Joe Brady Officially Promoted as Bills OC!

I’m so confused. Wouldn’t hiring the wrong coordinator hurt his job security? -

I don’t believe there was a way cap wise to part ways last year. -
Bills need a hardnosed, blunt QB coach

QB coaches basically make sure the QB understands the offense. Are you saying Josh doesn’t understand offense? I think he needs someone he respects though. -
Bills Cap Breakdown by Greg Tompsett

Not exactly. Yes, but there was no chance the Bills would take on cap to move on from Diggs last year. Now they can move on and create cap. Yes, there’s a ton of dead cap but they can still do it if Diggs doesn’t want to be here. What does Diggs want? This offseason we get a clear answer. I think the Bills want to keep Diggs, there’s really no reason they shouldn’t want him at least for another season. -

Everyone is viewing this from the Bills standpoint. Diggs has a say in all this. Not the final say but he can force himself out this year. -
Felt like the Chiefs celebrated their Bills win more than the Ravens win. But maybe that’s just me. No they definitely were more excited after beating the Bills. Showed more emotion.

Joe Brady Officially Promoted as Bills OC!

Thats the reward of hitting on a QB. You get to ride on the QB’s back for a decade. People act like they inherited Josh Allen. They went and got him. And also Josh Allen wasn’t a can’t miss prospect. McDermott and Beane surrounded Allen with the structure and culture to develop. -
I didn’t realize so many are that confident Joe Brady is a better offensive coordinator than Ken Dorsey? It’ll be interesting watch where the Bills offense goes from here. Maybe the reaction I’m getting is purely emotional. Not a lot of thought going into it.

Coaches are the easiest to blame. I just don’t understand the logic of wanting to replace a coach that loses in the 2nd or 3rd round of the playoffs? Heck, some fans want coaches fired after losing Super Bowls. “You can’t beat the best 2-3 coaches in the league so we’re going to replace you with a completely unknown and unproven head coach because we think he can”. Basically this is the logic.

They were just missing the pass plays off the run. He did call the deep shot off play action to Diggs but I just felt like there was more to be had in the air. Chiefs were selling out vs the run in the 2nd half and when you have Allen you should be able to take advantage of that. Im not saying Dorsey would’ve.
-
They’re different. I’m nervous about Brady because his passing offense was bad.
-
Wins? Ok. I do think the team woke up with the firing. Similar to a hockey team firing a coach. But reality is the defense was the big improvement after the firing. I would love to be impressed by Brady but I just wasn’t. I think his passing offense will be much improved with a full offseason to put his touches on it.

Brady’s play calling was about as simple as it gets. Probably due to him taking over midseason. It was a very dumbed down offense. Passing concepts were JV level. The biggest plus was his commitment to the run, but IMO that was a negative because we have Josh Allen. In terms of metrics or analytics Dorsey’s offense was better in that regard also.

That’s fine. He’s still a better offensive coordinator then Joe Brady.
