Been out there a few times visiting some friends in SD. Nothing like sitting down to watch the national championship game (FSU-VT a while back) while you are eating dinner. The game ended, and we went OUT, not to bed. What really messed with my head was watching a game when it was light out, but it was dark at the game on TV. I see no problem with the reverse scenario, but watching a night game while it was light out was messing with me.

well, i arrive there usually about 12:15. But seeing how i roll out of bed at roughly 11:45 on sunday mornings, its still morning to me. 11:45am - get up 11:47am - put on deodorant 11:48am - put on bills jersey and pants 11:51am - grab something from kitchen 11:55am - set fantasy football lineup 11:59am - put shoes on 12:00pm - head for bar

wait a minute...i thought it was only in enland they werent allowing electronics as carry-ons? I'm flying tomorrow, and realize i hafta check all my toiletries and such, but i hafta check my electronics too? I thought they were still good as carry-ons for domestic travel?

I completely agree. I am so pumped for the start of football season and watchign the Bills. Being optimistic abotu the season is so much more fun that saying "we suck we have no talent". I dont see why these jackasses even want to watch the games? Hell, no matter how bad we are playing, theres still no feeling like arriving at the bar on sunday morning, grabbing a seat, and waiting for the start of the Bills games. Sure they frustrate the hell out of me a lot fo times, but its fun to watch and root for them. Maybe i am just a sucker, but i cant help being optimistic about the start of the season. Its a new year, and anything can happen. I see no reason to be all piss and vinegar about it. I guess some people are happier when they can complain and B word. And you are right. there are a lot fo posters here who love it when the bills lose, just so they can say they were right. And liek you said, its much easier to predict failure than it is success. But i dont watch baseball saying "this guy has a 70% chance of not getting a hit, so what are you rooting for?", so why do the same for football? are their lives really that pathetic?

I for one hate this !@#$ing rule. Who cares when you lost your damn game? two 11-1 teams should be compared on WHO they beat and WHO they lost to, not WHEN they lost their game. the polls are sooo !@#$ with their logic. Its the whole reason why FSU-Miami is the season opener for both teams. Whichever loses will still have a shot at the end of the season. Sure we'd all rather see FSU-Miami in late november for the ACC title, but whoever lost would be screwed. I find it hilarious how the same loss to the same team should mean MORE if it happens in november as opposed ot septembet. !@#$in NCAA.

Ok, but lets say all you have is your HS diploma, and the new guy has an MBA. Sure you outperformed him, only because you've been working for the company much longer, and know what it takes to do a good, but not exceptional job. You are at your ceiling, while the newbie has all the credentials to someday advance to the top of the business chain. So why promote you when you have ZERO chance of going any higher?

You DO realize that the playoff game, and the 58-48 loss to cincy are the onyl times in 22 career starts that holcomb has put up over 400 yards, dont you? I dont see why holcomb jock sniffers make this claim like holcomb has put up 400 yards every time he steps on the field. In fact, look at his numbers, they are consistently mediocre. I'm happy to have KH as the BACKUP QB of the Bills. If he's starting the season, we're !@#$. But i can make these statements too. For a guy that hasnt had many chances, Losman has lit it up for 3 TD's in a quarter a few times.

My mom teaches 3rd and 4th grade special ed, and has a lot of kids with severe learning disabilities. I have seen her kids come up with more coherent, cognitive, and well thought out sentences and arguements than any one of your posts.

Lindell looked pretty goos last year, and was good from beyond 50. and since when is fairchild a guaranteed pass on 3rd on goal? 1st off, where are they on 3rd and goal? a 3rd down pass isnt uncommon. Also, if you look at last season, when fairchild took over the rams playcalling, steven jacksons carries per game went from about 15 to 20+. You are welcome to your opinion as well. Even it may not show, I like discussing football with you, because you bring a lot of knowledge to the table. But a lot of times, all i see is "whitner sucks because hes 5'11, and hes SMALL., and Marv is going to draft a CB in the first round next year" I'm not saying to agree or like everything the bills do. But instead of repeatedly trashing and harping on the exact same subject, try a discussion, and try to see where the other side is coming from. (like how safeties have become a vital part of a defense) I know a level headed discussion is near impossible on the reatrd roller coaster that is TBD, but even if 2 or 3 of us can have one, it will make things worthwhile.

First it was ESPN and their "hits" stats for the return of the holy one last year. Now one of their peons has come up with a "bad decision matrix" to determine "bad decision percentage" of a QB. Apparently, bad decisons by QB's are based on 4 things. 1. Forcing a pass into coverage 2. Staring at a receiver 3. Throwing the ball despite being tackled 4. Misreading a zone defense and not seeing a defender in the passing lane. Somehow, one can see all of these things on any given play, and also read the QB's mind. Whats the point of wasting time coming up with ridiculous stats like this that have no basis whatsoever? Most of these are simple judgement calls.
