I somewhat agree with what you are saying ..... But IMHO ... The Bills have taken drafting the better player available rather than a player we need to a bit of an extreme. point in fact is the 9,000 DBs we (before this season) always seem to draft. Drafting Willis Magahee when we had a capable running back in the fold. Maybin as opposed to Orakpo or Oher. Also just my opinion our problem isn't so much as "missing" on our draft choices, but in doing things without a recovery plan, and we've been doing that for quite some time ..... get rid of Pat Williams and Sam Adams? ... no problem but replace him with who??? get rid of Winfield? ... OK but replace him with who??? Let Greer walk? ... sure but replace him with who??? Get rid of Peters .... no problem but replace him with who??? Get rid of Langston Walker? .. fine but replace him with who??? and on and on and on. Now don't get me wrong .... I'm starting to like the Spiller pick ... but come on .... a potential super star who consists of 1/3 of the backfield plays .... give me a break .... we're too crowded back there. To make this pick a GREAT pick we needed a plan to move one of our other running backs for some type of value.

IMHO .... he has already made his decision .... He's going to play, but not do the heavy lifting of OTAs and two a days in training camp. Before last year I'd be all for cutting his sorry a$$ because of not being a team player .... but ... Sir Farve proved that not only can you skip all of the boring working hard stuff and show up on game day and still maintain your "darling" status with fans, media and teammates. I think we will begin seeing more and more of this type of behavior around the league "vets". I don't think it's right .... I don't think it should be allowed to happen ... Just saying Brett has set a president that will eventually snowball and we are seeing the first indication of it in A.S.

I hope Trent does win the starting job but then again I also hope ether Fitz or Brian win the job too.... heck I don't even care if the rookie wins the job, just as long as somebody WINS it. My point is .... I hope anybody WINS the job and seperates themself from the rest, rather than OBD deciding the starter by a flip of the coin because they all suck equally. in light of full disclosure, I am a Trent fan .... but I won't have trouble rooting for whichever QB wins the job, nor do I wish failure for any of them to allow Trent to win.

Same way as I'd build a baseball team ...... from the middle out. Center, Guards, Tackles, DTs, DEs, WRs, QB, LBs, RBs, DBs. All the skill players in the world won't amount to a hill of beans if you don't have those big ugly guys up front.

And exactly which team on the verge of a super bowl needs a washed up penilty machine to upgrade their O-line??? While Adams may WANT to go to a winning club .... maybe it's the bottom feeders like us that are the only ones who NEED him. Don't get me wrong ... I love my Bills ... but the fact remains his team got rid of him so they can get better, no "winning teams" need him to get better .... and he just may be a short term upgrade for us. Mr. Adams just may find his opportunities a bit limited. and THAT should be what Adam Shefter is putting on the air waves.

First of all gratz on the move. My only advice is to listen to the NFL channel on Serius and try to emulate that style ... especially shows like the one Pat Kerwin hosts. I appreciate the intellegent football talk without the artificial "drama" of most local stuff. Look to inform and educate your listeners rather than yell and scream radical opinions to create buzz. Demand facts and reasoning from your call in people .... if a caller wants to say player X sucks ... ask why he has that opinion .... if a caller says player A is better than player B ask for supporting stats. Don't let the show turn into a B word fest (or love fest for that matter) without any supporting foundations, keep it an intellegent discussion ... and never ever underestimate the intellegence of your listeners.

AVP wasn't nearly as gifted as Kelly ..... or Frank Reich for that matter ..... as a matter of fact the reason he stayed on with the Bills was not his ability to play football but that he was "football smart". You are right he does not have illustrious accomplishments as a player .... never led us to a championship .. but he did have promise as a coach. I also agree that good coaches find a way to get things done but in AVP's situation he wasn't even given the time to develop as a coach, let alone a "good coach".

I feel sorry for him. IMHO he was a casualty of FO mismanagement. While I agree he had no place in the future of the Bills and therefore had to go, he was thrust in a no win situation by being placed in a position he wasn't remotly qualified (or prepared) for and handed a rag-tag at best group of players. I think he deserves to be a coach somewhere ... and I think he'd be a good one. I wish him luck

Correct .... there are two outside LBs in each formation ....... but do we really think we will have an inside LB coach for one inside LB .... or do we think the inside LB will go without a coach???? Not saying I know anything, (and MANY people say I know nothing) it's just odd that we didn't hire a LB coach if our intentions were to run the 4-3

Didn't "Chan the Man" hire one of his old GT coaches to be our "outside linebackers" coach??? I wouldn't think a 4-3 would need an outside linebackers coach ..... I'm just guessing here

After watching Lafevour for a few games this year I think he MAY be the answer .... we're just asking the wrong question He very well may or may NOT be the franchise starting QB star we are looking for, but he will almost certianly be a very good backup at least. IMHO there are no QBs in this years draft that stand out as "THE" guy we are looking for and face it we have greater immediate needs for our high draft picks this year. If I were king of the world (which I'm not) I would be more than happy to invest a third/fourth round draft choice in Lafevour to replace any one of the three QBs we currently have on the team. Ya never know we could hit the jackpot rather than drafting a QB higher based on "hype". IMHO ... we need a year or so of "team building" before we even think about investing in and handing the keys over to a franchise QB.

I hear what you are saying but one difference maker surrounded by 52 dog doodoo players just won't make any difference (pun WAS intended). What we need are a BUNCH of good players before we start worrying about that one or two "difference makers" that get us over the hump.

Know what ...... Before the season began I was laughing at the Jets with their loud mouth rookie coach .... Maybe I should have waited to see how they did over a season or two so I didn't look like such an idiot
