  1. The writing is on the wall for the Buffalo Bills. Everything links together: Goddell comments on RWS, the trade up for Watkins, the trade of SJ. The franchise is broke. They didn't want to pay SJ's salary. They know they're going to stink next year, so they don't want to pay a first-round pick next year. They're cutting expenses like crazy to either make the team more attractive to a buyer, or to move the team to LA. It's just obvious.
  2. Ralph Wilson disagrees. Therefore, your opinion is irrelevant. You can still give Ralph money for tickets, though.
  3. We need a new owner. Until then, nothing else matters. Save your ticket money.
  4. Doug Maronne was a loser at Syracuse, and he's a loser at Buffalo. He's here solely because, like all the rest, he's a puppet for Ralph.
  5. This game is all you need. A "home game" held in Toronto, which the "home team" performs horribly in every year. A manageable schedule coming up. A team hyped as having a "new" coach and a "young", "talented" group of new players. The guys who are supposedly the answer for the franchise (Manuel, Johnson, Chandler, etc.) all fail in a laughable, amateurish fashion and lose to a terrible team and a way that results in the franchise being a national laughingstock. There is no hope beyond another group of new players in the draft, who will also all fail. Finally, the only guy happy is Ralph, who runs off with all of the ticket money, turns away multiple guys that would buy the team and make it better, and will milk this failure of a franchise for another ten years. Why? God hates Buffalo. And yet, the ticket office will still be open tomorrow. And rubes will still willingly give their money to Ralph.
  6. He's just a loser with a big mouth. He doesn't bring anything to this franchise that a hundred other guys wouldn't do. I'd love it if he were simply released tomorrow, but that makes too much sense, so Ralph will probably pop up out of his coma and give him a five-year extension.
  7. EJ's minor problem is that he can't stay healthy. His major problem is that he's not a very good quarterback.
  8. Why would we draft a quarterback? We have EJ Manuel (a rookie who can't stay healthy because he makes bad decisions) and Jeff Tuel (one of the worst three QBs in the NFL right now)? ALL HAIL THE BILLS FRONT OFFICE!
  9. I feel like I ought to rename this thread, "Bills Fans Suffering With Stockholm Syndrome". Calling Jeff Tuel "a rookie quarterback" is just naive. He is a quarterback who is on this roster solely through mismanagement. He wasn't thought of as anything in college and he was undrafted BECAUSE HE WASN'T ANY GOOD. And he STILL isn't any good. He isn't remotely an NFL quarterback because he can't do anything. He can't throw, he can't run, he can't make reads. And I don't care that he's the fourth-string or fifth-string or whatever-string-needs-to-be-invented-to-make-someone-feel-good. He shouldn't be on a roster. ANY roster. But, well, this is Buffalo. It's been years since the team has done anything, and the local drunks errrr fans will say anything to ensure that they can keep throwing bad money after good money in order to have eight outdoor parties a year (maybe it's seven...did our wonderful owner move that game to ANOTHER COUNTRY still?). It can't be justified. Not at all. And unless we're throwing the season because Ralph already has all of your "real fan" ticket money and is trying to get yet another high draft pick he'll blow, he should be released tomorrow and a REAL quarterback, a veteran who needs a job (and there are 10+ of them out there) should be on the roster.
  10. What's sad is how many of you will continue to defend the indefensible because you'll put up with terrible football as long as it gives you an excuse to get drunk outdoors. Those fans who continue to support every move this franchise makes are killing this franchise through their selfishness.
  11. I expect a semi-competent NFL franchise to never have to start a QB as bad as an UDFA rookie. When they do, it's on them.
  12. I guarantee there are at least 20 guys who could be in uniform tomorrow better than Jeff Tuel.
  13. I'm sure he's a nice guy. I'm sure that his family loves him. But Jeff Tuel is obviously not an NFL-quality backup, and never will be. Get Flynn ready, and find someone else on the waiver wire. We don't need any more data or practice reps. He can't play. I'm glad he got that TD pass, because even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while and he'll need something to show his grandkids. But he needs to be released. Of course, he won't be because Ralph is concerned about full stadia and refills on tapioca. But I digress.
  14. When you get hired by Ralph, there's a reason. "Being a great coach" is not one of those reasons.
  15. This is a game that good franchises find a way to win, and bad franchises find a way to lose. And Buffalo is a bad franchise. It's okay...we'll still find a way to go 7-9 so even the draft pick sucks.
  16. Pat White? The Bills are officially throwing the season. They should offer ticket refunds.
  17. Oh boy. Another OC to blame. Have you ever noticed that all of these crappy Bills OCs have one thing in common...inferior offensive talent. Maybe we should actually have an average draft. Not a great one...that would be too much. An AVERAGE draft.
  18. Doug Maronne absolutely choked at the end of that game. Let them score a TD. Do something to change the clock/TO scheme. Instead, what he did was lose the game, but minimize the criticism he might take for losing the game. Looks like we got another guy who isn't big enough for the position.
  19. If after eight months to prepare, your best QB option is an undrafted rookie, someone has to be fired. Only the Buffalo Bills.
  20. Matt Leinart and John Beck. Welcome to the new season, everyone! It's a new era! -____________-
  21. Manuel may be okay, but his loss of reps is not okay. You can't just throw him in there too early and let him get hurt again, and you can't give him a bunch of first-team reps if he's not going to play during a game week. Face it: we're looking at Kolb for probably at least the first four weeks. Things were just going too well.
  22. The kid throws a very catchable long ball, too. (PS I KNOW ITS THE FIRST PRESEASON GAME)
  23. Great drive. EASY drive. Offense is really clicking now.
