IMHO ............ keeping in mind I am but a non-playing marginal fan ...... I think the problem with the Bills (notice I DIDN'T say problem with Bledsoe) is the overall team personality ........ or to be more accurate ..... the LACK of a team personality. All of the negative aspects of Drews game as pointed out by the Bledsoe bashers (for the most part) exist ..... the catch is ..... every QB in the league has things they do well, and do poorly. All of the negative aspects of Henrys game as pointed out by the Henry bashers for the most part exist ..... the catch once again ...... All RBs in the league have things they can and can't do. All of the negatives of (fill in the blank) are true ...... yadda yadda yadda The point IS, a team has to be built around a central "theme" ..... a team has to be a smash mouth run up the gut team ........ a quick cutting, slashing fast running team ....... a verticle streatch the field long ball passing team ........ a short pass dink and dunk kind of team ........ well you get the idea. Our Bills team has not been built with any sence of purpose ...... our QB is a chuck and duck kind of guy (but that takes a certian type of blocking scheme) our running back is a run it down their throat kind of player (but that takes a different kind of blocking scheme). Or "future" RB is a slasher ...... our WRs are a mixture of Dink and dunk (Reed) ...... stretch the field ........ (Evans) and Moulds. our O-line is pretty much a hodge-podge big fat guys, smaller quick guys, run blockers pass blockers .... who the heck knows.

How generous of you, why don't you avoid the rush and declare it a bust now and let the players go home early.

Weren't we in the lead at the end of the fourth quarter against Jax with the possibility of only one Jax possesion before the game ended???? Didn't they convert something like three 4th down plays to eventually score???? Wasn't at least one of those 4th down plays something like 4th and a zillion yards??? On their 4th and goal, wasn't the reciever who beat about three or four Bills to the ball a rookie???? On to Oakland ...... didn't the Raiders score a TD on a bomb where a rookie got juked out of his jock strap, and a vet blew his coverage????wasn't that pass not only NOT to one of their "star" recievers ...... but to a reciever who equaled his total reception yards of last year with that single catch???? Now I'll agree the defense's level of "suckatude" isn't nearly the at the level of "suckification" attained by the offense ....... but the fact remains ..... the defense COULD have won both of those games for us. I'm not makeing excuses for the "O" ............. just pointing out that our "D" is not without sin.

I am "for" who ever is playing for the Bills, I don't care if Drew or JP or Flutie, or Johnson, or some as yet unnammed QB playing ............ I'm rooting for his success ................ I'm a Bills fan ........... that's what we do. As far as do I think Drew can give us the best chance to win???? Gee, I don't know but the coaching staff seems to think he's our best option right now so I'll defer to their decision. Would I rather have some type of "robo-QB" who never gets sacked, never throws an interception, can run through the defense when all other options fail, always compleats his passes, always scores a TD every time he's in the red zone ... sure .... but to the best of my knowledge, he's currently not on our roster. I'm also intellegent enough to know that just because our #2 and #3 QB hasn't made any boneheaded plays yet this year, doesn't mean that they're better QBs ..... it just means they haven't played a down yet.

If there were only half as much would we have had ....... semi-colon talk this week???

IMHO ........... he should have barred the press from contact with the team when the Willis/Travis "I wanna start .... no I wanna start" non-story seemed to be the only thing they could write about. For some reason the local press always seemed to be anti-Bills, where they couldn't find dirt .... they invented it.

What if Moulds gets shut out and Evans has a big day????? WR controversy????

IMHO ......... I don't see the Bills offense pitching any big scoring games this season. The way I see it the new philosophy is for the offense to "not lose" the game, just plod along, take what is given, and to put up somewhere in the 20 - 24 points scores, and for the defense to limit the points the opponent scores to below 21. Not real exciting football of the offense minded amoung us. Can be real upsetting on a game to game basis, but as a season long philosophy I think it may be "doable".

GOOD GOD MAN ............ think about what you just said ...... we went against the best run defense in the NFL and didn't do as well as you would have liked????? That WAS the best run defense last year ..... we had one of the WORST O-lines last year ....... exactly what in the heck DID you expect???? I was happy we gained the yardage we did, I was overjoyed we stuck with the run. Mt. Washington has lost a few steps, his tank is banging empty, I'm a bit afraid of Sapp, but I think we neutralize him by running AT him OFTEN, I anticipate some turnovers created by our backfield (I think they feel like they owe us something ) I think we grind out a win on the left coast.

I thought it started off pretty slow .......... there wasn't much "content" when they launched the network ............... but I'M LOVIN' IT NOW

IMHO ............ at this stage in your sons educational career he should be learning to "enjoy school" .......... his teachers main responsibility is not to browbeat the students, but to inspire them to learn. I had a very similar experiance with my daughter, she LOVED school until she ran into one particular teacher in grade school, and she began dreading even the thought of going. My knee jerk reaction then was to tell her to "gut it out" and to consider this year as a lesson that you will sometimes run into people who just rub you the wrong way, and oft times THEY can be the people in charge of your life, so you may as well learn how to cope now. It also got to the point where she couldn't sleep or eat, my wife (the trained education professional) said enough is enough and this is too much ..... we went to the school and demanded that she be moved to another teacher, the principal at first tried to tell us that we couldn't switch her, but our comment to that was that in our opinion, she is already taken out of her current class, the only thing that needs to be figured out is where she's going to school, and if that school had room for her, that would make us happy, but she was NOT going to walk into Mrs. XXXXX's room again, ever, period, end of story. Since a school gets funded by the number of little butts in their seats, she was more than glad to find a spot for my daughter in another class.

I tried to talk my wife into leaving the kids at home to feed the fish when we evacuate ....... so far she's not buying it.

Kind of sad .............. he was the Kent Hull of the "old days" ......... seems like the Bills could give him a better job.

He looked tentative hitting the holes early, as he got more carries he looked a bit better. He coughed up a fumble (maybe Travis has taken him under his wing and taught him a something afterall ) Basically he looked like a rookie, shaking the rust off after a bad injury and long layoff. IMHO ...... he may not show anything "stellar" at the begining of the season, but if he stays patient, plays his role as a backup until he gets his feet back under him, he'll do fine.

I could have sworn that during the showing of "the sounds of football" (the NFL network program where they had everybody mike'd. During a scene where MM was walking onto the field, a security guard walks up to him and introduces himself as Al Bemiller the ex Bill, and says something to the effect that ..... "it's my job to escort you on and off the field". I can't review it ........ forgot to program the TiVo anybody else notice it???

I saw an interview with Tiki Barber this afternoon. They asked him if Ron Dayne's sucess this preseason has him worried at all. His comment was ......... heck no, we're team mates what people don't understand is that the opposition has to defend Barber AND Dayne ......... it's not Barber OR Dayne. That my friends is how the situation should be handled ......... the bills have Travis AND Willis ........... at least for the next year or two ........... why should everybody be trying to force a Travis OR Willis type of deal.

I've been one of the more vocal Teage bashers on the board ....... but I must admit that maybe ....... and I said MAYBE the biggest problem Teague has had was playing between Brown and Pucillo. I'll never anoint him as a dominating center .......... but that's OK, all he needs to do is hold his ground at the point of attack. He's done fine this preseason, hopefully it will continue.
