need to come with me now or you will be taken out. If you have to be taken out, the police are going to arrest you. Please, come with me now." I am standing in front of a crowd, often blocking the view of behaving fans. I don't have the time to negotiate. If he doesn't go, I return to the bottom of the stairs and call for the snatch team. Really, most times I shake my head all the way down the stairs because I know this fool back up there is either too drunk or too stubborn to think about the decision he is making. I have to lead the snatch team up, try one more time quickly to talk him into coming peacefully. If he still won't go, I have to be the one to first grab the guy, which usually results bruises and scratches for me. So I have plenty of personal interest in resolving it without getting to that point. Of course, we do say the same thing to someone who threw something or was fighting, and they really are going to be escorted directly out of the building or to police custody. But we have to do what we have to do to minimize the danger to the fans around those people. That said, those guys almost never walk out on their own. Often, someone who threw something or was in a fairly minor fight but walks out on there own, usually does not get arrested -- just booted.
  8. Exactly, but with that logic signing Tuten Reyes would be a great move. Errr... they don't have much up the middle.
  9. They're fans are calling it a "great move" and say they love the signing. You'd think they just made a big free agency acquisition.
  10. ESPN reports... Well, that Rams team he played for last year sure didn't shine.
  11. Not just a home playoff game, but a game that would have the Chargers leaving picture perfect San Diego for a wintry, absolutely rocking January game at the Ralph! And I would like our chances going to Denver in the second round.
  12. Another outsider looking in and seeing a better Buffalo team than even we do. Pats*, Jags and Titans in the middle of the pack?
  13. Well, Denver looked like they were really clicking last night. Of course, that was against the Raiders. But San Diego didn't look great and didn't seem to have any heart in their loss Sunday.
  14. And don't forget the Jags will have Jerry Porter in their lineup for the first time.
  15. And when did Giuliani become a senator?
  16. Are you bringing, the um, pair in your avatar?
  17. I believe having a gun without the will and means to actually use it is much more dangerous than not having any weapon. Pulling a gun has the very real possibility to seriously escalate a situation. Bluffing with a firearm is very dangerous, as the other party just might call your bluff. If you're going to pull it, you better be ready to use it.
  18. That ESPN article didn't mention the gun, but yes, local media down there are reporting Young had an unloaded gun in his glove compartment. There, reportedly, was no ammo in the car and police were not concerned about the weapon.
  19. I cannot imagine anyone will. The Jags were a ton of people's Super Bowl pick this year. They still have very violent defense and formidable backs. But didn't you just start a thread about how Stroud is set to feast of Jacksonville?
  20. Give him time...besides, McGee is our starting corner and will need breaks from the return game as the season progresses.
  21. We have ample reason to feel overlooked on this list, but how about the Bears? They beat the Colts yet end up at #19 while the Colts are #6?!?!?!?! That makes NO sense, at all. Then the Chargers are rated at #4 while the Panthers, who just beat the Chargers, are stuck at #12. Why are the Titans #13 when they just beat the #9 Jags? It's like whoever this clown is forgot to check the scores Sunday for several games. This list has ZERO creditability and needs not to be read.
  22. Roscoe is a great returner. His ability have to be accounted for by opposing teams. His presence changes gameplans, causing punters to send balls out of bounds rather than trying to pin us deep, forcing offenses to go for it on 4th down rather than going for field position. I also get excited anytime Parrish goes back for a punt. I feel the same way when a team is dumb enough to send a kickoff to McGee. We have one scary return game.
  23. Ha ha ha. I was thinking the same thing.
  24. Yep, and that is still huge. I think BillinNYC said it earlier, imagine if we were missing Dockery, Fowler, Butler and Chambers....no thanks! Our season would be over.
