Kerry's Gaff Won't Matter Nov 7

I nominate holcombs arm to be incharge of exit polling. That way we'll get a fair, unbiased analysis of the results. WOW...that last sentence took almost 10 minutes to type as i was laughing hysterically. -

Nate Clements Touted #3 Top Free Agent ...
Ramius replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Close. What you described is a 5 year 40 million deal. The 15 mil SB gets broken down into a 3 mil cap hit every season. Then his salaries would escalate throughout the life of the contract, for the remaining 25 mil, from 1 mil to 9 mil for example. So his yearly cap hits are yr 1 - 3 mil SB, 1 mil salary - 4 mil cap hit yr 2 - 3 mil SB, 3 mil salary - 6 mil cap hit yr 3 - 3 mil SB, 5 mil salary - 8 mil cap hit yr 4 - 3 mil SB, 7 mil salary - 10 mil cap hit yr 5 - 3 mil SB, 9 mil salary - 12 mil cap hit sure he has a low cap hit at the beginning of the deal, but those numbers inflate in a hurry. dax doesnt seem to understand this concept. -

yah for the first few years...they it would quickly escalate into the 8-9, 10-12 mil per year range cap hit. Remember what butler did in the late 90's? Backloading contracts is NOT the way to go. -

Nate is on record as claiming that he wants ot be the highest paid CB, and his production level/talent is no where near that. Currently, the highest paid CB is Champ at 7 years 63 mil. Nate will want at least 50 million, and he's not worth it. He's worth 4-5 mil per season, maybe, maybe, maaaaaybe 6 mil per. But no way is he near the 7-9 mil that he's goign to want. If he'll play for 5 mil per, re-sign him. When he wants his 50+ mil, tell him to walk and let some other team pay it. You dont sign ludicrous contracts just because you have the cap space. -
just a quick question...why did they spend roughly half a season on the tail group just to have them all killed off this quickly?
-
If you sign steinbach, you can move reyes over to RG, his position with carolina.

We're talking apples to apples. 3. The article fits in nicely with what I've said--that intelligence is largely genetic, that parental intelligence drives the intelligence of children, etc. The formula which I cited is basically a mathematical definition of regression toward the mean. I've addressed the issue elsewhere. And at least for Weiss, regression toward the mean is simply an artifact of measurement error, rather than a genuinue phenomenon. Certainly it's not something that should be allowed to stand in the way of an otherwise welcome eugenics program. 822661[/snapback] It takes a special brand of stupid to !@#$ things up beyond all recognition like you have done here. I probably wouldnt know tho, because i am so busy between work and anger management classes.

agreed. if you want and NEED something, you sometimes have to overpay for it. Steinbach will go where the $$$ is. When the power is out, you might have to overpay for a generator. The power has been out on the o-line for a while now, time to pony to to get some juice.

It IS rather amusing, but its not really fair. Kind of like when everyone gets the joke except the person it is being played on.

type 4 and type 5 feathers? do you wake up in the morning and say to yourself "lets see how big of a moron i can look like today."

Arrrrgh! Aboard the USS Kittenpaw shrimpboat vessel. Sadly, the captain passed away in a shipwreck.

How is it possible to have an intelligent discussion with someone who relies on falsehoods, faulty statistics, and cannot even comprehend what other people have written? You are too dumb to even recognize your own stupidity.

mechanic and teacher. i guess society would have been better off had my mom gotten her tubes tied, instead of working her ass off and going to night school while she was raising me by herself. I'm not even sure why my mom even bothered getting her Masters degree. she should have just accepted her place in society and done nothing. Maybe she would have made some money by winning "America's Stupidest Woman ©".

Of course, theres no way a bull in a china shop, such as myself, could even begin to understand this. I obviously didnt take any bio classes that covered the carbon cycle while an undergrad earning my Bio-Molecular science degree, so i apparently have no clue on how the cycle works or what influences are there. But, once again, you display your inability to critically assess a given situation. At this point its rather comical. You want to only view the last 10,000 years. Hello! McFly! You cant just isolate the last 10,000 years when historical evidence demonstrates that numerous times throughout history, the CO2 levels were an ORDER OF MAGNITUDE higher than they are today. But then again, ignoring and omitting contrary evidence is your strong point. Take a look at this paper, specifically figure 3. The current 300 ppm pales in comparison to the CO2 levels that help steady at 1500-2000 ppm for millions of years. Theres about 500 more papers just like this too. http://www.pnas.org/cgi/content/full/99/20/12567 Cycles like these occur over varying timeframes. They occur over a decade, over a century, over a millenia, over tens and hundreds of thousands of years. They occur over millions of years. You cannot just look at a mere fraction of the earth's history and come up with a conclusion. But i dont suppose you could even begin to understand something as complex as a fractal. Dont !@#$ with me when it comes to science. you are way over your head. Whats your next agenda, going to tell me that dinosaurs didnt have feathers?
-
definitely boyshorts...
-
granted, humans arent helping the situation. That was another conclusion of the paper. But i wouldnt expect him to understand that. But to think that the earth would stop warming if humans stopped all emission of greenhouse gasses in laughable. Mother earth would just smile and keep on warming. Humans WANT to think that we are causing warming, because it gives us control over the situation, which is comforting. The scariest thing to the human race is something they cant control.

ask holcombs arm, i'm sure him and kurt has some formula to calculate goodness in their genocide manifesto. -
Oh boy, here we go again! Memo to holcombs arm...try not to debate science issure on which you have no !@#$ing idea what you are talking about with published scientists. As for global warming...the earth CO2 levels now are in the 300 ppm range. Millions of years ago, they were as high as 3000 ppm. I took an entire course on global warming on which we were required to write a 50 page white paper on the topic. The conclusion of 99% of the class...the globe is warming, but NOT because of human activity. Its called natural warming/cooling cycles. Of course, using your lahjik, i can omit all the previous warming cycles in history to show make a case that global warming is unnatural.

Not me. I see nothing wrong with being a piss man and making $100K per year. I'd do it. -
Do you enjoy getting your asss kicked in multiple threads? Syhuang is absolutely rodney king-ing you over on the main board over faulty stats, and you are still going on over here?
